Horrible wait time for drive up 45 minutes and counting. Not worth it, so much for convenience.

My favorite neighborhood target. Excellent customer service. Support of black owned products and clothing brands makes inclusive shopping choices.

The Lanham, MD store is very convenient and not far from where I live. It’s a very nice store and always has the items I need:

I purchased a 'New' Nintendo Switch Pro controller, and had to pick it up in the 'secure' lock up area.
I got home and opened the box and there were 6 packs of playing cards. Either someone returned something after making the switch, and then Target sold it back to me as 'New'... or someone working there found a new side gig.
Either way, after a long debate I decided to return it to the store... and of course after standing in line and explaining the situation the rep and their Manager treated me like you'd expect - as someone who was trying to return 6 packs of playing cards (which is why i debated taking my time and energy to make a return in the first place).
After a lot of back and forth the Manager (or whoever they brought in) said I'd need to come back tomorrow. My time is worth way more than $60 let alone my dignity, so this was a $60 lesson that taught me to avoid Target like the plague going forward.
I called the Corporate number shortly after leaving the store but that's been the last I've heard of it. Lesson learned, and sharing my experience to make sure others do their diligence to open up their packages even if behind security measures... because this place clearly isn't.

Having a bad experience at this store right now. I bought a laptop here about a month ago, the HP laptop was supposed to come with one year Microsoft window but unfortunately when I tried to use the Microsoft, it's asking me to pay before I can use it. I brought it to the store, I had to wait 30 minutes before I can talk to the manager as the lady who attended to me said they do do exchange any more, and their return for electronic is now within 14 days. Anyways, after like 30 minutes, the manager gave me HP contact number to call... I'll keep you updated

I enjoy using the Drive Up service at the Lanham Target because they are very efficient at shopping and communicating any concerns with my order. One of the Drive Up associates, Chinemerem, always displays a friendly, helpful attitude. This week he took the time to tell me of other services Drive Up offers such as returns, Starbucks products, etc. I really appreciate Chinemerem’s excellent customer service skills. My husband and I look forward to seeing him on our next Drive Up visit!

The Target Store in Lanham, Maryland always seems to have long lines. The self checkouts were closed and around 9:00am on the day that I was shopping there was only one cashier with at least 30 people in line. A gentleman approached customer service to ask if they would open up more lines and the person just walked away. I had to call the store while standing in line and asked to speak to the store manager. I was told that the store manager wouldn't be there that day.The person I talked to was very nice and she assured me that they would open up more lines, which eventually did happen. I don't think it should take a customer having to call the store to get lines opened up when a supervisor or manager should have been observing the flow of guests and make sure that there were enough cashiers open. Also, I don't agree with not having the ample amount of self check outs registers open during certain times. I read that this was going to happen in order to cut down on theft, but to be honest if a person wants to steal it's going to happen regardless. Target.....you have to do better in neighborhoods that cater to middle to upper class Black/Brown people in addition to other minorities. I have never experienced this when shopping in surrounding areas that cater to a different demographic. I want to be able to shop in my local area and have the same experiences.
