Review: United Bank, Bowie, Maryland ?I recently had an unfortunate experience with Ms Taylor, a customer service representative at United Bank in Bowie, Maryland. I must say, her behavior was extremely disappointing and unacceptable.During my visit, I needed assistance with an withdraw, and despite providing her with all the necessary verification (driver's license) , Ms Taylor insisted that she couldn't verify my identity. She also used my negative balance in my business account as an excuse to deny me access to funds in my personal account.What bothered me the most was her insensitive comment about the number of addresses I had. In these challenging times, where many people have experienced housing instability due to the pandemic, it is disheartening to encounter such judgment and insensitivity.Thankfully, my experience with Miss Hall at the New Bern Bank was pleasant and helpful, verifying my identity without any issues. This only highlights the inconsistency in customer service at United Bank.Due to this unpleasant encounter with Taylor, I have decided to close all my accounts with United Bank. Essex Bank on Highbridge Rd in Bowie has an AWESOME staff who are reliable and helpful. The bank and it's employees hold a high standard for customer service and have been helpful in supporting my family's efforts with savings and investments.

Most professional, family friendly Bank I have ever experienced. I Went to go open my kids a savings account and was explained every step of the process and even how to set up online banking. The entire process took less than 1 hour. They were very knowledgeable about their products and gave excellent customer service, I will definitely be back and be sure to tell others.

I went in recently to inquire about opening up a bank account, and the staff there was superb. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted and helped within seconds. Trionna Ramsey is very professional and deserves recognition for her excellent customer service. She explained all my different options thoroughly and helped me make the best decision on which kind of account to open up.
