“I called the WHITE PLAINS — Post Office™4660 CRAIN HWY, WHITE PLAINS, MD to locate a package I sent hold for pickup that my customer could not pickup. The person answering the phone was extremely polite cheery and helpful. She had the package and I notified my customer.”

“This review is for passport services only. I visited the Lorton post office to apply for a passport. I arrived on time for my appointment, but the photo equipment was broken (which happens), so I had to go somewhere nearby to get my photos. That did not otherwise result in any delay in my application review and the solution was easy, so I didn't deduct any stars for that. It might be a problem for those trying to apply for a passport during walk-in hours, so I'd recommend coming with photos in hand just in case.
The postal worker was professional and patient and took great care to make sure the application and supporting documents were all present and correct. The worker clearly had had a lot of experience with the passport process and knew what to do to make sure the application made it through the State Department smoothly. I wouldn't hesitate to go to this location for passport assistance again.”
“Al of them were very polite and worked fast. The problem is that they don't have enough personnel attending the big lines. The person processing the passport was very diligent. The post office clerk was very fast and polite to everyone despite the big line demanding different services.”

“Went to the Pomfret Post Office after work today to mail a package to a friend. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very quick service, in and out in 3 minutes, no line. Excellent!”
“Excellent to so so service in this post office - depending on who is working. After going to this post office since 2023 I can say overall the service is mostly excellent. A few times it was disconcerting to see how dismissive, unprofessional , and cold the service was especially when it took a long time for someone to finally assist me when there were no lines, ringing the bell, and no one in the post office. I took one star off for the times that happened.”
“I visited the Kingstowne post office yesterday, and I was overjoyed. The entire building was decorated for Christmas, which was a very surprising and delightful sigh after years of not being able to even acknowledge it.
My sales associate, Mr. Truong, has always been amazing. He has a sarcastic sense of humor I appreciate, and always try to educate you what did you do wrong ? and, that I can say whatever funny I want without him even batting an eye.
For the lady who had to deal with a rude customer, I am very sorry. I am also sorry for everyone who is lashing out at you. Remember that you never know what another human is going through, so it's important to be kind.
I did experience some negativity at this location before, but everything has improved lately, which is a great sign that things can change for the better.

Yesterday, my daughter and I went to the Ft Washington Post Office for passport renewal services. Victor was so professional, kind, efficient, and knew exactly what he was doing.
The Department of State sent us a letter that her passport renewal application was received, but we completed the incorrect form and provided us with the correct form and instructions for next steps.
Victor greeted us warmly. We had our part completed and Victor immediately knew what to do. What a breath of fresh air. I believe we were in and out within 7 minutes. I told Victor that he was a God-send. I was sharing this experience with a friend and she also commented that she has been serviced by Victor multiple times and the experience has always been phenomenal

“Looking at the reviews, it seems like the only reason anyone comments is out of frustration. And I understand their frustration because i've been coming to this post office for thirteen years now. However, I would say that in the last 8 to 9 months. The culture here has shifted greatly towards customer service and satisfaction. The employees they have now really do seem to care. And they treat us with dignity and respect. I feel much more like a customer than just work that walked in.Shout out to the leadership of the La Plata Post Office.”
