Extremely disappointed in this Macy's in Bowie tonight. The place is a damn mess. Clothes all over the floor, lots not folded and employees just standing around...no, actually leaning all around on the glass displays or sitting on display tables. The fitting room in intimates is closed, permanently, I was told and I could take my bra over to another fitting room two departments away. Come on man. WTH, Macy? You trying to get this store closed too? Won't be surprised if it does. Is there any management??

This Macy's has your usual items but the selection of items here needs A LOT of work, you're better off going to another Macy's to find what you need. They need to do better here and put in items people would ACTUALLY buy when it comes to clothes.

Now any retail store can be let's just say interesting-you go to Macys in VA and the stores are just different -more selection and the list goes on and on -Macys in a "urban" area well you know they do us different-yup I said it ---But here's why the stars ---It's all for the STAFF...yes .....the pick up desk for packages team, the perfume and cosmetics team, the shoe team and my absolute fav ...the Last Stop Shop team . Many regulars go to this store for package pickup so we're not taken by the porch pirates and I often run into some of the same faces it's funny how we recognize each other ..,we need to form a shoppers club and probably need an intervention lol --but back to the point -I noticed the pick up desk staff recognizing some of the frequent customers greeting them by name -chatting being funny and caring in particular to our elders ---Community, caring, customer service all in one ---so 5 stars for the Macys staff that know me by face and name when I pick up my sale price shoes and my $11 Karen Fleece tops -I appreciate you :) Macys should hopefully one day read this and give y'all a bonus .....holla at me when the holiday moose popcorn goes on clearance also ...smile

My review is solely of my last experience in this Macy's. It is only a 5 star review because of Ghazala, a cashier in the men's department. I wanted to buy a pair of shoes in the shoe department and the associate there, while friendly, just told me they didn't have my size in stock and gave me other stores to go to. Bare minimum. I walked past the men's department to leave the store and myself and my mother decided to ask Ghazala if it was possible to hold shoes at another store before going and she went above and beyond for me. She ordered the shoes for me from her register to be shipped directly to my home instead of just telling me to try a different store and found a discount for me! Shoes wasn't even her department and she was more help than associate who helped me in the shoe department. Ghazala was extremely professional, friendly, respectful, knowledgeable and a great asset to the store. She made my day! Also gave her a good review to corporate. Awesome experience!!!

The customer service is NON existing! The employees display a bad attitude and disgust when approached. They seem bothered to be doing their job they're getting paid to do. Such a shame no choice but to avoid this store! This is not the fist bad experience, I just kept going back for convenience but no more. This is unacceptable at every level. I tried to speak with the manager except they never answered my voicemail.

Came to the store and a young women was on the computer I said excuse me the you have new balance made in America they about 185.00 you must need the number look at me like I was from another planet and continue with the computer. That the reason why I don't shop at Bowie town center

My mom and I have matching necklaces I purchased years ago from another retailer. My chain broke and I purchased a new chain from Macy's about 1 year ago with the 3-year warranty. The warranty is great. However, the service in the store leaves much to be desired. I waited at the jewelry counter for 12 minutes without a glance or a hello. There were 2 associates behind the counter and 1 customer they were already assisting. I just really would have appreciated a 'hello' or even acknowledgement that I may have to wait a while. I was there to pick up, so it shouldn't have taken and didn't once I finally was helped. The bad part is I walked past several associates and no one said anything on my way in or out. It wasn't until an employee heard me on the phone complaining about the bad service to a friend that she even asked if there was anything I needed assistance with. She then promptly pointed me to another employee.

I've been there 3 times to return items that I purchased online...the customer service ladies at the cosmetics counter, have been nothing but welcoming, friendly and professional! Bravo!!

Made an online purchase to pick up at the Bowie Town Center location. Purchase is suppose to be ready for pickup within 2 hours so I figured I could pick it up on my way home from work. My charge card is authorized immediately. 5 hours later I call for an update (3 attempts to talk to somebody that will actually listen to my issue)and I'm told that online orders are behind but the order will be filled. 7 hours after placing my order I get a notification that the item is no longer available. That means the item wasn't pulled in a timely fashion and it sold out before my order was filled. Very disappointed with this location and Macy's customer service... not to mention I now have to go out on Christmas Eve and try to find this item.

This location of Macy's had a great selection of items on sale for Black Friday. 20, 40, 50, 75% off items. I was just in town for the holiday, and didn't have enough space in my luggage, so I didn't get as many items as I wanted to. Lots of great clothes with good quality, except for the sweaters improperly hanged, with the hanger poking straight through the sleeves. There were several instances of this all through out. Asides from that, it's still a decent store with fabulous clothes.

Aggressive cashier who would NOT take no for an answer when I didn't want to sign up for their new program. I was told I should "give more". Wow. Now I am home and have tried for 30 minutes to get through to a manager. Either they hang up or I am on hold.. now...for 14 minutes and counting.

Fine Jewelry sales associates are very rude. My husband and I have been standing here for over 20 minutes. No one has said anything to us, but there are three people working over here. I even asked someone for help and what I needed help with, only for her to send me exactly where I stood for 20 minutes just so she can come back and ask "do you need help?".. umm obviously! Sad but it's not actually surprising that this is how they treat customers like this. A lack of professionalism and class is the only reason. Won't be coming to this Macy's again. I'd say management should have a discussion with Jodi and Latanya in fine jewelry about proper and high quality customer service.
