Separate Hair Braiding did an awesome job on my childs hair. My child wanted two strand twists for prom. Getting an appointment was easy. They were ready on time, and we love the results. Thank you Sefa for the great work.

This is a warning for parents who are considering taking their children to this hair braiding place. My daughters got their hair braided there today and it cost us a total of $380. Although the cornrows in the front were bigger than the picture I showed them. I did like the knotless braids in the back. However, my daughters cried and begged not to go back because the braids were too tight. It is not a place for children if you want to keep their hair healthy. Therefore, I advise you to be careful when taking your children there. On the plus side, the location offers plenty of parking and they do accept walk-ins. My daughter also said the ladies were talking about "why a mother would drop off a child that's tender headed". She is 8 years old may God bless these African women getting frustrated with a child to the point where you braid her hair so tight we had to take it out. Beware ADOS family be careful.

I called Sefa Hair Braiding to see if they were open on Easter & take walk-ins, which was already a plus. As soon as I walked in they washed ($20) me (great washer!) & then I waited in the chair no longer than 20 mins & then someone started to natural two strand twist ($80) me (great braider!) I got there around 9:45am & left around 12:30pm. That’s great timing for a walk in. Everyone was pleasant, understanding & focused. When I’m in the Columbia area — I’ll come back. THANK YOU! ☺️

I get my hair done in box braids every couple months and I love it here. The process is always fast and I come out looking beautiful every time.

I have been here 3 or 4 times since it’s opening. I only go here when I am in dire need and can not find anyone else to do my hair. I’ve only had 1 time where I felt my hair was done the way I asked. It is always a what I asked for vs what I got situation. See example below. Size totally different length totally off. They will quote you price price price like 100 times (based on the picture you show) but to do the hair the way you asked they can not. I truly do not recommend for anything more than goddess cornrows. In my opinion that is the highest level style they can do correctly. I also feel very few braiders there actually enjoy braiding hair.

I made an appointment on Friday to come in Saturday to get my hair braided. I arrived at 740 for my 730am appointment and was seated right away. My hair got started at 745 with one person braiding and the other finishing the braid. I was done by 11:15am. Unbelievable how fast they move..everyone was pleasant and very friendly and Sefa greeted and thanked me for coming.Every stylist that walked in smiled and said good morning to everyone, they are true professinals here. I love Sefa Hair Braiding and can always count on them for very quick and efficient service. They are always available and truly pleasant people. Thank you ladies!

Couldn’t wait to give her five stars! My hair short as ever and they still got my cornrows looking great. I’ve been getting nothing but compliments all day. They even recommended me a shampoo to help with my dandruff. I have no complaints and I’ll be back soon. Great environment and very relaxing.

I have decided never to come back to this braiding salon. The size of the hair never matches what I asked for. All they do is keep telling you the price over and over again. Like YES that is the size I want. If that is the price that is fine. Then when it's done it's not the size you asked for. I have been here a few times when I didn't plan and have to do hair last minute. And I can only think of 1 time I was happy with my hair. I wouldn't recommend. Find another place to go.

Came in to get a weave done here for the first time. I'm a regular customer but they never have someone to do weaves and now I know why. Prior to arriving I was told that the price is $150 via text. Great I brought cash. When sitting in the seat I was told the price is now $160 because I brought my own closure which I've clearly indicated in the messages to the shop prior to arriving. Made the stylist aware of this prior to getting my hair done. But oh well. I got my hair done and the stylists asked me where I got my hair from and I informed them I'm a hair vendor. They immediately swarmed and gave me the usual "give me a discount we can give you so much business". Mind you I'm paying full price. I have them my contact information and had one try to talk me down off the price of a wig. Mind you again I'm paying full price and did not attempt to negotiate anything because this is a business and I respect other business owners. I informed them I don't haggle. Still pushed for lower prices. My weave was messed up. My closure wasn't secured in the back two of my tracks were slipping and they didn't even use actual weaving thread. They used sewing thread in my hair. The weave came out horribly but they were worried about my prices instead of how my hair came out. Will not return.

I went to Sefa's hair braiding location in Woodlawn today! I had a great experience and loved how my hair came out. Went in at 7am and the ladies starting working on my hair shortly after. The ladies who worked on my hair were very efficient and kind. Also, my interactions with Vicky on getting a scheduled appointment and figuring out the cost for my desired style were very pleasant. She was very patient with me. I WILL BE COMING BACK AGAIN!!!Service: Box Braids
