I visited this location on 4/8/24 ( eclipse day) waited at the speaker 10 minutes to place my order, finally I said hello and got a response, I had begun to speak my order and there and then there was dead silence and the lady came back on to take my order. I pulled up to the window payment was immediately taken then I noticed the entire staff leaving out the building from the back door and passing out glasses to see and watch the solar eclipse and left me waiting for my food. So I had to wait for there watch party was over to get some help and the food ( hot dog) was cold . Very terrible experience at this location, I will never return to the Capitol Heights MD location again.Never had this problem at Waldorf or Lexington Park location.

The speaker wasnt working correctly or the debit card reader. The speakers looked old and dirty. The food was hard kind of cold. I usually don't go to sonics and now i see why.

This is sad that this place continues to move in a downward spiral. I wish they could have more pride I the occupation they chose. Please I love it here but you make me angry every time I come. Do better please.

Ordered online waited more than 20 minutes for a drink. Not one speaker notice that they were running behind or that they recognized my order. People do better. Service is terrible. No one takes responsibility for their actions.

Lines are long a when you get a chance to order your printed to hold for about 10 minutes. Then when it’s time to pay. They keep saying “is your card locked “ why would the card be locked ? This the second time they asked me this idiotic question.

Once again they forgot my shake. On top of this the large popcorn chicken i ordered was 50% unedible burnt pieces of breading with no chicken inside, order was also cold upon arrival. Frustrating Encounter at Sonic Drive-In: Disregarded and Disrespected!Feb 17 2024 around 11pmMy recent experience at Sonic Drive-In left me feeling utterly disregarded and disrespected, as if my patronage was inconsequential. Driving a large SUV, I encountered difficulty navigating the tight turns of the drive-through lane, prompting me to opt for a direct approach to the window.As I pulled up behind a stationary car at the window, I patiently waited for acknowledgment or assistance for at least 10 minutes. Despite my presence being apparent, it seemed as though the individuals in the vehicle ahead were acquainted with the employees, as no one made an effort to attend to my needs.Feeling increasingly frustrated, I attempted to pull to the side to address the situation directly. However, my efforts were met with a deliberate act of indifference. As soon as I lowered my window to seek assistance from the restaurant staff, they promptly closed the drive-through window and proceeded to ignore my presence.What was most disheartening was witnessing the apparent lack of concern from the restaurant staff, who appeared to find amusement in my predicament. Their laughter and casual demeanor only compounded the sense of disrespect and disregard I experienced as I drove away from the establishment.It is deeply disappointing to encounter such blatant disregard for customer service and basic courtesy at a well-known fast-food chain like Sonic Drive-In. As a paying customer, I expected to be treated with respect and attentiveness, yet my experience left much to be desired. I sincerely hope that the management addresses these issues and takes proactive steps to ensure that all customers are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.

Went to this Sonic location in Capitol Heights around 11:20 PM. I asked for a chicken sandwich on a toasted bun and the chicken was solid cold and toast was hard as a rock. The onion rings were soggy and stale. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Will never go to this location ever!!!!

All I wanted was a soft serv ice cream cone. I couldn't go in. I couldn't do a walk up and get one. They wanted me to go through the drive thru or park and wait for a server. I LEFT.

They are obviously low staffed which happens sometimes and is understandable but it’s been like this for years now. The food is either too crispy or barely cooked and their frozen drinks are never available. Maybe it’s time to close down!

The food I ordered at this Sonic location was disgusting and inedible. For example, the sandwich that was handed to me w/o a bag did not look fresh & smelled bad. Although ordered plain, a wet area the length of the bun was raised as though something had been scraped off it. The tots were overcooked & had no innards. With the exception of a request for a copy of my receipt (which I immediately provided, along with a picture of the disgusting "food"), my online complaint and subsequent requests for a response have been ignored. Months have passed since my first and last visit to Sonic.
