“I have been a client at Mainstay Veterinary Practice since Dr. Hitt opened the doors about 14 years ago. We are a multi dog household and when you have a lot of dogs that usually means a a significant number of vet visits to keep them healthy and provide them with the best life possible particularly as they age. From minor issues to major health crises, I have always received great advice and multiple treatment choices that are carefully explained to me. I never feel forced into a particular option. It's as though we're a team and are going to come up with the best plan together. And that method has saved many of my dogs' life and made those golden years far better for many of them. The entire staff at Mainstay is focused on excellent care, kindness and compassion. There really aren't any downsides to this clinic. They outshine many an advanced care/emergency treatment practice. It's always about what is best for my dogs and me.”
“This is an excellent vet clinic! I can’t recommend them enough. They have taken good care of our puppy and the staff is all excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable and they always remember our pup and her quirks. They got her in same day when she had an ear infection. They were also super helpful when she was having some pain/discomfort after her spay and gave her a different medication which is working well for her. Overall, very responsive and helpful clinic. We look forward to continuing to take our pup here.”

Our cat, who hates travel, loves her and put up with inoculations and nail clipping with minimal protest. The staff was also nice and we were taken in on time. “We take our dog and cat to this vet and have always had positive experiences! The vets are friendly and explain things thoroughly when needed. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The vet techs seem to really care about the animals. Overall, they are also upfront about pricing and costs.
Our dog fights really hard when it's time for shots or a nail trim, but the staff here is patient and helpful when he is being a wild man. Special shout out to Mimi who was so kind and thoughtful when helping give our dog his shots and care. She definitely helped keep him as calm as possible to minimize stress.”
“They're amazing, they are a smaller clinic but if it hadn't been for them taking my cats X-rays her lungs could've filled with more fluids before we ended up getting them drained at apex ? she ended up having cancer but these doctors will forever be the ones who saved my cat with their advice and care. (I have 12 pets as well so their benefits for customer loyalty is such a big help)”

“I've been bringing my two (now three) Rhodesian Ridgebacks here for several years. Our first visit was pretty dramatic - one of my pups went headfirst through a sliding glass door, and we came into the waiting room near closing time with a large bloody dog with a lot of lacerations.
Dr. Jason Scott provided excellent care for our pup, and has been our go to vet for the past 5+ years for all three of our dogs (as well as the many Ridgebacks I foster). His advice is solid, pragmatic, and compassionate. Highly recommended.”
“To be honest, this was the best experience my family has had with a veterinarian practice. (Of course my pup had a great experience too which says a lot!). From the scheduling process, to the appointment itself and follow-up, everything has been great. We came from a different practice, Woodley Gardens made the transition so easy with obtaining all of my dogs prior records from multiple practices which made everything so much easier. My dog has inflammatory bowel disease and is under very specific care and a special diet because of this. Dr. Lowenthal has already been an amazing help with continuing care for my dog's disease and also helping us maintain communication with our dog's internist. I highly recommend this practice!”

“Switched to CAC North from another vet in Fairfax and I wish we had started here from the start! I have two Italian greyhounds and have done an international health certificate here, and also been in for: routine vaccinations, anxiety medication management, parasite deworming, and GI issues. Luxor and Pharoah love to see Caitlin (tech) and DVM McCrory, but when we needed to get in asap for my newly adopted iggy who wasn’t holding down food, Julia (tech) and DVM Gottlieb were incredible! When I was struggling to get my adopted iggy’s previous vet records, the staff were able to get them on file for me. Prescriptions here are so easy to fill in office or on Chewy, and their online booking system is awesome. Italian greyhounds are weird, anxious little guys and the staff is always willing to bend over backwards to make them comfy. We are going to start seeing their vet behaviorist for some help with our reactive new little guy, and we know we will be in the best care! Receipts and post-visit instructions are always emailed and we usually always get phone calls after visits to see any add-on care is needed. This place is incredible!!”

“Falls Road Veterinary Hospital is EXTRAORDINARY! I do not live in Maryland. I spent several months in the area, and my elderly Shitzu needed vaccinations. They knew I lived in AZ and would not be a regular customer. Dr. Forbes was concerned about the size of my dog's nipples. I had asked my LA vet and my vet in Seattle about why they were enlarged. Dr. Forbes did not dismiss this condition. Dr. Forbes, who knew she probably wouldn't see my dog again, said this wasn't normal, and she wasn't satisfied not knowing what was happening. She wanted to research what this could be, and then she emailed me with three possible reasons. I am impressed. She truly cared about my dog. The front office team is pleasant, professional, and welcoming. I strongly recommend Falls Road Vet. I would give Dr. Forbes 10 stars if I could.”
“We have been going to see Dr. Texeira for about seven years now for our pack of pups. One of the best vets in the area by far. One of our rescue dogs is extremely reactive due to the abuse she suffered in her early life.

“I highly recommend Dr. Armour and her team. Our dog Chiky only has one eye so we want to keep it in good shape! :) While treating a very stubborn corneal ulcer that took months to heal, Dr. Armour and her staff were never discouraged. They were always patient with our questions, very kind to Chiky, willing to try different options, and super responsive between appointments. With Dr. Armour’s steadfast help, Chiky’s ulcer finally healed and he’s doing great. Thank you Dr. Armour and team!”
