I have been coming here for years, and sometimes I do experience rude customer service but Cassidy is absolutely amazing. She is the reason I come to this location. She always greets you with a smile and provides kind, professional, and welcoming service. I have an injured elbow and in a lot of pain and she was very patient and helped answer all of my questions. I did not feel rushed and am very grateful for the time she took to explain everything. With my elbow being out of commission, I am not able to do simple things like brush my hair, and of course for us ladies it’s important to have our hair looking nice. When I went to pick up my medication, I asked if she could help me brush and tie me crazy hair, and she was more than happy to offer to help with a smile. She is absolutely the best. She is no doubt the best and kind and helpful, and Giant is lucky to have her. Thank you for years of kindness and helping me with all my questions with patience and kindness.

They've been my pharmacy for two decades or more -- excellent treatment, no complaints ever!

Generally understaffed and often not fully stocked. Even so, the location is ideal for me and I come here often. Other upsides are that it is clean, well-lit, and reasonably well-organized with a broad selection of foods.

Not at all sure who put up 2 five-star reviews but it's not all that.Dr. called in an RX yesterday. Went to pick it up (24 hours later) and, not only was it NOT filled, it wasn't even on hand! They had to order it for, hopefully, pick up tomorrow. They didn't call me to inform me. I waited 15 minutes while they tried to update my insurance info. Still no RX...Will NOT use again.

(Revised Friday, 5/22/2020) I edited this review from my original posting because I believe I was a little too tough on these hard-working employees. Generally, I like this particular Giant. Regarding the newly created senior citizen shopping time (6:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m.), I noticed that they were making an effort to display the sale prices on the shelves, during those hours; however, it can't be done in an hour. The store was not crowded with zillions of customers, but there were quite a lot of customers for the 6:00 a.m. hour. They seem to be trying to accommodate the early morning customers. I am wondering if Giant is charging the plastic bag tax fee during this pandemic, since Giant will not bag groceries into the customer-provided, reusable bags. Keep in mind that some people aren't used to bagging their own groceries; therefore, the checkout lines move slower. I'm used to bagging my own groceries and prefer to bag my own. I also prefer the self-checkout. Panic shopping: In a way, I'm a panic shopper. I buy higher quantities because I know that the hardcore panic shoppers are out there buying HUGE quantities. So, I try to beat the hardcore panic shoppers, knowing that they will load up with baskets full of paper towels, TP, water, etc., etc. Large families can have each family member load up a basket full of stuff. When I first heard about the virus, I saw this coming--just like when the weather forecast predicts snow, whereby the so-called "milk & bread" shoppers start rushing to the store. I've been around a long time; so planning ahead helps to get ahead of the hardcore panic shoppers. Temporarily, I'm having spring water delivered to my front door for at least one year, until shopping gets back to normal. Although having water delivered to my home is more expensive, I can't be sure that the shelves will consistently have water available. I started buying higher quantities in January: on-line and in the stores. So now, I have plenty of paper towels & TP; and each time I go into the store or buy something on-line, I buy another large pack of these items and other items, if available (which they often aren't). Plan ahead and stay positive. There's a light at the end of this tunnel.

This is another Great Giant to go to . This has all you can ever want from this place such as stationary needs books Newspapers , Food , Floral , bakery , deli, and seafood , and Produce and so much more Even a pharmacy area . They have good self scan lines and good cashier lines . They have a good customer service desk . Not much I can say about the staff teams there , its the same with all the Giants . Management , I can't say or speak for all of them how they are average I would say . They should be judged according to actions & Deeds Not Their Politics . But the most important part of the mission there get to know the customers as a explorer would and learn off them and get to be part of something much bigger than yourself than you ever thought was possible . This is who us Giant Employees must be natural born explorers , Seekers of Knowledge . Give people an experience they will never forget . So drop on down to the Giant Food In Germantown ,MD and Have a great time there . Happy Shopping Everyone !

Done. I have watched this store treat certain residents like criminals and I refuse to give this store another cent of my hard earned salary. Watching your customers like hawks while they try to make purchases instead of helping them, going out of your way to strategically place yourself near certain customers then move once they leave, is not the way to do business. I will let my dollars do the talking and find a grocery store that treats customers like clients not criminals. Luckily there are now several others to choose from!

Fatima at Giant Bake Shop is amazing! She worked with me to craft the perfect birthday cakes for my husband's 50th birthday celebration! She corresponded with me throughout the process of creating the design of the cakes -- this was my first photo cake -- and offered her guidance and expertise on how to arrive at the best result. I'm so thankful Fatima took the time during her busy day to make sure I was completely satisfied. Exceptional service like this is hard to come by and is worth writing about. Thank you!

Bought this yesterday from Giant in Germantown. Obviously not doing date checks in the deli over there and then I guess they aren't even looking at the meat/cheese they are slicing and giving to customers. Half pound of Swiss cheese with green mold and white mold fuzz on it. Giant trying to set me up with a trip to the hospital! No thanks.

They are alert to potential interactions between medications. It has been years since anyone was rude. I think that may be why she has been gone for quite a while. All of those who are there are pretty nice. However, it is a busy pharmacy, so sometimes it takes a while to be served.
