I brought my dogs here for years. When they passed the team here was beyond kind. Forward 6 years and I am back in Cambridge with a 1yr old Corgi. Vet was almost an hour away and my pup got very sick over the night. They said come right over and got us in, and my little pup is on the mend. This is a team that truly cares. I am so grateful to be back with these folks!

My golden Lily had to come in for an emergency surgery. w=We were traveling through town and thankfully were referred to VCA by another vet in OC. I wish I come here immediately, Dr. was absolutely incredible and helped us out in a dramatic time of need. Our girl wouldn't be here without their help! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I spent 2 weeks trying to get my cat a diagnosis at other vets and finally found VCA. As soon as Dr. McConkey seen Mittens she knew something was very off with her. She spent her time and consulted with other vets to find what was wrong with Mittens. Come to find out she has FIP, we were given options for treatments. We received the medications and Dr. McConkey is amazing with the communication between us. I recommend Dr. McConkey to everyone!! I seriously don’t know what I would do without her or the practice. I’m truly so happy.

For two years I drove 4 hour round trips to see the team at Choptank for my bearded dragon. It was worth every hour. Dr. McConkey and the VCA Choptank team provided extraordinary care for my bearded dragon, who was suffering from end-term reproductive coelomitis. Multiple other vets incorrectly diagnosed her with MBD which likely led to her health deteriorating. I wish I had brought her here sooner.
Dr. McConkey went above and beyond, even consulting with experts in Australia, to ensure Drogon received the best possible treatment. Despite the severity of the condition, her dedication, compassion, and affordable care made a significant difference, easing my dragon's discomfort and health challenges.
Though my bearded dragon has since passed, I am deeply grateful for the kindness and professionalism shown by Dr. McConkey and the staff (shout out to Jenn!). They truly prioritize the well-being of my pet, and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking top-notch veterinary care for bearded dragons.
Dr. McConkey if you’re reading this thank you so much for everything you did for us. I know you really cared about Drogon. You gave me two more years than I expected with her and when she passed in the hide Simone and I built for her I knew everything played out the way it was meant to, she went on her own terms and in the comfort of her home. I am forever grateful and will always recommend you, an exemplar in your field, to anyone seeking care for their bearded dragons.

I have had nothing but good experiences so far. Everyone is so kind and helpful. They have an app with 24/7 assistance, when I used it at night to get some advice for my kitten who was not eating the Vet followed up the next day to see if everything was OK and offer advice. It was so reassuring. 10/10 I will recommend them to everyone.

Thoughtful, caring, and professional vets! We were vacationing near Cambridge and our dog injured himself. The vet, Katelin McConkey, DVM, was patient, kind, and gentle with our dog. She performed a very thorough exam and clearly explained the injury and treatment required. She also identified some issues to keep an eye on as our dog ages. Great pet care and reasonable rates. We wished they were close enough to home to be our regular pet care provider!

We absolutely LOVE Dr Mc.Conkey. Our babygirl was sick with a Uri. When I called they immediately saw her,gave her the medicine she needed to get better. The doctor called several times to check on her and make sure she was getting better. Amie loves going to the see them. The entire staff is wonderful. They truly love what they do. Thank you so much for taking care of our baby. I would recommend anyone to take their fur babies here. They treat them like their own.

Dr. McConkey and staff are amazing!!! Our dog had an emergency and when we called saying we needed to bring her in right away Dr. McConkey and staff waited past closing time for us to arrive. She saw us right away and took care of our dog’s emergency. This is our second dog that Dr. McConkey has treated for our family, we always receive the best care here and recommend her and staff for all your pets needs!!!!

I would like to thank the staff from the bottom of my heart for helping out with my situation when no other vet would. The staff especially Alexandria Morris and Dr. McConkey were extremely helpful and kind to me and my cat especially due to our financial situation. They not only care about the lively hood of the animals they see but obviously of the community they’re in as well. So once again thank you all very much!!! I highly recommend them.

I took my dog there for his ear. Explained my budget to them and they gave me a way to take care of my dog , but made it easy for me to pay. Great people.
