“Dr. Steere is an absolutely fantastic vet for our lab and cat. She goes above and beyond in her care of our pet family. She has guided us on our allergy treatment of our lab through multiple treatment options. Dr. Steere clearly relays the pros and cons of every medical decision she makes to us.
It is also very evident that she loves what she does and our pets love her back! My wife and I joke that we wish Dr. Steere was our medical doctor due to the patient care she exhibits.”

“Big shout-out to the Highland Veterinary Hospital team. Today I had to put down my 16 year old dog, and Dr. Gary and his team came all the way out to my house so that he could pass comfortably in a familiar place. They were professional and compassionate throughout the entire process, asking me questions and explaining everything along the way. They handled all paperwork in advance so that I could just be in the moment to say goodbye to my dog. All of our clinic visits have been very pleasant as well, and I never feel like they were pushing unnecessary things on me. Highly recommend!”
“Highly recommend this vet clinic. We could not be more pleased with the extraordinary service our three dogs have received from Dunloggin over the years.
While each of the vets we’ve seen at Dunloggin deliver effective, compassionate care - we mainly see Dr. Holland. She’s caring, kind, and deeply experienced. We never feel rushed during visits and Dr. Holland takes time to answer all our questions.
The front desk staff and Vet Techs are also terrific. Clean, well-run clinic.”

“Took my dog here for the first time and I’m so grateful. Front office and staff were all very welcoming, the appointment was easy to make and we were seen shortly after filling out paperwork. Dr. Gibbons was wonderful. She was compassionate, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. My dog gets very stressed at the vets and she was so kind and gentile. The office environment was warm, comfortable and clean. My dog already seems to be feeling so much better. Thank you for taking the best care for Zoomer! Its great to know my best friend is in such good hands.”

“Dr. Wolf, Bess, Laurie, and the rest of the team were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! ♥️ We brought our cat to VCA due to an illness that needed urgent attention/treatment and they got us in the very next morning on a Saturday (even though we had never been here before and I called them late Friday evening). They also worked with us on the finacial side and we were able to get our cat the medications she desperately needed to get back to her healthy, happy self! She's back to doing all the things-- lounging, basking in the sun, eating, purring, and licking her plastic bags! THANKS VCA of Columbia!!! ?”

Admittedly, our dogs are high maintenance (we have a 15-year old special needs dog with a lot of health issues) and they have always been compassionate, responsive, and practical. “They're amazing, they are a smaller clinic but if it hadn't been for them taking my cats X-rays her lungs could've filled with more fluids before we ended up getting them drained at apex ? she ended up having cancer but these doctors will forever be the ones who saved my cat with their advice and care. (I have 12 pets as well so their benefits for customer loyalty is such a big help)”
“I have taken my cat Neo to Dr Yadiapalli at Freetown Animal Hospital for 9 years. He has recently had a health issue, and she has been wonderful in helping diagnose and treat him. She initiates contact with his Internal Med Dr. and helps me understand his condition and treatment plan. She is extremely knowledgeable, experienced and kind.”

“Found these marvelous folks during COVID, with an aging kitty who needed home veterinary care. Best decision ever. Dr Budge and team gave us a few more years with our sweet boy, and improved his quality of life as well, conquering a lifelong ear infection. “Fairland Animal Hospital has taken care of our three rescue adopted Miniature Pinschers since their first visit after adoption. Te staff and veterinarians care about four-legged family members and treat them with love and respect. The veterinarians are able to explain problems that surface and what treatment options are available. We highly recommend this practice.”
“I am very grateful for the care and attention given to my Lab, Sophie. She had a problem that was last minute and my regular vet could not fit her in for several days despite the fact that I was a long time customer of theirs. Howard County Animal Hospital fit us in easily and then ended up having to do emergency surgery the next day. They were very kind to my pet and took the time to explain everything carefully and completely. They also showed great compassion to her throughout. I have always been happy with my original vet, but I was so impressed with their care that I have decided to continue using their services. Thanks for all you do for animals!!”
“Thank you so much for squeezing Captain Morgan in. Dr. Alcott was great, I really appreciate the time he took with us and explaining things. I will try to keep him from eating stuff from outside which is almost close to impossible. It took a good week and he finished his medication and is back to "normal".
Thanks again to the front desk staff and Patrick was very helpful (as usual) answering my reply texts since I can't always get to my emails.

“I was looking at past reviews and I can see why they had Dr. Shah join the team. It seems to me that their issue was being short staffed. I followed Dr. Shah from his previous place of employment (Glen Burnie Animal Hospital)... I will follow Dr. Shah wherever he goes... Yes, it sucks driving 45 minutes to get to this Vet from my house but soooooooo worth it. Since you don't know anything about me ... I love any animal and I do everything I can to help any animal but my in-home pets are my entire world... I have a kitty who is healthy, built like a horse and is strong as hell... I also have a 14 year old teacup, applehead Chihuahua. She is the reason I am so detailed on this review. I know there are other pet owners similar to me when it comes to their baby and reviews are EVERYTHING. My dog is hand fed piece by piece, carried around in a robe and even gets an umbrella held over her when it rains to drop the big ol rain drops from hitting her little head ... Pray for us because my husband and I are her biggest enablers and she knows we serve her every need and want and takes advantage of it... She has to get her anal glands "expressed/emptied" and you have a Vet expressed/emptied "internally" compared to a place like petco that can empty them by attempting to do it "externally" where they just squeeze each one from the outside of her booty but expressing them externally does not do it correctly. I have seen Dr. Shah once a month for the past 7 years now which is when I first moved here. I would do anything for this dog... I am the pickiest, aggressive, protective owner when it is in regards to anything that concerns my baby girl. She has had 3 teeth removed two times in the past and once was by Dr. Shah but she received a total mouth extraction by a referral directly from Dr. Shah. He didn't want do it due to the high risk with her being 14 years old, how small she is and because of the difficulty there would be to get one particular tooth out. I had never been so scared in my life like I was when she got her total tooth extraction done (occurred on my birthday 08/11/2023) but I had went through with it because of how much I trust and respect Dr. Shah's judgement/opinion. He has never "sugar coated" anything when it comes to my animals. The staff are great at Bethany Centennial Animal Hospital... little expensive but worth it. Highly recommend Dr. Shah for your Veterinarian but I don't have experience with any of the other vets at the location. Regardless, I think people who are reading these the older negative reviews should still give this place a chance because if they can make me happy, anyone should be happy lol.”
“My pom went in for his dental. Usually my vet does the cleaning but his k9 was lose, and I was referred there. Dr. Kim was awesome and comforting. She explained everything in detail and why he needed all his teeth remove. She was so sweet to both me and my pom. After the surgery, she sent me pictures of before, during and after, which I very much appreciate. I also like that they are very thorough with the pre-op. The front desk was very nice. Overall, I had a good experience. For improvement -- with the amount of money you pay, I feel like we all should have a red carpet treatment. As soon as you walk into the place, it says something about if your dog poop/pee, it’s your responsibility to clean up. I think they should have a warmer welcome sign. As a pet parent, I’m nervous as it is. If our dogs poop/pee, help us clean it up especially the amount we’re paying. While we’re holding our babies who could be in pain and nervous, let us just focus on that. My poms never poop and pee in a doctor’s office before, but I feel for other pawrents. Lastly, I do think the price is outrageous. It was almost $5000!”

“This practice is fantastic, affordable and practical. When my dog needed a growth removed from her hawk, we consulted with another practice and they invoiced us at nearly $3000 and explained that’s she may need to be held at the location for 24 hours. After coming here and getting the procedure done I only paid $400, which is nearly 1/5 of the quoted estimate and my dog came home with me the same day. They made the care seamless and affordable, could not recommend a better practice!”
