Frustrating experience. Took my wife's car here to plug a tire. They charged me $39 and completed it in about 10 minutes. So far so good. The next time she went to drive it, the tire was flat again. She took it back and they told her that plugs were temporary and that they couldn't see anything wrong with it. They suggested we take it to the dealership and get a new tire. They then tried to charge her an additional $39. She was appropriately frustrated with that surprise additional charge and they held the car hostage until they agreed to take $20. So we are now out $60 and have a tire that leaks air.

I came to this Exxon with a nearly flat tire and they repaired from the outside (which, since it was damaged and needed to be replaced wasn’t a horrible idea) but they did a “hatchet job” per my contact at a tire shop and they charged $45 for it - a less than 5 minute job done poorly and simply on the outside. Overpriced operation - or maybe I was naive not asking how much before it was done.

Cannot recommend this place enough. The staff are exceptionally kind and knowledgeable. Came here to get my car inspected and Chris went out of his way when my car failed inspection to get me for re-inspection. Very professional and timely. Will always come back.

Chris, the Owner, was amazing and completely honest after I took my car to him for a "second opinion." After taking it to an authorized Jeep Service Center for a free recall repair, they told me they noticed $3600 worth of "immediate" repairs I needed on my Jeep. I left them with a detailed inspection report complete with photos, and immediately drove to Montgomery Mall Exxon where they looked at my car and were appalled at how I was blatantly lied to. The photos they included in my report could NOT have been of my car. Everything they said I needed to repair was not true. I am so thankful there are still some honest businesses who don't just see dollar signs when a car comes in for a recall. THANK YOU CHRIS!!!! I will only take my car to Montgomery Mall Exxon for all its repairs.Service: Engine repair

Don’t do inspection here! The guy harassed me for having 2013 car which run 200k miles. He is talking about “be thankful that I felled you for 3 things” and he added alignment to be done after we talked and tried to get extra $120. This place charges $62 for re-inspection unlike other places. Don’t try it!

We received a price from a local Toyota dealership to replace the sway bar & assembly on my daughters ‘08 Camry. It cost me $80 just to have them look at it- & it took them about 10 minutes to diagnose & tell me $1500. Decided to try a ‘hometown garage’. We didn’t tell Chris about the prior diagnosis- just wanted to hear what he found. He provided the same diagnosis, but informed us it could be REPAIRED instead of replaced, at MUCH less the cost. Less than 2 hours later- Chris called that it was ready for pick up. No more bumping and the control and stability is back to normal. THANK YOU, CHRIS! For your honesty, speed and quality work! You now have a loyal customer & we will recommend you to others for sure!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have been very pleased with my experiences at this shop. As a single mom who doesn't know much about cars, it's so wonderful to find a place that I can trust. They have always been up front and made recommendations for my safety. Chris has been very responsive and thoughtful. Once they even gave me a follow-up call when I told them I was going on a road trip to make sure the vacation went smoothly and that all went well with my vehicle.

Gas and service stations serve many purposes for people. For us, this Exxon station was an oasis after the longest traffic-ridden delay run on I-95 on our way back from the beach in North Carolina. In our moment of need, this special place appeared as the first gas station we could find. I ran into ask for a bathroom key, and the attendant (sensing the urgency in my voice - that of a father with two bladder bursting children) immediately gave it to me without even a hint of hesitation. The bathroom was in really good condition too. Outstanding even. Well done Exxon! I highly recommend this rest stop for anyone!

Great service by Chris and the staff at this mechanic shop! I've been bringing my car here for years and they continue to put life back into it to ensure I can truly "drive it into the ground." This location is convenient, professional, and always friendly. I don't usually need to go inside; but when I have, I had a nice interaction with the staff. This location is easy to get in and out off when leaving the mall or driving past in Bethesda. This is my go-to gas station in the area, and there are several next to it.
