Order furniture here if you want to wait for it for more than six months.Terrible service. We waited for the furniture for more than 2 months, then they brought us the wrong thing. They took the wrong parts and disappeared again. No messages, zero information. And it's been more than 2 months. Our couch is still missing.

I spent an absolutely embarrassing number of days couch shopping until I walked into Urban Country and met Seaton. He is the most helpful, knowledgeable and thoughtful salesperson I've ever come across. Not only did he help me find a couch, he talked me through various fabric choices (with the perfect balance of opinionated without pushiness), answered my every question (from materials to warranty information) and went above and beyond helping me figure out how to ship from Bethesda to my Brooklyn apartment. I can't recommend Urban Country and Seaton enough!

Urban Country is the best! Even though I live in Philadelphia, Urban Country has furnished my last two homes, and the process has been seamless. Every member of the staff is competent, warm and professional. The customer service is outstanding. Nearly every time a friend or relative comes over, I get compliments on something I purchased through the store. I also love that it's a small, women-owned business! Can't recommend this place enough.

I had bought a couple of things for my house at this store including a rug for my family room earlier this year. I went back recently looking to get another rug but the person who helped me the first time wasn't there. The people who were there showed no interest in assisting me. When I finally got someone's attention the person acted as if they were doing me a favor and like I was keeping them from more important business. Then they gave a ridiculous (bs) answer to my question about ordering a rug sample (it's a long story so I won't go into the details) At this point I've had enough of their dismissive and unhelpful attitude and left. Thankfully they are not the only place that sells the rug brand I was looking at so I went on the Internet and ordered the sample from someone else and will order the rug online and not from Urban Country. Wanted to support the locals but this one apparently does not want my support.

I walked in the other day & wasn’t even acknowledged. Made eye contact & all. I guess you really do have to “look” a certain way to be treated with decency & “worth their time.”

I was disappointed. I had met the founder some time ago and she was so excited about her store that years later when I was in the market for new furniture I visited. The owner did nor remember me me but that was not important. I worked with a designer sales / sales person . I selected an expensive AMERICAN Leather sofa which was expensively on sale. I ordered the sofa during that first visit. She told me I had to act quickly because the sale was about to end. I had to return the next day to get swatch of leather and I was surprised when I looked at the sign outside that the sale had another week to run. I questioned the designer sales person who told me she had been less than candid because she was leaving for vacation the next day. I was not happy but I understood her desire for the commission. I continued to shop and purchased a Wing Chair and two glass tables. I discussed my plans to paint and asked for help with paint colors.She showed me some chips but said after her vacation she would contact me to visit my home and give me more input. The delivery time on the couch was 4 weeks and she said the company was very prompt. I never heard from the designer again except by letter about 90 days later saying the couch would arrive soon. I had to call to find out if the couch had finally arrived and even after making the inquiry I had to follow up to schedule the delivery. When the couch arrived I learned from the shipping material that the manufacturer met its 4 week commitment but Urban dropped the ball. I wonder if they would have been more vigilant if I was allowed to only pay a deposit on the couch and they wanted the balance. I like the furniture. The delivery company was easy to deal with. However, this is my first and last purchase from Urban Country. I do not like disingenuous sales people. I think candor, keeping promises and good follow up are more important than the brands or style Urban sells. I know this is a harsh review but it is deserved.

I spent money buying several pieces of furniture for my house at this furniture store over the years and had no issues with them! However things quickly changed after I spent several thousands of dollars on couch that was totally defective. I called and spoke with the owner who was not helpful in anyway in resolving my issues. My dream couch was a nightmare of piling and bad carftmanship!!! They refused to exchange! It's obviously defective. Urban Country never again !!!!!

Stopped in during lunchtime as the 70% off Floor Model sign caught my eye. Even with the discounted prices, the pieces are still pretty steep. The showroom is laid out in a compacted, yet orderly fashion with furniture & accents for every room. There's pre-staged set ups i.e. bedrooms, living rooms, offices & a section for Kids. You can pick out a room or by design per your own creativity. UCD also offers Interior Design & Custom Window Treatment services. Friendly employees were helpful answering questions. Countless contemporary options & pieces...just a little too ample for my earthtone-ish, nomadic spirit.

Earlier this year we noticed that the finish on a table lamp that we had purchased from Urban Country was beginning to deteriorate. Very unusual, indeed. Although we had purchased the lamp several years earlier, we inquired of the manager, Sascha, what she would suggest. She was incredibly sympathetic to our situation and immediately contacted the manufacturer on our behalf. However, the manufacturer responded several days later that there was little they could or would do since the lamp was clearly beyond the warranty. Nevertheless, Sascha went the extra mile and worked with us to resolve the matter to our complete satisfaction. The entire experience was extraordinarily gratifying. The store clearly is customer-friendly and stands behind the products it sells. Would certainly recommend Urban Country for its high level of customer service.
