Beautiful and peaceful. Ate my lunch here and stared at the water. Boat dock close by but the area is quiet. Clean and well kept. Not sure if it was my timing but not very crowded either.

We paddle kayaks out of BWP about 100 times per year. The staff are wonderful people. The park is beautiful. There is lots of parking, but in the DC area there can still be parking issues during peak use. The Anacostia River and Anacostia River bike trail are the big draw to the park, but the pavilions see big crowds and there are festivals often. BWP is a fun place to visit.Restrooms: There are restrooms when the park is open.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome on leash!

Great place to start your bike ride along the anacostia river trail. Decent amount of parking with decent bathrooms and a huge covered seating area.

This is a beautiful spot. I went there for the annual Caribbean Heritage Festival. The parking was handled successfully by the PG Parks & Rec. The only thing is the dangerous/busy road that leads to the park.

This is a great park. There is something for everyone. There's a playground, benches, plenty of grass to spread out a blanket, canoes, fishing & a bike/walking trail. They also have 4th of July fireworks in the summer.

It was only drive of less than 30 minutes for me but it wasn’t worth it. I went because of a local newspaper column about a birdwatcher that often went there. There are many other places close in to DC that are far mor scenic.

They really fixed the park up. Enjoy stopping here to eat some food from the nearby Checkers or Mcdonalds. The sun can be brutal in the summer but they have an awning station with benches. Also, you apparently can rent kayaks and there is a nice river trail. Only been on the trail once or twice.
