This Marriott goes above and beyond in every aspect. I was only here for a short time but was very impressed with the M Club and the interior throughout the hotel. If you enjoy using hotel gyms, this is one of the best I’ve seen. Guest services at check in and check out were also phenomenal. Very attentive and kind - thank you!

Our family utilized the new Marriott Bethesda Downtown at Marriott HQ hotel as the hub for our Maxson family pre-Christmas celebrations with out-of-town adult children in for a quick visit. I should have taken more pictures, but this is a beautiful facility that I highly recommend for family and friends visiting this region. Both restaurants are amazing and open to the public—no need to be a hotel guest, but the rooms are beautifully designed and comfy if you want to stay. The staff in all departments of the facility are amazing! Fabulous experience. Highly recommend!

Wedding Review!Overall we would give our experience a 4 out of 5. We truly did enjoy the wedding process with Marriott, and the wedding was magnificent! We are very grateful to have had our wedding here and to work with the amazing Sarah Bucy, who made this process easy and fun.Booking process: We actually booked with Marriott before they opened and before they had a wedding package created! Lillian convinced us to come in and tour and really sold us on having our wedding here. She was knowledgeable, gave us a great tour, and helped us create a wedding package that fit our budget and needs.Planning: We soon met Sarah, and she was a joy to work with! She was responsive, responding to emails very quickly, gave us good advice when asked, and worked well with our wedding coordinator. It truly felt like she went above and beyond, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have worked with her. She is AMAZING!!Food: Our menu tasting was a highlight for us. The food was delicious and it felt personalized. We were very pleased that the food was held to the same standard the night of the wedding, and equally as delicious for all of our guests!Location: Plenty of parking options, and a beautiful venue!!! So unique and different from the usual ballroom look and feel.Unfortunately there were some mishaps. When we checked into the hotel the afternoon before our wedding, only one of our suites we booked were available. I had emailed months prior about reserving two suites (one for the bride and one for the groom) but unfortunately, they only booked one of them, and there were no more available. We were at the check out desk for about 45 minutes figuring this out, putting us behind schedule. We were offered two connecting rooms in replacement, but unfortunately this did no good as the doors did not open all the way/did not stay open, so we only utilized the room for the groomsmen to arrive in. Not a good place for pictures either! We were able to use the Hip Flask area for the groomsmen to take pictures, which was a nice gesture, but we were very disappointed in the wasted time, and the wrong room being booked for us.On top of the room mistake, I was told that my suite would be a corner suite overlooking the city. While I know this was not in the contract, but a verbal promise, I was sad to see we were not given the corner suite.Lastly, this was another mistake made by Marriott, and in our contract. Our contract stated that we would get a complimentary, in room breakfast the morning after our wedding. This did not happen and we were not contacted about this either. Technically we paid for this in our contract, but we did not receive it.Again, overall working with this Marriott was a great experience, and we were able to have the wedding of our dreams. Thank you Marriott!

DO NOT PAY FOR M CLUB!! Hotel is fine- we are titanium level and get M club included. By far- this is the worst lounge we have ever experienced. Which is ironic since this hotel is attached to the corporate offices of Marriott. Apparently no one has ever ventured over next door… Food inedible. Items that should be hot (or even warm for that matter) eggs, breakfast meats, were room temp. For the evening there was something that resembled a mini crab cake until you tasted it. The worst fishy tasting rock! I seriously do not know how this menu gets put out each and every day. I feel bad for people who actually pay for the “upgraded” experience. Save your money and go to the Aloft down the street. Oh- and I mentioned it to the elite guest services person and her response:“Would you like me to have the chef warm your food?” Nah I’ll pass.

Update for Oct 2023: As planned, we stayed here again 19-22 Oct 2023. The hotel was great. Alijah and Bria were hard at work at the first floor bar so my wife got her drink (Thank you both, you brought many smiles to her face). At check-in, they pulled up my name and mentioned how we'd been there once and if we had any new questions. That was a great touch that they keep track of times stayed.New things done included walking to Tastee Diner and catching a movie. They are <5 and about 10 minutes away respectively. There are a ton of things to do in the area, and we've barely made a dent.I've seen a bunch of reviews about how expensive valet parking is here. True, BUT, it is listed on their website so it should be known at the time of booking. The valet even mentioned there is public parking across the street. So, there are options and not any reason to be surprised about parking expenses.Next stay here is planned for 7-10 Dec. There was talk of a possible new drink menu for the rooftop bar, so we'll see if the Rose Gold is still around. There's also a small theater (Bethesda Theater) that we'll be trying too.Again, I can't say enough great things about this hotel. The people, the rooms, the many things to do in the area, the first floor Club...everything is really nice here.----------So, we tend to stay in Marriott hotels while on vacation. This was our first time in Bethesda and we stayed from 18-20 Aug 2023. This is now one of our favorite hotels. This place is amazing. Within walking distance we went to a comedy club, got a couple's massage, and went for dinner. The rooftop bar is awesome during sundown. They have a drink up there called Rose Gold that was just daaamn good.If you're Elite status, they have a lounge on the first floor that you can go to as well. They had coffee all day, a wine dispenser, and a nice selection of stuff to nibble on.The room had a hella view, was really clean, and was laid out really well. Every person we met from valets through front desk, to bartenders made us feel welcome. But the best part of the stay was Alijah, Bria and Tasha. They worked the first floor bar area. My wife and I can't compliment them enough. They hung out and talked with us both Friday and Saturday until close when they weren't taking care of other patrons. Even experimented on a drink that my wife loved (thank you much Alijah). This place is going to be our go-to location for quick weekend get-aways when possible and in fact is our destination for an October 20 weekend. If you get a chance, stay here. You won't be disappointed at all.

We ate at seventh state and had out of town guests with us. My brother in law said it was the best flank steak he’s ever had! The drinks, appetizers entrees and desserts were all top notch. Griffin our server was simply the best!!! Attentive friendly fun and helpful in making recommendations! It was a great way to to celebrate my birthday, and having him as a server, only made the experience better!

We made a hotel block reservation at The Marriott HQ after reviewing various proposals from hotels. Not only were they the best value, but they also became the unofficial headquarters of our wedding weekend. We used this place for everything and we couldn’t be more impressed. In addition to being our wedding block site, our families met at the restaurant, the bar hosted our welcome happy hour, the bridesmaids got ready in one of the suites. The entire weekend was flawless. Thank you!

What a great experience! The property is beautiful and the service was outstanding! The location was perfect - we left the car and walked everywhere. So much to do right around the hotel.Everyone we came in contact with at this property was friendly and helpful! The rooftop bar- OMG, the ROSE GOLD cocktail is perfection! The M lounge was awesome - truly felt the privileges of being Elite!Shout outs to Alijah, Tasha and Bria who made this stay so memorable. They were welcoming, engaging and fun. Hoping that Alijah's vodka /basil cocktail is added to the menu at the lobby bar soon!Planning my next stay already!Rooms: Lots of room, great views, comfortable.Nearby activities: Lots of restaurants and activitiesSafety: Very safe area - hotel policies in place (key needed for elevators and M lounge- different access elevator to rooftop bar for non -guests, etc)Walkability: We left the car and walked everywhere. Plenty of things to do around the hotel.Food & drinks: The food was really good at the bars and in the M lounge. Get the ROSE GOLD cocktail from the rooftop bar - you'll thank me later!Noteworthy details: Location is amazing! There is so much to do and everything is walkable.

Very nice hotel, the room was excellent and the view was great for the area. Located near all necessities, a CVS yet tons of different types of restaurants. Within walking distance of many spots, you would want to try out or visit. Definitely would stay at this location again. The rooftop bar is excellent during the day and at night. The lobby restaurant seats inside and out with sliding doors.

My team had lunch celebrating our leader's birthday. Seventh State is one of her favorite lunch spots! Our server provided top-notch service and even arranged for a complimentary slice of Smith's Island cake for the occasion! Our leader was pleasantly surprised. Our lunch selections, the atmosphere and your superb service made it for a very special occasion!

The hotel was fabulous. Alfredo Espinoza, food & Beverage Operations Manager, was the most helpful person I have ever come across at any hotel. He went above and beyond to help my niece with finding a matching bowl for a TV segment. The whole staff was excellent. would return to this hotel in a NY minute!!!Rooms: Can't say enough about how nice the room was.

Modern hotel with room amenities that didn’t match the rates charged. A hotel as this should provide a better coffee machine than what they have now. They charge ridiculous price for bottled water . I have stayed in less glamorous hotels with better service and amenities and free bottled water and very good coffee machine.Rooms: Auster rooms with more focus on tech than needed.Walkability: More food choices abound if you are able to walk.Food & drinks: You need to walk to get varieties of choice.

Decent modern hotelReckless, Ignorant, and heartless service. The nightmare is the customer service in the hotel and the Marriott group. We stayed in the hotel for one night and left my gf's necklace on the top of the sink. 5 hours after checking out we called the hotel about the necklace and they said they would call us back. No call after one hour. Since the necklace is a 21-year birthday gift and cost double the room price, we drove 1 hour to talk to the stuff in hotel. And we were told that no body had turned in any necklace, it could been thrown away. Then we were left in the lobby. Nobody ever talked to us again, nor at least convey some kind of sorriness. We were so down for the loss and didn't want to accuse anybody for crime or make a scene in the lobby. So we left and filed a concern form on Marriot website. Then the reply just ignored my statement that clearly states the situation, telling us they would keep looking for it and let me know. And it has been almost a month, never heard back from they about this necklace which is either taken or thrown away. This is my first review on google just for the loss and emotional damage I suffered from this hotel.
