This is a great location, but store shelves are either bare or items are picked over. Went yesterday at 6 pm. to grab some needed items. When I arrived at the entrance, not one and I mean not one shopping cart or hand basket was found. I ended up handcarrying as many items that would fit in my hands to the register. My hands were trying to hold steady two large bags of detergent, along with a jar of peanut butter and other items. Three people were ahead of me in line. I tried remaining calm, hoping my hands wouldn't drop the items. This was a long 15-minute wait.As I stood patiently, I watched carefully everyone entering the store and seeing the look of bewilderment on their faces, as they too didn't see any carts or baskets in view. When it was my turn to be seen by the cashier, I quietly asked her, "Where are the shopping carts?," she replied, " Oh, they're in the parking lot," and she pointed out to me where in the parking lot they could be found. I said, "You can't bring those carts inside?," and she said there was no one available to do so.Attention Management: Please have someone from your store periodically check the availability of shopping carts for customers entering your premises to use and, if necessary, retrieve them from the parking lot. This makes no sense. Shopping carts do not return to the store themselves. It takes a human being to bring them back. Anybody can do it. It is not beneath any employee to go out in the parking and bring those carts back.I was frustrated after leaving the store. The likelihood that I'll return to this particular location is not likely. Again, the location is fantastic, but the customer service isn't.Besides the lack of shopping carts on this particular day (which is usually not the case), the wait time in line is typically slow. Emphasize urgency with the cashiers. Customers don't have all day. Get them in and get them out. Again, get them in and get them out.This Big Lots is not a super big store. You can be hospitable and efficient with customers all at the same time. You don't have to choose one or the other. Thank you for hearing me out. I am not a whiner but an advocate for better customer service in predominantly Black communities. We can do better and should expect better. Thank you.

At this location it's always a problem with the cashiers. I couldn't find a shopping cart, I walked around the store looking for one, a nice young guy who worked there gave me the one he had.The store had stuff in their to eat with old dates. Also I purchase something with the wrong price on it was supposed to have been more but it was less. The cashier worker was like that's the wrong price I said said well you supposed to honor your price. She was like ok this time, she had a nerve to say to me someone put the wrong sticker on it, that's not the price, they she went and checked the others like I would be that d*** to do something like that. I said your workers put the wrong price.... I really felt some kind of way I said pull the tape . Smh I payed for my things and left out. I want be going back to that location I spend a lot money each time I go... but nomore..

WORST BIG LOTS. My sister, her co worker and I went to this big lots on 6-8-23 at 8:15 pm. We were treated like we were thieves. As soon as we walked in the store we were followed by associates. Not one but I counted at least four. One guy came to the aisle where we were and pretended to need air freshener. Then it was some dike broad I think she had dreads followed us down very aisle we were in. When it came time to check out, guess who rung us up, the guy who pretended to need air freshener. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a retail store. I understand people steal but every person the comes to the store doesn’t steal. I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN AND YOU SHOULDN’T EITHER!!!!!! They will treat you like a criminal. They all need to be fired for treating their customers like thieves.

They don't have big enough bags for your items. Small paper brown bags. I ended having to put a few things back. And carrying the paper bags two of the bags busted.
