Love this shop. Always taking great care of customers! Recently had my 5.7hemi replaced. Truck runs so much better and smoother. Best mechanics and customer service by miles. My entire family has been going here for over 20+ years for a reason.

My van died on the side of the road on a Wednesday and my usual place was booked up, so I tried Cheseldine. They said they’d be able to get to it by Friday, so I had it towed in. They diagnosed the issue that same day and my van was ready by 9:30 on Thursday morning. So pleased. ?

Use to go here all the time, always get the number one. Last time the door jams were not done and today I got tire shine on the passenger side and none on the drivers side. I should have walked around. I will not be leaving tips on top of the number one anymore.

Excellent service, diagnosed and fixed within a day. Great at updating you on the status of the vehicle. My go to for the SOMD area.

I needed them to look at a slow leak in two of my tires that was under warranty. They used every excuse possible to not do the work. I made several trips there and wasted hours of my time. Wayne at the front desk spoke to me in a condescending and annoyed tone the entire time. I ended up taking it to the dealership who fixed it immediately. I recommend going elsewhere.

We have taken so many vehicles here, 4 for md state inspections, several oil changes, and several larger maintenance or repair trips. I wish I had stopped coming back after the first or second negative experience, but I kept coming back and every time I, and my wallet, have regretted it. The men at the desk are rude, they make promises and don't follow through (we were told they would be willing to write a report on a recently purchased vehicle attesting to shotty work done by the seller's mechanic, but they never did and flat out refused to when pressed). They submitted an estimate to insurance for approval, and when the actual price turned out lower than they estimated, they insisted we pay the (higher) estimated price. I'm convinced they 'found' problems during the state inspection simply because they could charge us whatever since we needed to pass to register the vehicles. Anyway, I could go on. We're finally done, never coming back, and I suggest you do the same and find someone else.Update to add: looking at other reviews, all their replies to negative reviews are excuses and place the blame back on the customer. So I wasn't surprised the reply was the same for mine. That being said, just be aware that if you come to this shop, it will always be your fault if something goes wrong with your maintenance or service experience.

I work for Door Dash and I accepted a delivery today to be picked up at Advanced Auto Parts in California Maryland to be delivered to Cheseldine Tire & Auto also in California Maryland. I introduced myself as Martin the DD driver with parts. The gentleman that I gave the parts to took them and walked away. So I asked the gentleman to come back because he had to sign for his delivery. He said he don’t sign on nobody phone and good luck finding someone who will. So he told me to forge his name and I advised him that if I did that I could lose my job. So he actually insisted that I forge his name and said lose your job. He was completely unpleasant from the time I walked in. He was rude and got loud at times. Then he actually called Advance and told them I refused to give him the parts when he already had the parts in his possession . I’m pretty sure he don’t treat ups and fed ex like that when he has to sign.

No problems with the actual maintenance performed on my vehicle, but had an issue with their technician damaging windshield tint. Called up to see if we could agree on them fixing damage they directly caused and was met with a belligerent response.Detailed description is that I had an old oil service sticker on an aftermarket tint strip that I had left on because I knew it would likely damage the tint. Cheseldine technician decided to remove the old sticker without asking me about it and ripped a big hole in the tint. Never contacted me before risking the damage and didn't disclose the damage on pick up. As a matter of fact, he had placed a new sticker over the damage to disguise it.Fine, stuff happens and they could have made it right. I explained the sequence of events to the manager and he was downright dismissive and rude telling me that because it wasn't "malicious" there was no responsibility for the business to repair the damage. After I finally got him to stop interrupting me long enough to explain my position, he still insisted that his shop bore no responsibility despite the fact that it arrived undamaged and was returned to my custody with ruined tint. He insisted his technician "had to" remove the old sticker to do his job, sorry J-O-B as he snidely put it. Sorry, but no that's not part of the required maintenance and if you know it's likely to cause damage but still think you have to do it, you contact the customer first. It's a courtesy sticker and he could have left it, asked me if I cared, or owned up when it went wrong. None of those things happened. The stubborn refusal to accept responsibility for direct consequences of their own actions and the resulting rude handling of the interaction should be known to future customers in case they might also be mistreated in a similar manner. It's too bad, as there were many other good things about this shop, but not enough to make it worthwhile to have my property or myself treated like that.

Cheseldine has been the only place my family and I have taken our vehicles for years. They are very accommodating, treat you as they would family, and are very knowledgeable. Gary, Wayne, and all other employees are very personable and easy to deal with. When they realize something is outside of their scope of work (which is rare), they tell you that instead of wasting your time and money. They do their best to fit you in as soon as possible, and I’m very impressed with how quickly service/repairs are completed. Prices are also very reasonable. 10/10 recommend.

New to the state and Gary and Wayne at the California location were so welcoming! This shop was able to get me in within a day, complete a state inspection, oil change, and two other services within 6 hours. Great, professional, & friendly service. Highly recommended & will be using them in the future.
