Try not to get to much, prices are on the higher end but still reasonable. Most of the meals are good, especially when just cooked. Produce is ok and fruits are usually good.

6/13/24 Pharmacy is 5* excellent. Many good visits recently but they seemed to have a chronic lack of staff (only 3?) tonight? Check out software also needs updating. 90 minutes to checkout. Staff member stayed on to help with line.

This is the 6th time we've ordered bread and ice cream/other frozen products via the online services and have had issues. The frozen items are no longer frozen when we pick them up due to what i assume is from the way they are stored. Additionally, my bread items keep getting thrown into the bottom of the bag and smached or folded in half (for uncute loafs). This leaves most of these types of products unusable. Unfortunately, ive even tried picking up the frozen items immediately after the order was complete with the same results. I will not be using this service anymore for these types of items.

Be careful getting crab legs. Crab legs were 15.98 for 2 pounds. The guy weighed my 2 pounds of crab legs at 4.33 pounds. I had to go get a refund. Make sure you weigh them

I spoke directly to the manager of the store and asked him how often do they change the grease that they fry the chicken with. He said every three days which explains the old burnt chicken I smell when you walk in the store on the end near the deli. Disgusting. Be careful eating that stuff.

I've had two back-to-back problems with the delivery part of the online shopping experience with Safeway and while the company is aware they have a problem, they're unwilling to fix it. Cost cutting at Safeway has led to more self-serve checkouts, no one at the service desk, and a phone that rings without pick up. I've used Safeway mostly because they offer discounts on certain items but the hassle of shopping at Safeway has exceeded the benefits. I'd rather pay a premium if my experience is great...so I go to find a better shopping experience.

They do not have sufficient cashiers working to serve customers. Sometimes self-check will not work conveniently.

Even with a nice remodel, this Safeway just cannot get customer service right. The folks in the self checkout area always look like you're bothering them, the hand carts aren't conveniently located, but the ONE plus is the pharmacy. Love the pharmacy but the store itself not so much. It's Giant for me moving forward.
