I'm the first time owner of a beautiful white and black Tabby. I went in and bought everything I thought I would need, a lot of which was too small and returning wasn't a problem, even after he chewed the first harnes. I'm there every weekend

Omg I have to really thank Skylar Mansfield for the how much she helped me as I was looking for a good toy for my dog Petey. She made sure to explain every single one for me and made sure that my whole experience was wonderful while also being super friendly

If you can, please go to a different Petco location. Their single cans of cat food were extremely limited and most shelves were just empty. At checkout there was only one cashier ringing items out, Sarah. I waited in line for over ten minutes while she had a conversation about tattoos with the guests before me. They had already finished their shopping and they were just standing around talking with no urgency at all that her line was quickly growing. When it was finally my turn she didn’t even acknowledge how long I had been waiting, whatever, but then she asked me for my phone number for rewards and as I started trying to remember what phone number I was going to use, she said “phone number?!?” again like she was rushing me.
Like I waited for you to finish a whole pointless conversation but you can’t wait literally 30 seconds for me to give you my phone number? Such a bad taste in my mouth. Please do better Petco!

My chocolate lab was in need of a shampoo and nail trim. The groomer, Jada, greeted me with such grace and a hardy smile. My dog, Archie, gravitated to her. I saw how comfortable he was with her.
She took great care of my fur baby. His coat was shiny and clean. His nails were trimmed. He was a happy dog, and so was I.
I would highly recommend Petco for your pets needs. I would also recommend Jada in grooming. She was very caring, affectionate, and provided my dog with lots of love and attention. I'm looking forward to his next appointment. Kudos to Jada!!!!

I was extremely disappointed by the rude service that I received from the manager at this location Friday night. My pet had just undergone major surgery and I needed an item to aid in her home care. I ordered the item and mistakenly bought it from a different Petco location. That was my mistake. When I got to the store- I found the item and went up with my code to be checked out. I told the cashier that I was worried that they would close soon and that my pet needed that item after surgery. The cashier could not find my order and called the manager. She very rudely told her employee that I could not take the item because there was no proof that I had paid. The employee tried to explain that I had a number proving my payment. The manager hung up on her and walked up to the front. Her demeanor was angry and unhelpful- as if I had interrupted her with my purchase. I handed her my phone and after a minute she smirked and told me that my purchase was from another location. Clearly upset - I asked if the order could be switched and she responded we have no way to do that and walked away from me, dismissing my problem. By the time I got to the correct location- that store had closed and I did not have the item I needed.
If I had not been so upset from the traumatic day- I would have thought to just cancel my purchase and buy the item that I had in hand. If the manager had wanted to help me at all- she could have offered that option. She would have made a sale and gained me as a customer for helping me at a very stressful time. Instead- she was rude, patronizing, and unkind- not only to me, but to her employee as well.
This is a pet store. There are living animals who will be loved by people who purchase them. Surely someone who manages such a place needs to approach their responsibilities with a caring attitude. I don’t know why she acted the way she did- but I will NEVER take the chance of being treated so poorly again. I will NEVER go back to this location. Sad.

Petco in general is quite terrible in regards to their grooming services. I’ve never been to a petco who has done a great job.
Regardless, I took my pet to the rockville location and they put a “refer out” statement on his account due to a chronic medical issue. Just to be clear, they called the vet and the vet cleared him to get a groom. His chronic medical issue is in no way related to the grooming.
Then I call the Burtonsville location to switch there and the groomer who answered the phone, Jessica, said she could not get him
Scheduled because there is a “refer out” on the account. She said I have to call the rockville location (and they are not answering their phones). So then I ask to the speak to the manager because she also cannot help per Jessica. The manager, Dana, is on a corporate call and requests that I call back the next day to speak to her.
Who are these people and who do they think they are? They provide no customer service whatsoever. Jessica said “I don’t know” so many times I actually believe she does not know how to do her job. Dana is clearly unable to even to get on a call. This is just laziness.
Save your time and money. Don’t go to Petco.

Small location so some time stock is out but it’s getting better. Customer service is hard to beat compared to other petcos in the area. Super fast for curbside always willing to right a wrong.
