“I called the WHITE PLAINS — Post Office™4660 CRAIN HWY, WHITE PLAINS, MD to locate a package I sent hold for pickup that my customer could not pickup. The person answering the phone was extremely polite cheery and helpful. She had the package and I notified my customer.”
“This review is for passport services only. I visited the Lorton post office to apply for a passport. I arrived on time for my appointment, but the photo equipment was broken (which happens), so I had to go somewhere nearby to get my photos. That did not otherwise result in any delay in my application review and the solution was easy, so I didn't deduct any stars for that. It might be a problem for those trying to apply for a passport during walk-in hours, so I'd recommend coming with photos in hand just in case.
The postal worker was professional and patient and took great care to make sure the application and supporting documents were all present and correct. The worker clearly had had a lot of experience with the passport process and knew what to do to make sure the application made it through the State Department smoothly. I wouldn't hesitate to go to this location for passport assistance again.”

The ability to multitask efficiently and effectively to cut down the wait time is phenomenal. I always bypass Fort Belvoir post office to come to this location. Because I know my needs will be taken care of. What an amazing reflection of their postmaster! Most be some updated training, or skills they self possess. WE LOVE IT!! Don’t lose that team! “I only use prepaid postage (PirateShip is your friend), so ever since they installed the self service kiosk (which happened a few months ago), I've had zero issues with this location.My issue before the kiosk was that there was/is almost always a line, but now my stops here are fast and have not had any issues. I scan my packages at the kiosk and then drop them off at the end of the counter. I'm in and out within a minute or two max.Fyi, the self service kiosk is to the left as you enter the post office.”

“In months/years past, the reviews listed below represent all customers that had no choice but to use Kingstowne PO - including myself. The staff were rude, angry, and treated customers as if we were interrupting their job, when WE ARE THEIR JOB. This was consistent and not just a singular event.But, I'd like to point out that in the past several months, there is a new Postal Team at the Kingstowne Post Office, and they are kind, courteous, and good natured in their assistance. This is a HUGE IMPROVEMENT from the staffing last year and years prior. Please continue to hire folks like them! I actually walk out each time relaxed and smiling. Love the Kingstowne PO team!!”

“Looking at the reviews, it seems like the only reason anyone comments is out of frustration. And I understand their frustration because i've been coming to this post office for thirteen years now. However, I would say that in the last 8 to 9 months. The culture here has shifted greatly towards customer service and satisfaction. The employees they have now really do seem to care. And they treat us with dignity and respect. I feel much more like a customer than just work that walked in.Shout out to the leadership of the La Plata Post Office.”

“I made my passport appointment here and it was super fast, it didn't take more than 10 minutes for my appointment. I did have to wait a bit for my turn but no more than another 5 or 6 minutes. It's a small place, all old fashioned but functional if you go at least for your passport's appointment.”
