“This is a grocery store. Here, you can purchase the things you may or may not need or are looking for in your life at this moment or in the future. There is an unusually large variety of sodas. The broccoli is also of good quality. Green and bunchy. Sometimes the fried fish is worth it, other times, there's more fry than fish. You can buy beer here for some reason that I haven't figured out. The employees are nice and wish me a nice day when I leave! Thank you!”

“I don't come here often but they tend to have decent prices and getting certain cuts the way you want, is excellent. I have called a few times for specific requests and the happily obliged.”

“I have lived in Dunkirk for over 30years and in the first week of October my husband passed away.Things have changed drastically and have been very difficult for me. Sheryl was my cashier and I had told her that my husband usually was the one that did our grocery shopping; but he wasn't with us anymore and I was feeling overwhelmed and out of my element. I shared with her that this was my 2nd time grocery shopping for myself. She was so kind and understanding of my situation. Sheryl even offered her condolences for my dear Samuel. Her kind smile and conversation brightened my day. Thank you. I will continue to shop with Harris Teeter. I see why my Samuel loved to shop here.”

“Great clean store, friendly staff. Today when I shopped, my grandson was with me and who I call the Matriach of the Dunkirk store actually remembered him when he was pushing the tot grocery cart and now he's 14 and 6'3". It was another great shopping trip. Thanks to all of the staff for all you do. See you soon ?”

“The staff at Dunkirk Safeway, including the management, cashiers, deli, meat/seafood department and pharmacy, is very friendly and willing to help customers. The store is neat and well-stocked. The manager is often seen out on the floor or in various departments assuring that shelves are well stocked and that things are running smoothly.”

“All of the regulars love Ms. PJ at the pharmacy, honestly. In line today someone was on the phone while checking out. The person on the phone call asked," is that ms pj working?" Then proceeded to chat with her too. She's always such a joy, so warm and welcoming. It's the reason I'm there over any other competition in the area. Somebody get that woman a raise, they don't make employees like her anymore!”

“Only reason there's not 5 is their self checkouts are buggy. The produce department here is where I go when I don't have the farm stand. All winter long it stays fresh and looks great. Smaller but good looking meat department as well.”

“What do you expect from a DG? Cluttered aisles? One employee on the floor? You got it. I'd say this rating is right on par so just manage your expectations and enjoy the dollar store.”

“I like Prince Frederick Giant, the best of the ones in Calvert County. The layout is easy to navigate and remember. They have most of what I am looking for in stock. They have a good selection of non dairy products.”

“I love the misspellings on the pumps. It reminds me that gas station attendants are people too. I misspelled a text once, and needless to say, it’s a lot less sexy when you tell someone that you love the smell of their “excrement” instead of shirt. Misspellings happen.”
