I should've read the reviews on this location. They are super lazy, not knowledgeable, and unfriendly. I was told that I could not get my medicine because the insurance had not updated their system to reflect me answering the tretinoin questions on ipledge. The pharmacist never offered to call aetna, just said he couldn't release the medicine. I now have to start the process all over again to get the prescription. Definitely will not be back. Im gonna try Target.

We started using this pharmacy several years ago. At that point they were really good, prescriptions were filled quickly and customer service was excellent. I don't know what happened but they have gone down hill drastically. Yesterday, Friday, 2/16 my husband's doctor called in a prescription at 11 am. This was medication that was prescribed after his 1st post-op appointment and the doctor wanted him to start it immediately. At 2 pm no messge from Walgreens, so my husband calls and accesses the automated voice system. The phone bot says, "We are working on it and it will be ready on Monday, 2/19. What - 3 days! We thought it must not be in stock, so we need to find a pharmacy that has it and transfer the prescription. My husband calls Walgreens and is on hold for 2 hours and is then hung up on. I went down to Walgreens, and stood in the pharmacy line for 15 minutes. When it was my turn, the clerk tells me they have the medication in stock snd will fill it in 30 minutes. When I ask why the phone bot said 3 days she tells me, "We are busy". At that point I got out of line, went to the front counter and asked to speak with the manager. The manager apologized and said, "We have many new employees". She did get the medication to me in 5 minutes. This is a medication that is already made up, all that needed to be done was to put the label on the bottle. Why this would take 3 days I have no idea. 3 days now seens to the standard time it takes them to fill a prescription as this happened to me last month with a refill. At the time I had a weeks supply of medication left so I didn't mind waiting. This medication was needed that day, as are many medications. I won't be a customer any longer as Walgreens is jeopardizing people's health.

I don’t know which Walgreens is worse this one, or the one in Odenton. I would give no stars they are that bad. Worse, Walgreens headquarters do not respond to complaints.. The pharmacy is run by a bunch of clowns with no accountability, Once ,I attempted to refill a prescription they said it was not in stock. The next day a different pharmacist I’ve never seen before checked in the vault the whole time.!!!This pharmacy needs to be shut down because it’s a danger for the health are rights of our health in our community. They need to be shut down.. The Walgreens Pharmacy in Bowie and Odenton both hire people with no accountability or training and experience in working with a pharmacy, or a pharmacist.Who are the managers of the pharmacies . I’ve also been told one more than once “I’m Sorry We Are Understaffed”. And the were a few interesting occasions when there was a “Mistake Made”. I have have the evidence.I’m writing the CEO about this I’ve contacted and submitted a complaint and further investigation on the matter to the Maryland Board of Health. Ive submitted a complaint with bI’ve also contacted an atty. Who told me I have a good case and possible class action suit .Please save yourself the trouble and go to a private pharmacy for professional care. Oh ,and their phone app is sketchy and not always accurate. Headquarters will be hearing from my attny very soon.☺️

Pharmacy doesn't respect appointment times, treats everything first come first serve. 45 minutes after my appointment time they were finally ready to do the vaccine.

The people that are on the side of pictures and general store are not knowledgeable, they leave you waiting and go to the other register to get other people out. They need more cashiers as well.They don’t even have your pictures ready after hours of being told that they had already processed them. It’s just a mess. And the counter was dirty. I don’t know over the side of the pharmacy. It could be better, but I haven’t been there yet.

I know pharmacy's get a lot of negative feedback but Walgreens has been consistent on service, timeliness on Rxs and being well-stocked. I changed from CVS after being with them for over 20+ years because they inventory was always lacking and their customer service declined. I'm hopeful Walgreens will continue their commitment to service. If they tell me it will take a particular timeframe to fill a Rx, it is always ready as promised. Just make sure your Rx are completely filled out (including DOB & address) before placing the request. I'm

I don't know how they got the reviews reset, but this location has terrible service. They don't keep you updated on the status of your refill requests. When you arrive, after receiving notice that the prescription is ready, they aren't actually available because it's out of stock and they wanted to clear up some questions that could have been managed by phone. Today, I called to check and see why my prescription refill disappeared from their website. I was hung up twice after 15 minutes of being on hold. If I could have done this refill at a different pharmacy, I would have leapt at the chance. If you need your prescription, don't get it filled at this location.

This store Pharmacy is the worst. Their clerks are playing around with coworkers while trying to assist customers on the phone with important details about precriptions and insurance information. I have never experienced the total lack of customer service from this store. It is my opinion that if this type of service continues, they won't have a Pharmacy. I suggest that they rid themselves of the junior high school girls that think it is a movie theater.

They lost my business because of really lame customer service, if you want to call it that.... I used to love shopping at Bowie Walgreens, but now it's just a waste of my time the last few times I've gone, I've been leaving w/out anything the last 4 times I've attempted to shop there. When I walked in Walgreens in Bowie there were people in line, I shopped around for a few minutes, grabbed a couple of things I needed and got in line, the line hadn't moved at all, there was an employee sitting in a chair telling another employee what to do and another employee also not taking initiative to ring the customers up and get them out of the store. The customers were just standing there while the employees bickered and left customers w/items in their hand at checkout ready to purchase, it's really not that difficult to prioritize ringing up customers ready to purchase, waiting. after waiting for over two minutes of watching this and nothing happening, customers in line just standing there, same customers in line standing there when I entered, I put my items down on the counter and left w/out purchasing. And this isn't the first time it's been so bad that I've left w/out items in my hand ready to purchase. Sorry to say this Walgreens has become like this.

Excellent staff. Both technician and pharmacist were great. Went for first Shingles shot. Process took time with filling out forms and such so bock out an hour. Pharmacist was very nice and professional. He knows how to administrator a vaccine. I highly recommend this place.

Usually competent but not today. Called in my order 36 hrs in advance. When I arrived at the scheduled pick up time, they said they were unable to fill it as meds wouldn’t arrive until 2 pm. I came back at 5:30 pm and it wasn’t filled. Tech stated there was no orders outstanding on file.

Don't sleep on this Walgreens!!! I've started frequenting this location for the last 2-3 years or so and no matter what, the customer service of these employees have been far and few. I've done FedEx, needed help with the picture kiosk, and just needed general help and they are always willing to assist band very knowledgeable. Thank you!

Brought in a prescription , told it would be a half hour wait. It's now an hour and a half and they are still preparing the medication. GET YOUR MEDS ELSEWHERE. and then to top it off they tried to overcharge me for additional items despite the fact that the lower price was on the screen. They can forget about me bring their customer oh and when I dared to ask why such a delay, their excuse was the other pharmacist didn't show up for work and they were backed up. My thought...... as a common courtesy would have been to tell me there was an additional wait.
