“Recently my elderly mother-in-law needed her apartment vacated due to her transition into long-term care. This transition has been extremely stressful, EXCEPT for the part when her belongings successfully landed in storage at Extra Space. Ryan Dugan (district team leader) and Jacqueline Vasquez (assistant store manager) each greatly facilitated this process. Ryan ensured that the unit was fully accessible prior to the move, and operated the gates so the truck could easily maneuver into and out of the property on a busy Saturday morning. He tipped me off to the advantages of exploring the “long range storage solution”, which helps to lock in the introductory rate. After settling in for a week or two I circled back to discuss details with Jacqueline. She answered all questions and left me to decide what I wanted to do, which she then expertly executed. Ryan and Jacqueline are both very personable. Each reacted to my considerable awkwardness and edginess with much needed understanding and kindness. They are quite forthcoming with every bit of information one would need to evaluate their options and make peace with resting their stuff at Extra Space. Great teamwork!”

“This is a review of Public Storage, located at 807 South Frederick AveGaithersburg, MD 20877. I have rented a 10 x 10 storage unit at this location of Public Storage for about 20 months. I went back to my storage unit on November 2, 2023. I found the premise to be super clean. Not a single piece of trash. I happened to see the manager, Michael, using a broom and dust pan to sweep around the premise. He has been the manager since the first day I started my monthly rental of my storage unit there. He has done a superb job managing the Public Storage at the 807 South Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg location.”

“They need more hand trucks/ dollies . I waited for 35 minutes. Lady from front desk did help find one, but there should be way to reserve a cart, especially on a move-in date. I learned part of the problem was a customer had locked one of the dollies in their unit. If they don't free up the dolly they will be fined $500. Why would anyone think they had a right to lock up a dolly that other customers need? Selfish!”

“It’s only fair that on those rare occasions when something important goes well we pause for a moment to recognize and appreciate it. Such was the case when the time came to vacate my mother-in-law’s apartment and move the contents into storage. No more than three days elapsed from the time I made a preliminary inquiry until I was able to experience the relief of a job well done. Cindy took my first call, on Thursday, got some basics from me and handed me off to Gordon Moyer III (that’s right, family business, absolutely) to process a few forms. Malakai Boston finalized things and answered all of my last-minute questions. Saturday morning, before noon, the move was complete. Felipe and his helper were terrific. They maneuvered the truck into tight spaces at both ends of the move, and had their furniture dollies dancing like nunchuks. I had mostly boxes, but the few pieces of furniture I had were well wrapped with both paper and plastic. There was no time wasted, and every care taken. The final bill came in under the estimate. I would recommend this outfit to anyone. I did this for my wife and her family. This team made me a hero. Relief, yes, and also gratitude.”
