After calling multiple grocery stores, was very excited to find a place that sold dry ice. They also sell it in pieces so we didn't have to deal with a chisel and gloves. They were pleasant, had a great selection of ice and beverages and a perfect stop for your party.

While I didn't find what I was looking for here (not a much of a cider selection in the summer time), the staff was incredibly helpful and actually took the time to advise me on the best place to go where I found a great selection. I would definitely stop here again.

Overall this place makes buying wine, beer and even ice as easy as possible. Everyone is knowledgeable and wants to help which you do not get at other stores in the area. Selection is great and seems like they never run out of anything! I will be back!

Cured my foul mood one night! I was temporarily in the area and needed to pick up some dry ice. I wasted a lot of time trying a few places closer to where I was staying. Unwittingly putting myself in DC traffic did not help! I called Talbert's to confirm their hours and dry ice availability, knowing I'd be cutting it close. Got a prompt confirmation on the phone and arrived about 10 minutes before closing time.The employee there spotted me right away, and asked if I wanted block or pellets - first I'd had access to pellets on this trip. They were perfect, and he even offered a small empty box that was great for safe handling and getting it into my cooler effectively.Got just what I needed and really turned my mood around. Next time, I'll head straight here and arrive in better spirts.

Talbert's is my go to for wine and ice! Always has what I'm looking for and everyone is super friendly. Also, if you want ice delivery, this is the place. Easy delivery process and fast. Highly recommend for both ice and dry ice.

Love this family run establishment! They have everything I need from high end wine selections to cheap bottles I can run in and grab. Love how it's been around for ages and everyone that works there is so nice. Such a great neighborhood staple

The best, and often only, resource for dry ice in the DMV. Through multiple restaurants and way too many power failures the quick delivery and helpful service Talbert's provided saved so much good food.

I rarely take the time to write reviews but Talbert's deserves one. Yes it is no frills but here's how they are awesome! 1) Exceptional selection, especially given the size of the store. We developed a preference for a certain beer last year and they always kept a case in the back that we could buy from as needed, kinda like a secret stash 2) They caught on to the seltzer trend and have a lovely selection of it 3) they always put the beer in my car for me (or at least offer) 4) they sell batteries individually, which was so perfect on a Sunday night and things are closed due to COVID and I don't want to keep running around town 5) the staff are so nice in there, we always have a little convo 6) they are always ready with a clutch recommendation. Yes as a consultant I would do certain thing to improve the layout to maximize it better but as a person, its the perfect little corner store that gives off a small town feel in a big city.
