Mail service was decent for a while then suddenly in 2024 I stopped getting my mail in box and would instead ROUTINELY get my neighbor's mail. All the time. Sometimes sprinkled in with mine but many times it was JUST my neighbor's mail. We live in townhouses, it's not hard to cross the lawn and put mail in a box. This is pure laziness. Now I will go days and day without getting any mail at all. I am wondering if it ends up in some neighbor's box and I will never see it. This is incredibly frustrating and concerning. No inquiries into the matter ever go addressed.

Can not get in contact with customer service. The automated system is like a scratch record. Then it disconnects the call after I answered the same question over and over . This is awful and they need to do better.

Zero would be my choice if possible. USPS please do something about this location. All but maybe 1 or 2 of the clerks are unnecessarily rude.. try to make you feel stupid for asking a simple question. Rude despite you being polite. Lines are almost always long. Please either add a self service kiosk so the general public doesn't have to deal with the rude clerks or close this location. I frequently visit USPS to drop off packages and other locations are not like this

Arrived when the doors opened and was last in line of early customers. Representative at the window refused to ship two of my package citing an issue with how I labeled them. Told her I’d shipped numerous packages this way without issue through this location, but she continued to refuse service. Then she told me I was holding up the line. I was the only person in the post office.
Took packages to Arbutus location and shared the situation and they shipped the packages without issue. They were appalled and say they have to deal with customers every day because the Catonsville employees are rude, insulting, and incompetent. Guess I’ll drive the extra distance from now on.

I know folks have had bad experiences with the USPS and have good reason to air complaints, but I rarely see a positive review. We recently were missing to pieces of important mail that should have been delivered 11 days ago per the Informed Delivery service notice (very good.) Yesterday I reported the details to the USPS via email and was emailed back that the search request was received and that we'd hear back in two or three days. Today, the next day, I received a call from our local Catonsville PO. Though the service person couldn't tell me where exactly our mail was other than to say it had been received downtown and may have fallen off of the scanner, she was very polite. Right after our call, a postal truck pulled up with both pieces of mail, not our normal delivery. Probably a coincidence, but we had a prompt, good interaction with a postal worker and we got our mail. Our mail carriers have always been great. In all the decades of receiving mail, we can count on one hand the number of times we've had delays that we've been aware of. Only twice has the mail looked chewed up by a machine, yet still delivered. With the amount of mail that is handles every day, with the current number of cuts and "reorganizations" that are happening that slows the mail rather than keeps it efficient, the people who work in the trenches of the PO are doing a fantastic, thankless job. The cost of mail is still reasonable and the PO services areas that the for profit corporations don't feel are profitable enough. If those same companies were to take over mail delivery, it will cost us twice or three times as much while paying workers less with the profits going to the executives. Thank you, Catonsville postal workers, and those everywhere in the system that keep our mail coming.

Don't bother going early. They only have one person at the counter and a very slow moving line. Although a second person came to the counter and we thought she would be opening, she disappeared. On top of that, they had a homeless man "hanging out" when you open the door asking for help. I won't criticize him for homelessness, but he obviously had mental illness and there's no telling what he would do if triggered. They (USPS) are grossly understaffed and constantly receive bad reviews and yet there's nothing done. Customer service and efficiency is long gone. This is a (poor) leadership issue.

I came here this morning for an updated passport photo and to ship off my application for renewal. Daisy was extremely helpful, patient and kind. She let me know my hair was out of place before my photo. She informed me of all the procedures and assisted me with mailing the renewal off. Thanks so much Daisy!

This is the absolute worest USPS location. 1st it is not accessible for the disabled...not sure how they get away with that. I asked once and the answer was "those who can not climb steps can wait outside for a good Samaritan or shout for help"
The staff is very grumpy and unprofessional.
Forget about getting them to answer.the phone...will never happen. They pick it up and hang up immediately so they don't have to take the call.
***The carrier who comes to my home is wonderful**** It is just the staff at the post office location that need to be replaced. Also I always speak to them with a joyful respect...so it is not them just giving as they get.

I wish staff in this location can be more nicer and use appropriate tone talking to you and not talk to you in a humiliating way in front of other customers. I won’t be returning to this location even if it’s the closest to me. So sad that people getting paid by the government using our own tax money will treat you like this.
