We purchased our first Volvo last weekend. We worked with David Engel. Working with him was a great experience. He answered all our questions and purchasing process was super easy. Will definitely recommend him to our friends.

I had the opportunity to purchase a Volvo out of state from Volvo of Bethesda. Being out of state can make a purchase uncomfortable. I worked with David Engel, and he was a true professional. He took the time to send a detailed video of the vehicle, reviewed the cars history with me, and answered multiple questions that I had. He made sure that the car was prepped and ready when I arrived from the airport, and ensured that the entire process was efficient and smooth. Additionally, great team work was demonstrated between David, his excellent sales partner Jose, and finance manager Ahmed to ensure I was taken care of throughout the process. This should be the team work model for all dealerships. I would definitely purchase another vehicle from Volvo of Bethesda, and would insist that David Engel and Jose were my sales professionals.

I cannot believe why these folks have such a low rating. I can't say anything about the others, but my experience with Ourisman Volvo team was just stellar.This is the second time I made a purchase from Ourisman group and both the times, my experiences were amazing. My first Ourisman purchase was from their Lexus dealership in Rockville back in 2016, and the sales team I dealt with there was as good as the sales team here at Ourisman Volvo.I was looking to lease an EV (2023 Volvo C40) for the first time. Not only this was my first time with EV, this was my first time with leasing as well. All of my previous vehicle transactions were for purchase, so I had no clue what the leasing process could be. I was initially talking to Ourisman's competitor in Rockville, and after having less than pleasing experience with them, I reached out to Ourisman. I did see Ourisman's ratings here on Yelp, so I was a bit skeptical, but their GM Eddie Bethancourt was hands down one of the most helpful and customer focused person. He did no waste any time responding to my questions, and typically responded to my emails within an hour. Major plus point in my books.After we agreed upon the numbers, I told him that I can come by the dealership to make the lease final, but I told him that I might not be able to make it till later in the afternoon, because I needed my brother to drop me off at the dealership. Eddie offered to send me a courtesy pickup. Now, I dont live like a block or two from Bethesda, I live in Germantown, about 15 miles from the dealership, may be a little more. So I was surprised that Eddie was willing to send someone over to pick me up. Another plus point. When I got at the dealership, Eddie assigned a Sales person, Cecelia Beall, to help me see the car and test drive it to make sure everything was to my liking. Cecelia was such a sweetheart and a great navigator. Unlike the test drive at the Ourisman's competitors, Cecelia made sure that I thoroughly test drive and check out the car. There was no rush, no urgency on her end in ending the test drive. Another point!Once we came back from the test drive, Cecelia took all of my information needed for processing the lease paperwork, and got me with the finance person. I am so sorry for not remembering the name of the finance person, but she was another great person to work with. She did not try to push any extra on me as add-ons. She did explain the extras and then let me decide if I wanted them or not. Made me signed anything that needed to be signed and got me on my way no later than needed.After the paperwork was done, Eddie assigned me another sales person, who went over every function of the vehicle in detail. It was my first EV, but not my first car, so I knew how to operate the basics, but still it was a major plus that they actually cared to take their time to let me get acquainted with the new vehicle, rather than just take my money, hand me the keys, and point in the direction "there is your car, good bye."All in all, I am very happy that I decided to look around a bit more, rather than taking my lease from Ourisman's competitors. Perhaps, the other folks had bad experiences with the service department, or, perhaps between the last negative feedback Ourisman's management stepped in to make things right. If later, thats another plus point for Ourisman, since it means that they actually care about people's feedbacks and reviews.Thank you so much for making my first lease transaction so painless and trouble free. Thank you to Sam, Eddie, and Ahmed for a wonderful purchase experience. Sam made sure to explain all of the features before I left. Thanks to Eddy for the wonderful deal, and Ahmed for seamless experience signing paperwork.Would recommend Volvo of Bethesda for anyone looking for a new Volvo.

I can't believe that I bought a luxury car and have the worse experience I've had owning a car.I've had Toyota, Honda, Mazda and Kia and NEVER had this experience.The service department is terrible. I've brought my car at least 4 times for a specific problem, have it "fixed" and then find out that it was not fixed. They DONT HAVE LOANERS so if you need your car for work DO NOT BUY HERE. I even coordinated having my car serviced and the problem fixed with my vacations so that I could have my car back and be able to use it for work and guess what? IT WAS NOT READY!! After a week. So I had to use a Lyft to go to work (I work nights)I STRONGLY recommend you to get a Mercedes or a BMW or some other luxury car, if that is what you are looking for, but not a Volvo in the DC-Bethesda area.

It was nice working with Sam and his managers entire buying process. I really appreciate general manager taking time on his day off (Sunday) to give me a call.. that was cool! If my tags are transfer correctly and the equity check is issue promptly, I would definitely say this was a perfect car buying experience.. still pending... I thank the entire team for a pleasant experience while I was at the dealership. Thank you and I love my VW.

While in the area for a wedding I stopped by the dealership to simply take a look at a new XC90. I was greeted by Kathy Johnson. I quickly explained that I was not from the area and was only killing time and doing a bit of research. Kathy took the time to show us the vehicle, thoughtfully answer questions, and even gave us a ride back to our hotel. While I’ll never be in a position to buy from Kathy or this dealership, the time she spent greatly reinforced my favorable view of the Volvo brand. I hope Volvo and Ourisman value Kathy’s efforts. She’s a great representative of your firms.

The experience was great from check in right thru other support services. The staff that checked me in is always a great service person and very kind and politeThe only issue l had was the cleaning of the car was not done though it was stated on the invoice. Had grease on 2 rims. This is the second time my vehicle has been sent and no cleaning done after servicing despite indicating same.

Kathy was and is an excellent salesperson throughout the process. I needed that expertise given that I hadn't purchased a car since 2001! She walked me through every step, and answered every question. I am so happy that Kathy was available when I walked in the Volvo doors for a test drive! Thanks Kathy and thanks Volvo!

The service reps do not listen to your car issues carefully. I got a new battery from VW, took it home next day battery dead. I brought in via jumping my battery but kept dying on the way. They look at my car and charge up the battery then call and say your battery is good you can pick up car. I tell them I know my battery is good as it is brand new but it keeps losing charge. Oh they say glad you told us that. Then they say $2400! for a new alternator but made it clear that may not be the issue. (For those of you with a similar battery drain it’s usually due to some part of the engine not going to sleep and thus a simple motor or short in worse can drain the battery and fast). Ugh I didn’t even get repair done their as I couldn’t trust anything they were doing. I will never buy a VW of any kind again in my life. Goodbye

The experience of buying a car a Volvo Cars of Bethesda was as smooth as a buying a car can be. I received excellent service from David the sales advisor. He understood what I wanted and worked with me to find the perfect car. He took care of everything on his end to help speed up the process. Managers and rest of team was wonderful…eager to work with me. Would definitely recommend!

Service was exceptional. The entire staff was incredibly attentive from beginning to end. The valet who picked up my car was very communicative about when he would be arriving. Once my car was there Daniel called and told me exactly what to expect timing and cost wise to ensure I was comfortable with the plan at hand. Once my car was returned washed and waxed I received another call to make sure I had no other needs.Will 100 percent be returning to this team.

I bought a beautiful car from these folks on-line. Their posted information was good, they documented the c perfectly. After we came to a fair price they delivered the car to me in VT within 2 days! Excellent dealership excellent people.

Seamless scheduling, check-in and service. I opted to wait there because I brought work with me. If this were an airport the waiting area would be more like terminal seating than first-class lounge, but totally workable and clean. There’s a separate playroom with toys for kids which wasn’t used while I was there but a very nice touch.While checking in I saw their valet service driver call a client to make sure she was ready for him to pick her up and reconfirm all of the location and pickup instructions. Very professional.The car service was estimated at 2 hours and I was actually there closer to 3-1/2 but they threw in a car wash (which was very thorough, more like a good detailing) and walked me through the work, unlike other area Volvo service centers I’ve been to. I requested new wiper blades and they replaced with a really quality product, unlike other area Volvo service centers I’ve been to. And they took care of all the warranty paperwork without any hassle so all I had to do was pay for the wipers, unlike other area Volvo service centers I’ve been to.Overall, I would say Bethesda Volvo service has gained a long term customer. I will probably use their pickup service or just drop it off next time. I’ll definitely be back for my next tune up.
