This place was really gross and unsanitary. I was there last Wednesday and I was looking for a BB cream. My first impression of the store was that it was really chaotic and dirty. All of the tester makeup was destroyed and contaminated and there weren't many cotton pads or swabs. The trash bin was overflowing as well.
I asked one of the ladies working there about finding a BB cream. She said she didn't really know and recommended I go to Ulta. The line was also really long and they seemed chronically understaffed. The environment just seemed hostile to making a purchase so I left.

I came to return a contour stick that I purchased at the end of January. I used it a total of 3 times and it stopped being able to extend . Was told bc it’s out of the 60 day window , nothing could be done . So now I’m left with a completely full ( and new ) contour stick that malfunctioned and I am left with no return, exchange or resolution. Very very poor customer service and zero reason why I shouldn’t be able to get a store credit for a brand new product that isn’t working .

Purchased a makeup from a cashier my makeup was not in stock she said to purchase the one she suggested it did not match me I came back she said she worked 3-9 and would be here. I came back to find out she wasn’t working and I wasn’t able to get the makeup I wanted plus they wouldn’t even exchange although I showed proof of purchase through my bank with time stamps

The Sephora overall is good. There was one worker not saying names. but, she accused my daughter of stealing when I was with her and she wasn't. Then today we went back and told her to go out side and put her drinks away when other people literally had drinks and food in their hands. Not happy.

I usually have a good experience at this location, but I cannot say that for my last trip. Yesterday, I went to Westfield Montgomery Mall with a few of my friends. We were super excited to go to Sephora as it was a long time since we've been there. As soon as we stepped into the store we could already notice that almost all the workers were looking at us. We split into a few groups around the store to avoid getting into people's ways, so me and two of my friends went to one aisle. I noticed a moisturizer on the shelf that I had seen on TikTok, so I went to it and began to pump some out of the tester. I was having difficulty pumping it though as a lot of the product was already gone. Then, I noticed a worker walk up to me and my friends. She said a lot, but to summarize what she said, she basically said that she had saw us pumping all of the products and making a "mess" in the store, and to not pump the moisturizer if I'm not going to use it. She then asked if we were in here for anything specific, and if not, we shouldn't be touching everything and making a huge mess (Keep in mind she said all of this with a nasty attitude.) I was taken aback by what she said and the tone in her voice, so me and my friends just said no and then went to a different aisle. Also, for the whole time me and my friends were in the store, that moisturizer was the ONLY thing that we touched and used. Plus, I was in the middle of pumping the product out and didn't have the chance to apply it on my skin, so I can clearly tell that she was just making assumptions. Although I do understand the epidemic of "Sephora 10 year olds", she had no right to talk to us with that much attitude, especially because we were being peaceful and undisruptive. I wish I had gotten a look at her name tag, but unfortunately I was too shocked to do so. All I know is that she was white on the older side, her hair looked bleached to be a blonde/platinum, and that she was short. I had the interaction on Friday, March 1st, at around 5-6 PM. I hope this worker can be identified and that something can be done about her, because I did not feel welcomed and safe in that store.

I had such a great experience with Nefatari (I hope I spelled this right!) She was so patient and knowledgeable I needed a lot of help as I am not experienced at all when it comes to make up. I spent over $500 with her and I do not regret one thing I brought. I had so much fun with her!! She helped me while also helping others we had laughs, and she nailed the looks I was going for. She wasn’t pushy and helped me come to my own decisions about the products she recommended. I will be back to show her how beautiful the make up is on me and share how her tips really helped me. Thanks girl!! Sephora needs to keep her around shes a diamond!!

The manager with the heavy makeup and the jet black hair that comes mid back (or longer) is so rude. Stands in the front and when you ask for help she redirects you elsewhere. I asked a general question about store hours and she redirected me again, I then asked her to point me in the direction of the female fragrances and she redirected me again and each time she was ruder than the next. She needs a new position because standing in front as the "greeter" is not the best place for her and her bad attitude.

Horrible. Never get greeted when I go in and if I need something, I have to look and search for someone to help me. Ladies who work at this mall can be rude and I don’t think I’m coming back to this location

The line is wrapped completely around extending to perfume (18 people in line). One sales associate is at the register and 3 others are chatting together at the front. 2 others are standing nearby as well. It was the same situation when I was here last week.

Yesterday I visited the Montgomery Mall store to so an exchange of a Channel Chance eau de toilette for an eau de parfum. When I got to the counter I was greeted by a young lady who soon got frustrated about the transaction. I explained to her what I needed to do and she checked my receipt which contemplated a Channel Chance eau de toilette for $110, a Burberry perfume for $100 (which I explained to her I had returned the day before at the Pike in Rose North Bethesda store) and another Burberry purse version as well for $39. The young lady did her math and told me in a kind of straight forward and not too nicely way that my remaining balance was $75.Confused I was and I asked her to be more clear. She soon got frustrated and continued to be unspecific about the $75 remaining.I explained to her that the Channel Chance eau de toilette I was returning was $110 and the Channel Chance eau de parfum was $135 therefore I only owed $25 remaining which could be paid out of the $39 Burberry purse version I was also returning. She, for some reason still did not understand my point and called another associate on the earpiece. Then another young, but more experienced lady came to help out. However, although this other associate understood more straight forward that I was returning everything and then buying the perfume I needed, she did not greet me, nor asked me politely what is that I needed. She just said to me “what’s going on” looking at the receipt and the screen at the cashier. She did poor eye contact with me and her tone was snappy while she was doing the transaction. Then another lady came next to her asking her and myself the same question “what’s going on” she said to me without before greeting me or using a friendly tone. I started feeling how people around us started to notice there was some type of attitude. At this point I was tired and visibly nervous, specially because I am pregnant and very sensitive about feeling upset or confused. I at all times kept myself calm and explained further since everyone seemed to be upset about my exchange. Nevertheless this last lady that came to the counter stayed in the cashier staring at the screen and said to me “well somebody needs to explain to me what’s going on here” while the other lady went to get my order. I remained quiet because 1. I was tired of explaining the situation for more than three times already, and 2. Because I was not being treated with respect. When the other young lady came back with my order, the other lady left mumbling that she still needed to know what had happened. She did not say anything else to me.This was my first time visiting this store and it’s sad to say that I do not recommend it.The reason why, it is because I feel I was treated very unprofessionally; and they also treated each other unprofessionally in front of me and the rest of the customers behind me. I felt embarrassed while I was there and feeling exposed for something any customer can do (exchange a product) and I do not what to go through this experience again with Sephora at Montgomery Mall.Unfortunately I do not have the names of the associates that were involved, but if you need me to identify them I can certainly do that.Sincerely,Katherinne Sepulveda
