Room & Board in Bethesda came through in a pinch when I needed a sofa in a relatively short period of time. I was struck by the professional and personalized customer service by Brianne R., who went out of her way to patiently and carefully help me select the right sectional and appropriate palette of fabrics should I decide on a custom piece. As a first time customer as of December 2023, my experience, especially with Brianne, has sold me on Room & Board as a go-to retailer for quality furniture and service. Very pleased and highly recommend this location!

It's nice to have e a Room & Board in Bethesda, but it's annoying that their selection is so small. In part because they have a bigger store on 14th St Northwest DC, this one is very small and only stocks their best-selling things. The result is that the most interesting thing they had was dining room chairs, which were really nice to be able to see and sit in. The bookshelf/organization section (that we came in for) was small enough to not really be able to help even if the people there were energetic and helpful.Sadly, I think unless they happen to have what you want to see (and it's hard to know that before you), you're better served driving to the bigger store, which is what we'll do next time.

Denee was really helpful in helping me decide on a sofa that would go with the blue velvet chairs I already have. Decided on the Metro sofa, and since I chose an in stock fabric and it came in a week and I love it. Delivery was also really easy and prompt. $89 is a much more reasonable delivery fee than everywhere else I looked - highly recommend R&B!

This is more of a sample store. If you want the full store with all merchandise, you need to go to the DC location.

Pretty much just a design studio, no real merchandise to view. If you already know what you want and just want to see fabric, material, or hardware samples then this place will work. Otherwise just go to the DC location that has actual furniture. Disappointment really. They should advertise this as a design studio and not a furniture store.
