“A good green space to visit. It offers educational activities for families and companies. They offer tours ( with a price) & need to be booked in advance. It offers science behind tree planting, management and gives information on tree management is done to retain water, avoid erosion etc. we had been given the tour by two people - both of them were knowledge and has good humor to keep kids excited about this topic. There is a small shop to purchase, has restrooms.
One main point is its playground which is designed with wood while considering wood-based sensory plays.”
“Great escape room! The production value was amazing! All the props were really high quality and many of them were authentic antiques. Good story line as well. Would definitely recommend!”

“I hit up the DC Wharf waterfront spots pretty regularly, and it’s always a great time. Whether I’m catching the ferry or just enjoying the vibe, the Wharf never disappoints. Recently, I went for the DC Jazz Festival, and the talent was unreal—just an amazing atmosphere.
Saturday brunch at the Wharf is a must. Makers Union’s bottomless brunch is one of my favorites, but there are so many options, you really can’t go wrong.
One of the best parts is how dog-friendly it is. I can bring my dog, and almost every restaurant welcomes him. It’s a fun spot for my wife and me, and even when we bring family, there’s something for everyone.”
“This is a beautiful event space with a great vibe! I love the decorations and table set-up. The staff were wonderful!!! The full service catering was excellent!!! The communication was fantastic from the beginning to the end!!! You will not be disappointed with this venue!”
“Have been coming to this Venture X for 3 years. Absolutely awesome place to work. Spent many years at WeWork before that… VX is the way to go. Great crew and, importantly, very large phone booths! Highly recommend”
“Absolutely fantastic DC Watch show hosted by none other than the Mr. Time Bum! And it’s completely FREE to the public!
What an event, soo many watch companies (many of whom are stellar micro-brands), the place was packed with enthusiasts!
We only went on March 8th but it’s a two day event.
So many brands to discover, and so many opportunities to buy fantastic watches at a large discounts. But most important of all, you get to try watches that are usually only available online.
Great atmosphere overall, wasn’t too crowded to the point where you couldn’t move. You actually get to talk in person to brand owners and their reps. And they even have daily giveaways!”
“Private club that allows open table reservations ... We had great service, mussels appetizer was super. We split a salad and the steak frites - they split in the kitchen and presented separately - nice touch! Food was great ...”
“It’s a cute vintage theater. Knocking a star off for the super sticky floors. I was seated and wanted to tap my feet along to the music but the soles of my shoes were getting stuck ?”
“As a frequent visitor, I just checked out the latest exhibits. It's pleasant to see whatever is currently shown, and almost always there's a beautiful (IMHO) and affordable work that someone else has snapped up. Grounds also are pretty.”
“We had our wedding at Fathom Gallery on 14th Street a couple days ago and it was absolutely amazing! The space is gorgeous. It has such a cool vibe and made for the most beautiful setting. Emily, Meg, and Olivia are seriously the best. They were so easy to work with, super organized, and just genuinely great people. It honestly made it a no-brainer to choose Fathom! They also connected us with the best vendors, which made the whole planning process so easy and stress-free. Couldn’t recommend this venue and team more!”
“Gorgeous location and the food was fantastic. Really great event space. Can hold really large or more intimate events. Garage parking is nice addition but it isn't free parking.”
“We had our winter wedding Reception at Cherry Hill Ballroom December 13th, 2003. (22 years ago) It was a good experience. I will never forget. Since it was Holiday season they had a huge beautiful Christmas tree well decorated and a fireplace. It was so cosy and all the guest were happy and comfortable.”
“Beautiful venue, wonderful staff! Alan, Lindsey and his team went above and beyond to ensure our event was impeccable. Thank you so much for helping us to make memories that last a lifetime!”
“I love it down here, sometimes my son gets in the water and sometimes we go on the other side, find a tree and sit under it. A chill vibe with friendly people. One important part for me is the Throne Toilets porta potty because you scan the qr code with your phone, that prompts you to send a text and when you come out they send a survey, it controls who comes in while also allowing you to let them know if its clean. All in all, I love The Yards Park and recommend it and go maybe 2-4 times a month. I thought this pic was cool, shows some of why I love it, the water. I went down again snd took some other pics while on a boat ride, thank me later”

“We loved Mess Hall as our wedding venue! Al was incredibly responsive and helpful. He made the planning process much smoother by always being available to answer questions and give suggestions. Additionally, because the venue is also a food incubator, he was able to make excellent suggestions for catering.
The venue itself is a gem—unique, versatile, and full of character. The space allowed us to get creative, and we were given carte blanche to design a wedding that truly reflected our vision. We couldn't have been happier with how it all came together.”
“The place was beautiful, unique, and modern. The artwork and furniture was on point. You can do alot with the space. And the speakers were good for music. Nice place to hold a party. However be prepared to come with your own clean up supplies like trash bags and paper towels if you plan on having more than finger foods. And the only sinks available are the bathroom sinks at least on the top floor.”

“My wife and I really enjoyed working with Mary and her team at VisArts. We had looked at around eight different venues before coming to VisArts. The venue stood out to us due to the space and the flexibility they offered with doing an outdoor wedding versus an indoor one (we opted for an indoor one). The location was also great since we were right by the Cambria Hotel Rockville (a 5-minute walk) and the Rockville metro station, meaning our guests could take the train from the airport. These were all pluses when it came to accommodating our out-of-town guests.
The cost was a bit more expensive than what we were originally considering, and that feeling persisted as we opted for some add-on things like the use of the roof for our cocktail reception, some decor, and a Zoom livestream for our ceremony. In total, it was $6,200 for the room rental package (a Saturday during peak wedding season) and $1,800 for the add-ons. Something unexpectedly nice was that 20% of the cost of our venue package was classified as a donation to VisArts and thus was tax-deductible. We felt good about supporting a local non-profit organization through our wedding.
Mary and her team were incredibly communicative and clear discussing what was expected of both them and us throughout the booking process. Overally, we’d definitely recommend VisArts as a space for anyone considering looking for a venue.

“My baby shower was held here and I can't speak more highly about the space, service and owner. It felt so nice to sit back and just enjoy my day, knowing I didnt have to set-up, serve, or take down anything. Rebecca, Mrs B, made sure everything was taken care of, but even before that was in communication with me, making sure any needs or desires I had were met. Rebecca is so kind and truly wants to make sure your special event is everything you want. She is a positive light whose love for what she does illuminates throughout the room. She has truly created a space that incorporates a playful, yet sophisticated environment for people of all ages.
There should be no hesitation on booking with Tea With Mrs B! You will leave smiling ear to ear with the best memories!!
Thank you, again, for everything, Rebecca!”

“Great place to work if you don’t have to be in the office, meet friends or mingle with members of the 4th estate. The second level is reserved for members only and their guests, so if you’re not a member, find a friend who is.”
“Beautiful venue, both inside and outside. Very easy access from the beltway. As for parking, while there was plenty for this wedding, if it were larger, there may be parking issues.”
“WONDERFUL. For a nice, self guided tour of US Navy History, this is the place. Clean and comfortable, you'll enjoy getting out of the heat or cold. The first shop offers all US Military branch souvenirs. I love coming here on every trip to DC.”
“Was there for a party. Beautiful and spacious. Space for reception, large room for speakers, that converted to dance floor with DJ and beautiful outdoor balcony. Additional rooms on first floor. Wonderful for large parties/event in gorgeous historic building.”
“I had my quince in the location this past Sunday and Camilo was very professional and so kind! He listened to everything from the very start and he has such an amazing vibe. Will definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family. Thank you for making my day extra special :)”
“Very nice atmosphere. Food was tasty, well presented, and satisfactory portion sizes. Better signage needed to direct patrons to the floor that the Club is on, especially when there is no guard at the lobby desk.”
“Extremely fun.. buy coupon on groupon. It will save you tons. They have deals for groups 2, 4, or 6 people for two hours with shoe rental included. More bang for your buck. Music is a hit too.”
“I've lived in Silver Spring and can't believe it took me several years to find out about this place! It's got live music plus affordable beers, liquor, onion rings, and burgers. Parking is easy because the door opens right onto a county parking garage and lot. The crowd tends to be on the older side but everyone is happy and in a good mood. Cheap drinks will do that for you!”
“I attended an anniversary party there not long ago. They were celebrating one year of being in business. It's a great place to rent for any number of events. However, parking is not great because it's located downtown DC.”
“What a fun activity to do with kids, but perfect for adults too. It’s best to reserve online and come in. The staff was friendly, Jasmine helped us find pieces in our budget and prepare materials as we went along. It’s a nice relaxing afternoon during open studio time, great indoor activity to do with your kids, friends or just solo. Def will be back.”
“Great space, visited twice for the annual Whiskey Washback event. An upstairs mezzanine with tasting rooms, a lower ballroom with good ambiance. Easy accessible via the metro and several nearby garages offering discounted evening parking rates.”
“We’re so lucky to live around the corner from Nature Forward, it is an awesome place to explore. Our neighborhood doesn’t have sidewalks so it’s especially nice to be able to take our kids here and let them walk. The paved paths were done within the past year and are super smooth for the stroller. It’s always clean here and its great that there are two bathrooms available too.”
