So many great buys and finds! They do auction sales on the weekend! You can shop in store on weekdays. I love it here, I could ever few weeks to see what I can find.

First interaction: a html / dos website that looks like something designed by a high school student in 1998, and now that I think about it, probably is. Even the error codes (500 - Internal server error), which are ubiquitous, are old school. Then there's the matter of bad photography and misrepresentation. Of three items I purchased from here, who were, in essence, junk, represented as high end antiques, one was okay. Caveat emptor. Better yet, go to reputable auction house.

This auction house was great. Jean Carlo Rivera handled my friend's estate with skill, compassion and attention to detail. When my friend left 150 paintings and scores of coffee table size art books which needed to be sold to pay his estate expenses. It was all very unusual stuff. Mr. Rivera researched the provenance of each painting and gave a reasonable value. He also figured out how to offer these unusual items for sale so that they would bring the maximum return, which we need to pay debts and taxes, etc. On top of all their professionalism, they are just nice people to deal with. The only glitch was with the guys who came to pick up the art work and books. They did not want to walk to the 3rd floor. However, they relented and I tipped them well. I understand that they were tired and it was a long way to the third floor, no elevator.I highly recommend this auction house. I have handled five other estates. This place was the best.

I've known of this place for years, but this was my first time buying at Auction from them. They were more than wonderful. Since I was out of town, I called BEFORE I bid and got permission to pick this uplater than usual. (I purchased a sculpture, not furniture). I called in advance to tell them I was picking up the piece, and it was waiting for me when I arrived. They gave me an area to wrap. I brought my own wrapping materials but since the piece was larger than I expected, they offered more wrapping if I ran short. Ellen was great at communicating and the sole gentleman there was super nice and super helpful. Renaldo? I will absolutely continue to check out their online auctions.

I've only had positive experiences with Sloans & Kenyon over the years. They are extremely knowledgeable.

I purchased a pair of tables at auction. I thought Plycon was picking them up. I was mistaken. S & K moved and without an email or any notice they resold the tables. I was late in picking them up, but was never informed in any way. I spoke with ELLEN. She was going check and call me back. She could not be bothered. Very unprofessional. Stay away.

Hooray! S&K finally located the missing pots five months after I won them at the August 2021 auction. They had reimbursed me so I paid for them again. I was happy that Jean-Carlo followed up and called me to see if I still wanted them. Happy ending, so I''ll revise the low rating. But I'm not sure if I feel confident with the auction house in terms of selling any of my treasures....

I am another senior citizen who consigned my valued possessions with this business. What an awful experience. Don't sell through them. Just don't. They will practically give your stuff away. And you won't get paid until you ask them what happened to the sale of your stuff? Where is the check? What price did you get? Very little accountability. Lots of folks talk about buyers' remorse. I am talking about sellers' remorse. I should have saved my complete set of sterling silverware for my grandchildren instead of the pittance I got through this seller. I felt cheated.

Sloans & Kenyon Auctioneers and AppraisersRead our review guidelinesI am a senior citizen moving from Rockville, Maryland to a home in Florida. I had many treasured items that my children did not wish to take. I could not keep them. I therefore asked a representative from Sloans & Kenyon to come and give me an opinion for auctioning the items or selling them in their consignment shop. I paid Sloan & Kenyon to transfer the items which included some pieces of furniture. I never heard from them again until after several phone calls requesting an accounting. They did finally send me a list which corresponded to the pictures of the items that were taken. It took many phone calls. After one call I was told that one table sold at auction but other items did not, and two items sold in the consignment shop. I made phone calls again and was given the promise that a check was in the mail for the items sold! That was in April. It is now nearing the end of June with no check, no accounting of total items sold to date, no phone calls, no emails and no one answering the phone! Is this a rip off of the elderly or a rip off of anyone foolish enough to engage this company? I am willing to take this further. I want to attempt to protect more seniors from being cheated. If anyone who was wronged by this company wishes to join me please communicate with me via yelp. This review is looking pretty epic! Nice!

I wish my mother had read the reviews before consigning items to this auction house. The bad experiences people described in consigning are all true. This company does not answer the phone and when they do they actually use the phrase "the check is in the mail" ( and guess what, it's not). I'll be updating this as I continue the process of trying to get the money promised for items sold.

I love that place! I almost always find what I need there at a very reasonable price: a coffee table, several paintings, cabinets, side tables, dishes, gifts.... I keep going back.

I LOVE this place! I usually go to Consignment upstairs. I go on a regular basis just to have a look. I have purchased some beautiful items, reasonably priced. They have everything from decorative to practical. Staff at Consignment are very helpful. I sometimes go to the auction previews, but those items tend to be out of my price range. Go upstairs and spend some time really looking. You might find something for yourself or a gift for someone else!

Great place to look for furniture and other home furnishings and decor. I saw several things that I would come back for, and ideas for wedding presents as well. Make sure you have enough time to spend wondering and exploring all of their rooms. Handy parking right out front, But be sure to feed the meter.
