This is a decent thrift store and as it's really the only one in the area, if you like browsing thrift stores, it's worth stopping in every couple of months. Some of the pros: friendly employees, clean store and pretty well organized. And an above average book section with a ton of books, hardback and paperbacks, for $0.25 each. The antique/furniture section looks decent but I usually don't browse that section of the store. One con: the clothes don't really seem to be organized by size. This makes it harder to shop. At least this was the case in the men's clothes. I didn't browse the women's clothes.

I love hooks and hangers. For the most part, they give you a great thrifting experience. However, only downside in my opinion. I believe a lot of furniture pieces to be over priced. Not all. But a good bit.

After a tip from a nearby local I ended up here. I was in search for end tables and a few other items. Pulling in here I was a bit skeptical that the hot tip I got would actually span out. But, in the end, I was happily surprised. Walking in you are welcomed by a vast space filled to the brim with items to search through. This place could literally be a treasure hunt if you have the time to do so. Even though it was quite tempting, I was on a mission to find what I came here for. Making my way to the area where they had all their furniture was almost like walking into a different section here. I zig-zagged my way through the area and taking glimpses at items as I went. It was hard to figure out if the item you were looking at was a singular item or part of a matching set. It was also hard to tell if an item was for sale or if it was just a display item. It was also hard to tell if that item was sold already or not. After searching and searching, I decided on what I wanted. However, with my never being here before, and not knowing what to do, I had to search for an employee to figure this out. Now, you want to talk about a treasure hunt, this was a treasure hunt trying to find an employee. After my search was successful, I was able to figure out what to do to at least pay for the items. I paid and then needed to get those items into my vehicle. After some time and employee was able to get the end tables out of the area they were and up to the front. Once I had them in my vehicle I was able to head home. Once I got them home I did a healthy cleaning and polishing. Tightened a few screws and they were good as new. Actually gave me some great space to store and display. I wanted to touch on the employees here. If they are good at one thing, it is how to avoid the customers and/or displayed disdain in helping customers. There was no affect on the gentleman that helped me load the tables into my vehicle. And having to play hide and seek/tag with the employees was not super toddler fun like it used to be.

Always ENJOY shopping this thrift store in Charlotte Hall. Never know what neat items you will find. Reasonable prices but have noticed all the Goodwill and other thrift stores have raised their prices a bit. Store is always kept neat and organized when I am able to get there.

So not impressed today. And it wasn't at the items, it was at the employees. Got overcharged and caught it, then was told that it happens when they are closing out the receipt, except it was in the middle of the receipt and happened when I stepped away from the register to grab something else, then heard that it happens all the time. Wonder how many other people get over charged and don't even realize it because they don't get a receipt.

This store flat out refused to give me the half price on homewares/home décor that they advertised on the front door of their business. The very rude, rotund cashier, with a bulls ring through her nose, curtly said that Rustic is not half off. That is not what the signs states. The signs said that Wednesday, all homewares/home décor is 50% off period. No fine print or exclusions was on this sign regarding any exception to Rustic. This arrogant cashier needs to read her own signs and adhere to them before she gets this business in trouble for false advertising. This business is profit driven and only a small portion goes to charity. The prices for used donated items are ridiculous. They want $ 4.95 for worn out pants, what a bad joke. I can do much better at Vintage Values then this place and be treated with a lot more respect and fairness.
