Our whole local move experience with Hilldrup was fantastic! Maria was awesome and made the pre-move seamless and also followed up afterwards to make sure the move went well! Elmer's team of movers did a terrific job, were super professional and very nice! Overall an outstanding moving experience!!

Hilldrup Moving & Storage is terrible to work with. Mayflower quoted me $1,000 to pick up my furniture in Colorado, but then charged me $2,000 for the pickup without discussing it with me. Then, after having my furniture and weighing it, they coordinated with Hillsrup to move my things and quoted me an additional $4,000. Hilldrup lost track of my things during the move, and it took three months for my furniture to finally arrive when they told me it would take 1-2 weeks. Then after my things arrived, they charged my credit card an additional $3,700 without my knowledge or approval. Trying to charge me $10,000 based on a $5,000 quote where they had my furniture to weigh and size is ridiculous, Overall, Hilldrup and Mayflower have been terrible to deal with. They don’t operate in an honest or professional manner.

Worst movers. Do not waste your money on them. I’ve moved 6x and never had a problem until I used this company who was “highly” recommend by a family friend. They lost parts to my high value pieces that I can’t resell unless they are fixed in the exact same way. I’ve had no dining table for two weeks now. Have made little to no effort to fix anything even two weeks since my move. I have multiple pieces that are missing parts, like a circle light that is missing the circle part, so I have to now go out and buy again. The packers for example should have wrapped my sound bar with its cords but instead only wrapped my sound bar and I have no idea where the cords are so now have to buy more. Somehow they broke the base of one of my lamps that is valuable. And when I suggested to their delivery crew another way to get furniture that might not fit into my place, three of then men started yelling at me and I’m a small girl. So it was uncomfortable to say the least. They even misplaced screws that connect my TV’s to their base. They had a toy car track that they delivered incomplete so I have to get a new one of those for my kid as well. So much carnage. I can’t believe how awful they are and never write bad reviews but they’re just that terrible.

Have had a really poor experience with Hilldrup. My main issue was that they somehow forgot to pack my mattress in a box before shipping it cross country. Upon arrival it was dirty and stained and my complaints have fallen on deaf ears with management. They also charged me for the mattress box to add insult to injury… I’m waiting for a refund.

I would never use Hilldrup again. They came recommended to us by family (who have also since had a negative experience). Issues started from the beginning when they did not send enough packers to complete our pre-move packing. The individual was nice but there was too much work for her to complete in the allotted time. We were unable to get ahold of our move coordinator to resolve that day, and had to call the central dispatch line. The move out process was the best of the components, folks were nice, prompt and courteous. All of this pales in comparison to our move in. Our movers were late, rude and careless with our items. They claimed to not be able to fit the truck down the street, blamed our move coordinator who in turned blamed them. A 2hr move process that was supposed to start at 12pm took until 11:30pm at night and was meet with bribery, refusal to complete the job and utter rudeness. Protective materials were not used and many items ended up being damaged. The claims process was equally as horrible with the company covering a fraction of what the true costs of things were. To add insult to injury, several months later we received an additional invoice on top of the $7k+ we had already given them with no context, invoice or rationale. Several months later (now) in an effort to rid myself of this horrible company we have paid the invoice. I could go into far more details about all of the mishaps that occurred with this move, but I wont. Just know it was horrible. Moving is already stressful and this company made it significantly worse. I would never use Hilldrup again, and will urge anyone and everyone I know to stay away.

We hired Hilldrup for support of a Datacenter move in Ashburn, VA. The crew was on time and always helpful. The management was monitoring email and ensuring success until we were done at 5am.

Halifax County, VA used Hilldrup to relocate the County Courthouse. Hilldrup was an excellent company. The work was great, the workers were great to work with, and the Supervisor was professional and took great pride in the job. Highly recommend this company.

Hilldrup removed all our office furniture in a safe and effective manner. We went into the day expecting it to take several hours to have everything removed from the space and were able to complete this in under 3.
