“The purchase and trade-ins went pretty quickly and smoothly. So an experience we were not looking forward to went really well. We had some other things going on in our lives when we started this process. The General Manager Brian Talbot saved our time by appraising the two trade-ins at our apartment. So that was already taken care of when we went to the dealer. Isaiah Anderson was our sales person who was very low pressure, patient, helpful, and was available for help after the sale. “I was recommend Southern Tire from a friend & went here last weekend to get my front 2 tires replaced & they were able to accommodate me very quickly. I came back this weekend to get an oil change, which again, were able to fit me in a lot quicker than any other place. I chose to come back because Dennis was extremely helpful, and had the best customer service. It was very busy in there on a Saturday, but they were all so kind, & ensured to fit in several people last minute. I will continue to give my business to Southern Tire. “Buying a used vehicle is always a bit unnerving (to me). This is the 2nd used vehicle I have purchased from a Fitzgerald Dealership. The first was a long time ago when I bought a vehicle for my then teenage daughter. That Sonata went over 200K trouble free miles. This time it was for me a retirement gift to myself.
The short version is I worked with Herb Hardy and the words I would use to describe the transaction are honesty, integrity and doing the right thing! Work with Herb, you will have a great transaction.
Now for the details. First I am a believer in when things aren't exactly perfect you find out who you are doing business with. This was the case here. Herb brought the 2017 Jeep Wrangler Willy's up from Lexington Park to Rockville for me to look at it. I took it to my mechanic. This wasn't a reflection on Fitzgerald, it is just a prudent thing to do when buying any used vehicle. He found the vehicle was in good shape but had 1 minor issue and one larger issue. Herb became my advocate for getting the right thing done and both issues were taken care of to my satisfaction. No hassle, no argument, no arm twisting.
In the past my experience has been once you buy a vehicle, the salesman disappears and couldn't care less about you. This was not the case with Herb. He checked in to see how things were going. When one of the issues re-appeared and I needed to to take it to a different dealer out of state where the Jeep is garaged Herb said "Please have their service manager call our service manager".
The Jeep was a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO). The 2nd dealership worked on the issue under warranty. Under the CPO program there is a $100 deductible. I reached out to Herb and let him know that since this was not a new problem I felt that Fitzgerald should cover that.
He emailed me back immediately and said he agreed and would take it up with his management. About an hour later, he said "Send us the invoice". This is the "Do the right thing" that is so important to me. We all make mistakes. What we do to make them right is what matters. That is how I did business and that is how I expect people I do business with to treat me.
Fitzgerald handled this exactly as they should have. They made it right. I always chuckled when I would see Jack Fitzgerald on TV talking about "The Fitz Way". I don't chuckle anymore. Treat your customers right, hire good people (like Herb and the management team at Lex Park) and your customers will sing your praises.
I am having a blast with my new Jeep. If the issues had not been handled well, It certainly would have been a buzz kill.
So in short, do business with Fitzgerald, do business with Herb and I am confident you will have the same experience I did.

“The glass was cracked in my garage door. No help from the garage maker or anyone else. Called Tri County Glass and they were really nice over the phone, took my measurements down there and they had my replacement glass cut in 5 minutes at a very resealable price. “HIGHLY recommend Halseys Automotive. I'm visiting my brother in town with my two kids and was having a grinding sound with my breaks. I needed to get my vehicle looked at right away bc I had to leave the next day to drive to DC. I stopped made an appointment with two places, Halseys and another mechanic not too far from Halseys. I saw the other guy first who didn't even look at anything and told me I would need new breaks both front and back. He also pointed out a nail in my tire and said I would need to get a new tire. I told him I would get back to him and went to Halseys. They took my car back and took of the wheels to actually see what was going on. Turns out I still had about half the life left on my break pads! And the grinding sound was just some rust on the rotor's from moisture (had driven through a bad snow storm to get to my brothers house and then the car set and didn't drive for several days). So not only did they actually take the time to look at what was really going on, they noticed the nail in the tire and took it upon themselves to go ahead and remove the nail and repair my tire for me. They were personable, HONEST and very professional. Went above and beyond in my book! I'm a hard sell to give someone 5 stars - but Halseys earned it hands down!! I would feel comfortable sending anyone I know and love to them and know they would be in good hands.”
