Salon Gerard is hands down the best salon in the entire DMV area. I've tried several others, but this is the only one that always gives me the results I want. Everyone in there is extremely welcoming and professional. I highly recommend this salon!

I was trying to transition to my natural grey after using at home color during COVID. It was a long process but Chenelle did a great job blending and making the coloring changes gradual and natural looking, and I love my cuts too!

Sarah did my hair and this was the first time ive decided to do a crazy color. I couldnt have asked for anything better, she made the whole experience super fun and if you’re ever considering adding some cool color to your hair i 100% reccomend her ?

I've been a big fan of Gerard's work for over a decade now, since he was pretty much my emotional arm floaties as far as trusting non-Asians with my temperamental Asian hair. But it'd be remiss of me to not give a shout-out to Chenelle, who has garnered so much of my trust with her cut, highlighting, and coloring skills over the past few years. The low-key transformations she's given to my hair always grow out beautifully, and she's fixed two unfortunate haircuts that I've gotten elsewhere while traveling. Logistics-wise, street parking can be competitive but there's a parking garage just a block away. I love that I can see availability online and book at-will. They basically have a loyal customer for life out of me, even though I no longer live as conveniently close as I used to!

If this were a restaurant, Gerard would have a Michelin star! He gives an amazing cut and is very personable. The salon is very bright and pleasant. Will definitely be going back.

Chenelle did such an incredible job! This was the first time in so long that I left a salon ecstatic about my new hair. Lots of beautiful layers yet so easy to style! I will definitely be going back.

Really enjoyed this salon. Tais is my hair dresser and she is amazing! Got a haircut and balayage and both turned out perfectly. Highly recommend Tais and this salon in general.

Gerard is the best! I've been seeing him since he first apprenticed at Lux and I was a part time receptionist responsible for book 10+ stylists. I would notice how everyone looked before their appointment and how good they looked after. Even as an apprentice, Gerard made his clients shine. Once he became a full fledged stylist I made sure to book all my appointments with him because his clients had the best transformations. His cuts are amazing and his blow dry skills are phenomenal. I don't get my hair colored often but the few times that I've dabbled, all of my super styled friends ask me where I've gotten it done. I've been seeing Gerard so long that he knows exactly how to cut my super thick and abundant Asian hair. I usually come dressed in an outfit that I feel like conveys the look I want and he always manages to blow me away with an awesome do that matches my mood to the T. Here is a pick of my most recent cut. The best part is that his cuts look even better a month or two in.

Well I didn't think that I would be so blown away. I went to see Nadine for color and cut! She is so friendly and incredibly accommodating and her shampoos are to DIE FOR! Nadine gave me a few ideas to modernize my look. I had very traditional highlights and my hair had been feeling dry and dull. I went in for a "reverse" balayage and lowlights to update my look and let me tell you I look EXPENSIVE . I got exactly what I wanted from a luxurious color experience and my hair finally has life again . I highly recommend Nadine she's a cool chick!

I was so excited for a haircut but left frustrated with no haircut. I arrived the salon and someone told me sit in the corner with no information. After multiple times asking at the front desk, Nadine finally came out 30 minutes after my appointment was suppose to begin and informed me it would be another 45 minute wait. I was unable to keep waiting and she rudely said she couldn't do anything to help. I would have liked to know she was running over an hour behind before I left work early. The front desk was rude, Nadine was rude, and it was a terrible experience.
