When I didn’t know any better I felt this was a place for me. Now that I found a salon that truly cares for your hair and wants to give you the best value for your money I feel as if I was taken advantage of. Petals is extremely over price for no reason. Please do you research before you make an appointment. Happy I found a new place to get my hair done.

I do not recommend Petal's Hair Salon to anyone. My consultation with Carol (Owner) was very nice, and we had a great discussion. She shared the price for the services. I set my appointment; had to pay money to set an appointment which I am not accustomed to doing but okay no problem. I budgeted per the consultation. The day before my appointment, I called to confirm plans were still in place; she acted like she forgot about the appointment and asked if I could arrive an hour later because she wanted to mail some packages. No, I structured my day and picking my daughter accordingly. She kept saying I tell all my customers to allow a 5 hour window. Yes and that is what I did according to the time we agreed upon. So she kept the time as is. On the day of my appointment, when I arrived, she immediately started talking about the fee, and it was much higher than what we discussed. I kept asking what exactly am I paying for; okay so what are your prices because now I am confused? What changed? She kept saying I start at 300-350 for a weave. Hence I was not getting a sew-in weave; it was a lace front; took her 15 minutes to sew it on. She asked me to help her take out my braids; she requested I leave the braids in so that she could see how the other stylist braided my hair. I helped her take out the braids or should I say I basically removed all the braids. I asked about the shampoo products she planned to use because all products do not agree with me. She would not give me an answer and then said whatever I have open on the shelf. I will not open a new bottle. I never asked to open a new bottle. I simply wanted to know the products she would use which as a customer I had the right to know. So I had some of my own products and I asked her to use those. She washed my hair as if she really did not want to wash my hair and forget about massaging my scalp. Then I had a small tube of oil for my scalp which I wanted placed on my scalp in between the braids-quick and easy. She said NO you can do that yourself. WOW! I felt very uncomfortable, unwelcomed and did not have the impression this was someone who really tried to work with her customers nor took pride in her work. She was great at telling me what she would not do, the price of a weave which I was not getting, changed the price quoted on the day of the consultation vs day of my appointment, and then when I asked okay so what am I paying for because she was charging $350 for a lace front. I NEVER received an answer. A Lace front (wig) is very different than getting a full sewn-in weave. How are the prices the same? Well we learn from our experiences. I like to post positive responses but I just have to be honest this time. Not good at all.

I have been getting my hair done for over 2 years now. the hair is very good quality and last me at least 6 months. Also, she takes good care of my natural hair with conditioner, exfoliation treatments and protien treatments. I highly recommend Petals.
