Bought the Car with Ourisman Bethesda and have been servicing the car with them. Initial factory warranty was for two years and I did all the required on time. But the last one done the report they gave me said they changed my oil and refill this was on May 20. The weird thing is that I got an oil light in July. I was worried the car was loosing oil since it was too soon. I added a quarter oil. And start paying attention to where I parked my car looking for oil spots and nothing for about a week. Called the service and they checked up. What they told me is Car is ok… I am not loosing oil or pressure my engine is perfectly fine. So where is the oil that was supposed to be filled in may? How does the oil disappear within two months when it was supposed to last until my next oil change? Well they told me some cars consume more oil than others. Seriously? It is a 2022 Tiguan, I don’t even have 20k miles, I use the car to commute to work barely 20 miles per day. I believe they never changed my oil or added anything. Now I am not even confident that they did change the filters either. Or when I am supposed to do the following oil and filter changes.
The only thing I know is that I am not bringing my car here anymore.

The worst service, I ever been to. This place performed regular maintenance on my car, my car started overheating the next day. When I tried to call the service, nobody will respond and the phone operator would transfer me to her manager, but even the manager would not make a minute to talk.

I've had services done at Ourisman Bethesda for my brand new 22' Atlas. I went because they (used to) offer free service valet from home and because I bought the car from them.
The quality of mechanics and level of attention to detail at this service center are poor. So far I've found loose screw sitting in the engine bay after a service, couldn't get oversensitive proximity sensors resolved after 3 trips, and now, identified by another VW service center, found the splash guard under the engine is gone.
I've only sent the car to Oursiman Bethesda for service thus far, and I never will again.

The parts manager Jordan Woodruff is unprofessional, not being valued as an employee as a purpose of wanting the company to grow, unapologetic, complains about being there, saying quote “ I’m just here” and not a team player to his coworkers as a former employee from 11/23-07/24

I recently purchased a brand new car from here. My experience is maybe not important for some people, but it did matter to me greatly and I am very sad from what I went through. This is for anyone who is buying a car.
I was very very excited for getting a new car after my traumatic experience with Eastern Motors Alexandria(see review).
I enjoy listening my podcast in the car and Apple CarPlay is helping me greatly but as many of you probably know the phone gets very hot and it’s overcharged if I connected all the time to play CarPlay. So, my new car in 2024 needed to have a wireless connection. It’s 2024! It’s sounds not too much I was dreaming to have.
Anyway long story short. My new Taos doesn’t have a wireless connection after all. The sales told us while we were at the test drive and also during purchasing process, after purchase, all the way-I was informed my car has a wireless connection.
So when I found out by myself my brand new car has no features. I had some wired sweat. And regret why I listened and not checking before I leave the dealership.
I can’t afford the higher model, so if I knew or if sales told me there is no wireless, I walked away that day not buying a new brand new car. I could go to another brand and they have wireless for 2024 car for sure.
I wrote to the General Manager (who I see the name in many reply to the other review-Mr. Tibolla)of this location but no reply.
I just want to know I was either lied to sell out that day because it was the end of the special promotion month or the sales person just didn’t know, no knowledge about it.
Hi, the sales person, I am not doing name calling. I am a good person. I really trusted you so much and I bought because I liked your personality. I wish you could tell me “I am so sorry I made a mistake” not just ghosting out from the message. It hurts when someone who was so nice and helping suddenly stop communicating.

I took my 2024 Volkswagen Atlas to Ourisman Volkswagen of Bethesda Service Center to get the AC fixed, and the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.
I initially brought the car in on June 19th because the AC would start blowing hot air after 20-30 minutes. Dropped it off at 9 am and called at 4 pm for an update, only to be told they were still diagnosing the problem and needed more time. Had to take the car back due to an early flight but returned on June 23rd, and still, they couldn't fix it.
Made another appointment for July 1st, and they kept the car for an entire week (7/1 - 7/5) without providing a loaner. Instead, they suggested I text for rides, which was super inefficient given my wife's work in DC and my son's summer camp in Maryland. Major hassle for my family.
They returned the car on Friday evening, saying they replaced the compressor. My wife and I planned a date night only to find the AC still wasn't working. Called immediately and brought the car back on July 6th. As of July 14th, I still don't have my car, and the issue isn't resolved.
This whole ordeal has been incredibly frustrating. The repeated failures to fix the problem, lack of efficient customer service, and the inconvenience caused by not providing a loaner car have made this a terrible experience. I do not recommend and will be using a different service center moving forward.

We could not be happier with the service we received from Troy at the Ourisman Volkswagen Service Department in Bethesda today. A repair at another dealer went wrong and we did not know until a passenger sat in the car at the start of a long road multi-day trip. This was a safety issue and Troy got us in right away even though the dealership was busy. Amazing customer service & superior repairs - what more could you ask for in a service department!

Car was in for two recalls to get fixed. When I picked it up, it had clearly been side swiped. They didn’t tell me about the damage, which is the worst part because I realize accidents happen and it would have looked better on their end to be honest. I’ve taken my car there twice since buying it from them, the first time they scratched the exterior pillar with some kind of tool, the second time I need ~$2k in body work from a nasty side swipe. I explicitly didn’t even want them to wash it, that is how little I trusted them. Everyone I know with a VW has had bad experiences including being charged made up “diagnostic fees” for work under warranty, to the staff being shockingly rude. I have gone elsewhere for oil changes and thought they couldn’t possibly mess up some routine recall fixes. Regardless of where you bought your VW, any dealer can do recalls and warranty repair work. Take your car somewhere else. If you haven’t bought your car yet, buy it from a different dealer. These people are incompetent and dishonest.

Buy the car with them. I took it yesterday because the engine light came on. They charged me 230 dollars just to scan it. Then they sent me a whole report in which, according to them, they recommend spending 4,300 dollars on new wheels, rear brakes, alignment / I just had it aligned 2 months ago, glass cleaners, spark plugs. The Atlas spark plugs are iridium and according to the manual they last about 85,000 miles. I have 59,000 and they didn't even take them out to see the condition. According to them, the light comes on because the oil cap is bad and needs to be changed, $520 for it. The air filter is dirty according to them and they never sent an image, I changed the air filter less than 6 months ago. I think they just want to invoice and get the money from the client.

OURISMAN VW service no longer seems to be pushing costly, unanticipated service needs. This is good. The company would do itself a big favor by improving communications with customers. Call after call via the phone tree gets one nowhere. Customers deserve an easy way to send and receive emails or text messages with timely responses and real-time information.

Zero stars… This place is HORRIBLE. I bought a car from here and it’s been nothing but problems since. First the gave me a new car salesman. I could tell it was his first day but he knew NOTHING about the car I was buying. Then from there it was lies they told me the vehicle was certified pre-owned. LIE! It was not. The female financial advisor just said that to get me to buy the car. 3 months later I had to get the brakes on the car replaced. Everyone else I spoke to told me that the dealership should have handled that before selling me the car. Now yesterday, I was driving on the highway. There were no potholes in my tire popped. It ripped all the way around, and the gentleman that assisted me who was also Car service member, told me that the tires were bad tires and the dealership gave me dry rotted tires. Once I got in contact with the dealership, they told me that there was a warranty and that I should be covered for 24 months after they installed the tires. So at this point, it has only been 11 months since I’ve had the car, and now they’re telling me that they cannot honor the warranty because the car is used. My problem is if you are installing dry rotted tires it should not be my issue and no one at that dealership was helpful. I had to call them multiple times, just to get an answer. The service advisors were not good, nor were the directors of the service advisors. I will never go back to this establishment ever again, and I am hopefully helping out the next person who wants to go to this dealership. Do not do it I promise you. I have also attached a picture of my “brand new” tire that they installed March 14 of last year… Please let me know what you think…

While I ultimately didn't have them work on my car (I traded it in on a new one), their customer service was excellent. From the moment I walked in the door, they were polite, efficient and communicative. I want to especially single out Carlos who was an exemplar of top-notch client management.

To say I am disappointed in my lack of service today is a gross understatement. I had a scheduled service for oil change and diagnostic for 7:40 this morning (Wed, 01/03) with valet pick up of the vehicle. The pick up did happen a little after 8:00, but I thought it was still plenty early enough in the day to receive service. I did receive a text confirmation at 9:15 that the car was onsite. At 2:51 I received another text that the car had not yet been serviced. Not even pulled into the bay. They were behind. At 5:26 I asked for an update and was told the car had not been serviced. My husband needed to have the car first thing Thursday morning. Since all the valets had already gone home, the only solution was to send a Lyft to me so I could pick up the car unserviced.Using a service that should have made my life easier instead complicated things. I was stressed most of the afternoon and now need to find another way to get the car serviced. I’ve used Alexandria VW for years and never had these issues. After a recent move, Ourisman Bethesda was closer. I will not be trying again with Ourisman.
