Patrick, the owner and stylist, is extremely talented - I have hair that's hard to cut and style (short, fine, lots of cowlicks) and he cuts my hair in a way that makes it look thicker and controls the cowlicks. Genius!

So glad I found U Defining Hair on Yelp. My first visit was a few weeks ago and I love my haircut! I have wavy/curly hair that can be hard to manage when it's humid, but I'm able to style it straight or leave it wavy and I love the way it looks. Great service and great prices. Give Patrick a try!

The salon is a one-chair studio setup. The client is the center of the stylist's'sattention. Patrick is your stylist. He is friendly, a good conversation, and overall a pleasant person. Appointments are timely, and he does not waste your time by being on the phone or otherwise. A true professional. The studio is one of several different spa businesses, collectively located next to the Veridian Apartments, a high-rise community. Don't expect a grandiose mega-salon, but rather an intimate, comfortable studio space. Appointments are made online and there usually tends to be a good selection of times/dates. Prices are reasonable and average. My haircut needs are pretty simple, just a men's haircut. However this is a full service salon with various cuts, trims, coloring, highlights etc. I've been a client for about 2 years, and have always left happy with the results. I plan on being a client for as long as I live in the area.

I've been Patrick's client for several years and thought he did a nice job with my hair. The private space is pleasant and the price is reasonable. I liked him. But today I discovered just how unstable and unreliable he can be. At my previous appointment, he kept me waiting quite a while... but fine, I'm always willing to let stuff like that go, one time. Today, however, I had an appointment just before a big charity event I'm running--and I was stunned when he failed to show up. I texted him to say how important it was for me; instead of apologizing for leaving me in the lurch on my big night, he accused me of being self-centered, called me a "heartless human" for not inquiring how HE was doing (?!) and screamed at me in all caps. Was I supposed to be taking care of him? I was really confused. So... bottom line: if you want a stylist who respects your time and keeps appointments without lame excuses ( he claimed he had a wrong number for me, but he absolutely had my right number--he'd texted me on it when he kept me waiting last time!)--and if you want someone who says "Sorry" when he screws up, and doesn't defend himself by attacking you--then I'd suggest you go elsewhere. If on the other hand you don't mind putting his needs first, then by all means go. He's very talented, and usually very nice. I'm sincerely sorry to write this. As I said, I liked him. This was a really upsetting experience, to have him turn on me like that.

I only trust Patrick with my hair. Seriously. I've gone to other hair stylists and they just don't cut my hair right. He's magical when it comes to all things hair!

Patrick has been cutting my hair for years during which i had all styles, shapes and lengths. Hhe has consistently done a fabulous job with all! I currently have short hair snd everyone compliments me on it! And the real test is, it looks good growing out! I highly recommend Udefining Hair Moments!

I've been going to Patrick for over 10 years (moved in between and still came back to him). I've done color changes, keratin, and tons of cuts with him. He always gets it right and strives to make the client happy. Everyone is always impressed with how good my long hair looks-it's hard to find a stylist that knows how to cut and style long hair appropriately. He's accessible by phone any time and has great scheduling flexibility. I always leave happy. I can't recommend him enough.

I have been to so many hair salons and I can honestly say that I've never lefts a salon as happy as I left U Defining Hair Moments. Patrick is such a professional and is definitely an expert. I showed him my vision and we talked through the entire process. I did the full face frame highlights and couldn't have asked for a better result!
