All around great place to bring the family for "socially-distanced" fun.

It's a great area for walking/hiking especially if you have kids. The only problem is the small parking at the Cabin John Local Park. Even if it's 37F temperature - the parking is crowded (Cabin John Regional Park is way better).

This is one of the best-kept secret hiking spots in the DC area. The trails are maintained exceptionally well and it's quite scenic, particularly in the fall or early spring before the leaves block out some views of the stream. Unlike nearby hikes along the Potomac, there are rarely more than a few people on these trails at any given time.

Moderate hiking place level with a gorgeous river to walk along. This is a great place for pups to run around and explore. Many of the owners with dogs here walk their dogs off a leash, and the dogs love somewhat of a challenging terrain for them. There are plenty of hills, stairs, water bridges you have to cross over, and a few fallen trees. I had taken the blue trailblaze path.

Two playgrounds one at the community center and one hidden and not visible from the road. Both are great. There's also Cabin John trail access that goes at least 6 miles.
