CVS/pharmacy #1451 6920 Laurel Bowie Rd, Bowie, MD frequently provides incorrect quantities of medications. This is dangerous and negligible. My son was hit by a car; he was just provided with 30 cyclobenzaprine (FLEXERIL) via Doctor's Hospital Emergency Room PA Claudette Hockenberry, along with 20 600mg Ibuprofen (correct qty) and 15 HYDROcodone-acetaminophen (correct qty). When I opened the package of cyclobezaprine pills, there were only 12 in the bottle. I now have to go to this store and explain that they shorted my son a large 18 pills of a medication that can be abused. NO ONE should be put in this position. In addition, several times in the past, this same pharmacy has given me incorrect quantities of medications. I have been shorted in the past, a controlled substance, but only by a quantity of 2. I called the pharmacy and let them know that had made a mistake. I did not attempt to obtain the 2 shorted pills. Following this occasion, I was given an antibiotic that was a 7 day treatment at 14 total pills; however, upon opening the bottle, I identified that this same pharmacy had provided me with in fact 24 total antibiotic pills. This pharmacy has made three mistakes between my son and myself, which means they have made mistakes with many other trusting patients as well. Store was clean and pretty well staffed and stocked Coupon machine worked which is rare in most stores in my area. Love the self check out availability.

I had the nicest checkout cashier who patiently checked for coupon on my card which I didn’t have. Accessing it by phone number wasn’t easy as more than one card is linked to that number.

Absolutely horrible. The customer both in the store and the pharmacy leads so much to be desired. I have been trying to call the pharmacy for more than 24 hours and have been getting a message that the pharmacy is busy and to leave a message. I called the store thinking I would get through that way and was on hold for more than 10 minutes. Really? So physically went to the pharmacy and was just lied to to my face by Sebrina the pharmacy manager and one if the techs. I asked what’s going on with their phone system they said nothing, if I called I should get through. So I called right there and what do you know the message to leave a voicemail came on. With egg on her face Sebrina says “oh if you press option 2 like you’re a doctor you will definitely get through. What? So I have to pretend to be a doctor to speak with the pharmacist?? How absurd. Then she finally says “oh we’re testing a new system” “others have complained”. Okay so now you’re aware of the phone issue I initially about when you said no one else complained they couldn’t get through. Integrity or good customer service doesn’t exist here. This also goes for the store manager (tall woman) who is more concerned with her inventory or whatever she’s doing than helping customers. Literally she looked at me bothered when the self checkout line was way long and I asked if she could ring me up. When I expressed dismay, she reluctantly rang me up but not before she had to tell me that they want everyone to use self checkout. Just wow…

They usually are much better than what I experienced today. However, the new staff is more interested in doing everything else other than doing the job she was hired to do.

I have been going to this CVS for many years. Avoid going during peak times of the day. Extremely friendly and helpful.

This is the worse CVS pharmacy I have ever dealt with. Just got my mother out of hospital. Gave them 4 days. Tried to call was on hold for half an hour. Then they hung up at 8:00 because they closed. Dr even tried calling them and to no avail. They know we are stuck. Because our insurance only lets us go there! Horrible service. They do not answer the phone either! So angry. I wouldn’t even give them 1 star but that’s the only way to get to write a review. No stars!

I hate having memory loss from my brain injury & ADHD the manager was very mean to me instead of helping she ignores me every time I'm thier and mean I see this are other reviews about her as well I have mental health issues and could use the guidance if I'm asking for it my pharmacy is thier so I have to go thier

The sale clerk was outstanding, knowledgeable, very helpful. In this days in time are really unheard of in establishments. Ms. Irani Gunawan stand to be commended for her outstanding comment to CVS! Thank you ma'am! The Bowie branch definitely has Gem!

Poor customer service. Pharmacy closed for lunch and not posted anywhere. And staff uses gaslight customer service practices by telling you that there is signage and there is none. SHAME.

This was probably the worst CVS experience I’ve ever had.The pharmacist and all her workers are clearly racist. They refused to work with me or help me figure out why my daughters insurance wasn’t in their system. The first woman I interacted with took her very first look at me and the disgusting look on her face told me I did something wrong before I even spoke to her. Once we did exchange words, which I was nothing but respectful, she wasn’t even listening to what I was saying, only responded with what she needed to say in order for me to leave.It was rude, disrespectful, and unnecessary. I would definitely get your prescriptions filled elsewhere.

The emergency vet down the street called in a prescription to this CVS. Within minutes of it being called in, it was filled. We arrived at almost pharmacy closing time to pick it up, but the staff didn't show it. They allowed us to pick it up and be on our way in less than 5 minutes. They were professional and quick.
