“Woodend was the PERFECT venue for our wedding! The grove and mansion are beautiful spaces, you really don’t need a lot of decor to make them look nice. The tent offered the perfect indoor-outdoor experience and piece of mind as a backup plan. The location is wonderful - it feels like the house is secluded and private, but you are only about 8 minutes from a wide range of hotel options in Bethesda for guests.
Beatriz was great to work with, she answered all our questions and was very communicative.
Not only did Woodend fit our wedding vision, but we also loved that we could support a good cause at the same time. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend Woodend Sanctuary for a wedding.”
“We have done over 100 rooms all over the country. This rates in the top 5! Awesome room. Logical and well themed. Not ‘canned’ like the corporate run rooms. Can’t wait for them to expand into the addional rooms!”
“Spacious, convenient location, and super friendly staff there to help with onboarding and troubleshooting any issues. I joined as a community member to primarily use the shared office spaces, and couldn't ask for more! Highly recommend for any others looking for a no-frills co-working arrangement.”
“Great atmosphere and service. I did a 1 hour lesson with Anthony working on fixing iron and driver slicing. After one session and some practice tips from Anthony, I could tell my game improved out on the course. Highly recommend for a fun day/night out and lessons if in the area!”

“Fun place to cool off, albeit the signs say no wading, bathing, or swimming, lots of people still take a quick dip. We stop after afternoon Nationals games to cool down. Ice cream and restaurants closeby.”
“Excellent production value, really enjoyed several of the sequences in terms of choreography and incorporating Star Wars narrative aspects. Took 1 star off for cramped seating - make sure you show up early, as seating is first come, first serve.”
“Attended a wedding reception here!
Pleasantly surprised by how nice the facility was! The staff was very pleasant and attentive to the bridal parties' requests!”
“First time and It was an amazing experience! I was there supporting A Touch of Lynay Creations LLC. The owner is in the white shirt (we're wearing her customed shirts). She creates and prints wording to press on her products! Overall Chill vibes, the band and different singing artists were a vibe. Food trucks, drinks and all the vendors were friendly and brought out their best products.”
“Went to see Derek Hough's Symphony of Dance. First off..... Amazing show!My first time at Capital One Hall. What a great facility. There truly isn't a bad seat in the place. I parked in the garage a couple blocks away. Super easy to get to and a short walk to the Hall.”
“We had our 105+ person wedding ceremony on the rooftop garden at Fathom Gallery 14th St and loved every second! The space spoke to who we are as a couple and is situated in the heart of 14th Street, where our love grew. The Fathom ladies (as we affectionately call them), Meg, Emily, and their team are phenomenal stewards of the space. Meg and Emily worked interchangeably to help us with seamless communication and flexibility throughout our wedding planning. We decided to have just our wedding ceremony at the gallery, and they found the right pricing to make it work for both parties. The space outside fits just over 100 people perfectly. We used the upstairs for the bridal party right before the ceremony, which was an addition that was well worth it. On our wedding day, the team was on-site and provided great energy as we made our way down the aisle. We took wedding portraits with family and made the ten-minute walk to our reception venue, Gypsy Kitchen, straight down 14th Street!
What separates the Fathom team is the little things. They were able to get the building next door to shut off their AC unit during the ceremony, which made a huge difference, given that we were outside. If you choose to have your wedding at Fathom Gallery, they will print ten of your favorite photos of you and your spouse for display around the venue. Having your wedding at Fathom Gallery will ensure you are in good hands and in a beautiful space!”
“This place is awesome. Read the directions carefully for how to find it. It's an easy drive but finding the entrance is not easy right now, due to construction. I came for the Friday night West Coast Swing lessons and it was so much fun. It was a huge group of people, but it's a huge space. The instructors were fantastic. They have a good system too--beginner lesson at 7:30. Intermediate lesson at 8:15. What's nice is that at that time, beginners move into a different space for a practice session with the instructors. At 9 pm the social dancing starts. There are tables in the back and food/drink. The people who come here are really friendly. I will definitely be back, even though it's a 40 minute drive for me.”
“I'm a club life member from Tampa and the service, accommodations, and atmosphere has been exceptional. I joined the club in my city and part of the numerous benefits that attracted me included being able to go to other cities and utilize the clubs there. This experience in DC has confirmed that I made the right choice and I've already recommended it to my husband for his work trips to DC.”
“Tea with Mrs B is a truly special experience! We've been multiple times and this Valentine's Day Tea was exceptional. Mrs B is amazing at affirming and building our daughter's self-confidence, all while teaching manners in a fun way. I am a pediatrician and it’s amazing to see how she and her staff have such a deep understanding of child development and creates an engaging environment. Our five-year-old always has a fantastic time! Mrs B's dedication to empowering young children is commendable. Highly recommend for a delightful and enriching experience!”
“The place is incredible on the outside, we did not enter the place. We were taking some photos and suddenly a very angry lady came out, we didn't know why? , she opened the door, shouted something and entered again, knocking down the door... We did a photo shoot there, we're sorry if it's not allowed.”
“This is a great space for a party or special event. I've worked numerous events here and the staff is always so easy to work with and flexible. Highly recommended!”

“The Alchemist room was very unique and interesting, we did got stuck a few times but Amanda was super helpful without revealing the answers to the puzzles. Lots of fun, highly recommended!”
“Post 41 certainly lives up to it's claim to be "The Friendliest Post in Maryland." It is run and frequented by friendly, down-to-earth people who enjoy seeing each other over good, affordable food and drinks. The Post hosts live music on weekends and does a lot of good in the community, sponsoring Cub Scouts, baseball teams, etc. It's not the busiest or flashiest place in downtown Silver Spring, but definitely a hidden gem.”
“I attended an anniversary party there not long ago. They were celebrating one year of being in business. It's a great place to rent for any number of events. However, parking is not great because it's located downtown DC.”
“Such a beautiful venue to make your vision of your event come to life!!!I had a smooth process from booking the space to the night of my event. Staff was communicative and helped make it a night to remember. I would definitely recommend and use again in the future.”
“Great place to work if you don’t have to be in the office, meet friends or mingle with members of the 4th estate. The second level is reserved for members only and their guests, so if you’re not a member, find a friend who is.”
“As a wedding photographer, I can't speak highly enough of VisArts Rockville. The venue's attention to detail and flexibility make it a dream to work with, ensuring every moment is captured beautifully. From the picturesque surroundings to the impeccable service, VisArts Rockville consistently exceeds expectations, making it a top choice for couples seeking a memorable wedding experience. “I was there to Officiate a wedding. Nick the Clubhouse Manager was very hospitable, professional and helpful. Nice size venue and I was told they have space to rent downstairs as well. Great drinks. Clean establishment and parking was available. I hope to be back to Officiate”
“Studio 52 is such a hip & trendy space! It's so versatile to be your dream venue! It's in a great location for guests to get in and out of DC easily. You'll definitely want to check it out!”
“We’re so lucky to live around the corner from Nature Forward, it is an awesome place to explore. Our neighborhood doesn’t have sidewalks so it’s especially nice to be able to take our kids here and let them walk. The paved paths were done within the past year and are super smooth for the stroller. It’s always clean here and its great that there are two bathrooms available too.”
