Overall: 3.50. Convenient local post office with full service counter, PO Boxes, package droop-off, etc. Feels like stepping into a time warp. Located in Chevy Chase on Wisconsin Avenue next to the Courtyard Marriott. Attached garage with hourly paid parking options. Short walking distance from Friendship Heights Metro station (about 3 city blocks).

Pleasant, efficient staff. Experienced with international mailing forms/requirements. Small shop, but we’ll-stocked. Long waits only on tax filing days & right before Xmas when people are mailing gifts.

I rented and paid for a PO Box in July, but it is taking months to get the key. Whenever I go to this location to pick the key up, the POC is never there. Ive gone in the morning at 11am, Ive gone in the afternoon both early and mid-afternoon. I just dont get it.

Has anyone been able to pick up their PO Box key? Ive tried three times during normal business hours and the POC who handles this is never there. I was provided with a phone number to call her-- there was no answer. I am disappointed because I paid for this PO Box in full online but no efforts are being made to provide me with a key. My PO Box rental started in July. We are now in October and I still do not have access.

Customers pay for bad office morale The staff at this location has recently changed; the tension between employees is so thick you could cut it with a knife; they are all miserable. I have been there repeatedly for low-value stamps (1,2 and 5 cents) and they do not have any. The manager made it clear that he will order them when he will get around to it, which is nowhere near soon. As a former federal worker, it makes me sick to my stomach to see the public being served so poorly. I will even go to the Tenleytown PO which is a much longer walk, but what about the neighborhood elderly residents who do not have a choice? You should be ashamed of such service.

Polite but just as inept and incompetent as 90% of US POst Offices from the clerk to the manager.

Very helpful and efficient. Had a great chat with the guy here about cycling and cross-state rides.

Slow service. Workers taking their sweet time like they have all the time in the world while the line is out the door. Needed a witness or notary for some paperwork and the worker just told me to go to a bank. Thanks for making me wait in a long line for nothing. No wonder the USPS is losing money.

I dont mail stuff often but I got terrible help and unclear explanations from staff. I have been given better explanations on how to perform heart transplant surgery in chinese than how to send an express package here. But at least they were nice people.
