PARENTS PLEASE READ!
While it would be unfair to hold Lowes accountable for this incident, I feel it needs to be shared so other parents are aware.
I was in this store with my two small children around Halloween time. At the time, my son was 2 and my daughter was a few months old.
We were looking at Halloween decorations in Lowes (the big inflatable ones that people put in their front lawns). A man wearing a bathrobe, slippers and a Grinch mask that concealed his face was also walking around. Weird, I thought, but I ignored it. The man came up behind us and grabbed my 2 year old son. My son began screaming while the man lifted him up and started walking away! My husband yelled at the guy and grabbed our son back while I stood there holding my infant in complete disbelief that this was happening. We held the kids and tried to calm down and the Grinch mask man started either video taping us or taking photos of us on his smart phone. At this point I was able to see behind his mask and get a clearer view of his face.
We made the Lowe's manager and police aware and the manager of Lowe's was very helpful and actually recalled the guy and said there were other issues with him and they have the incident on security video.
This is NOT LOWES' FAULT and a reminder to all perents- it CAN HAPPEN TO YOU. it can happen to anyone, anywhere at any time! Please be vigilant

Buying lots of mulch couldn’t be easier! You can prepay for mulch at the checkout and then just pull into the “loading area” that they called “the pit.” They’ll handle all the heavy lifting for you directly into your trunk!

It's a massive hardware store, so you kind of know what to expect. I've gotten wood, paint, tools, appliances, and plants here without a problem. And even with my returns, I haven't had any issues.

Such a convenient store when I have outdoor gardening or DIY weekend projects to tackle. I always check ahead for deals either in fliers or through their website.

I went there today to get blinds for my basement sliding glass door. I pushed the help button and realized it was broken. So I finally found someone to help me. She said she would send someone over to help with cutting them, no one ever showed. I then had to go and find another sales associate who couldn’t help me either. This store is a total mess. You don’t get the help you need and end up just wasting time. We ended up leaving and making our purchases at Home Depot.

I spent over two hours picking out wood for my deck project and all the staff who helped me were patient with my requests. Brittany and her team gladly moved two separate stacks of deck boards down from the above storage racks. Even though I was selective about which boards I wanted, none of the staff made me feel funny about taking my time. Brittany was especially helpful and even took care of moving the boards back after I had rummaged through them.

Lowes was a nice place to shop in the past. now they don't have cashiers to help you anymore... they switched to all self-service registers, and most are credit only unless you go to the commercial checkout. It's disappointing to see this.

If anyone in a Lowe's Leadership or Management position reads this, I ask that floor staff receive training on "how to delivery excellent customer services." The staff's poor quality of service delivery at the Bowie location is the reason why I now shop at Ace Hardware in Crofton, Maryland.
