My boyfriend is a retired Montgomery county police officer. He was looking for some tubes and screws. We found what we needed with the help. It's always pleasant to shop there because everyone who works there is knowledgeable about products, which makes it easier to shop. Strosniders Hardware has everything you need. You get help one on one.

Visiting the kids in Bethesda for Christmas. Of course they need some things fixed, and of course they don’t have the tools and materials for the job(s). I showed up at the door shortly before opening time on Christmas Eve morning and was told I could go ahead in. Got what I needed (socket sets were on a pretty good sale, too) and was on my way home in minutes. Really appreciate the approach.

It's a great store- nice and clean, friendly and helpful staff, and a very well thought-out selection of both home goods, hardware, tools, and garden stuff. It doesn't have the space of a massive home center but because the selection is so well thought out you can get most things you're likely to need here.

What happened to all of the skilled workers? This store used to have great friendly staff that really knew about home repair. Now there seem to be a lot of hourly workers with little to no experience or skill. When you ask about a product in the store now, you are likely to get the same answer you would get from asking any teenager on the street. Staff attitudes are also surly and frankly a little rude.

There is so much to love about this family owned business. It feels like a "real" hardware store right down to the floors. Strosniders prides itself on exceptional customer service, and the experts in each area know their stuff and patiently answer each and every one of your questions from simple to complicated. They have just about everything basic you could need. The paint department matches small chips of paint so you match the color as it's aged on the wall. Prices are reasonable. Parking available. Terrific hardware store.
