Unfortunately you cannot give zero (something Google should think about it). In June, I was passing by the store with my husband and saw a classic linen dress that I had a similar one twenty years ago. I tried the large but was tight on the shoulder. No salesperson would help me until a male employee that was at the fitting room was very professional and placed the order for a larger size to be delivered to my address. I really appreciated his assistance. Yesterday (7/8) I stopped by the store because I had a pick-up to return the dress for a store credit because I had over $300.00 of merchandise in my cart and wanted to use the money towards the purchase. I was greeted by employee A (EEA) but I had difficulty understanding her and we were going nowhere. Employee B (Lupe, second in command) passed by and EEA requested assistance. I stated that I had an online pick-up and a return. If she could start with the pick-up because I was looking for the e-mail confirmation of the order for the dress. I asked if she needed the order number because I had the text confirmation that the order was ready to be picked-up. Ms. Lupe stated that she needed only my id. When she saw that I was 60 years old she changed her attitude. I was told that a pick-up was not available and that she was going to do a one time courtesy to refund the dress. She was without looking at the e-mail because we paid less for the dress in June than what she was willing to give me as a one time courtesy. When I showed her the email with the date and amount, she totally changed her attitude, became even rudier, folded the dress agressively and said "our return policy is 30 days and I am not giving you any courtesy."
When I stated that she was very rude, she replied not and when I told her that I was going to take this to Corporate office she looked at me and said go ahead. I told her she did not know who she was massing with. I already filed an age and racial complaint against this Gap store and from reading the reviews I wonder where is the main store Manager and the District Manager because I was told that Ms. Lupe is second in command. If this is the best that Gap has to offer so help us all. It is sad to see a Corporation that is having a come back from years of sluggish sales employee individuals as these. I worked for Dress Barn for 2 years while putting myself through school and had just delivered a baby. I learned it takes a very unique personality to deal with the public and like we say in Brazil "if you cannot handle the heat get out of the kitchen." Forgot to say that after 10 minutes I left the store, my pick-up order was refunded. So, I was at the correct place.

Terrible customer service and rude staff!I received the incorrect item in my online order. I went to the gap store to hopefully fix my issue, but was let down tremendously. The two employees I found myself with told me I had to call customer service and very rudely shooed me away, so I did. Customer service then told me I could do the exchange at the store. When I arrived to the store a second time I prefaced my return by saying I didn’t mean to be an annoyance to them because they were clearly bothered. The employees then very rudely told me they could not do the exchange for me due to inventory, and that I had to call customer service back to resolve my problem. Not to mention the staff did not see the item I had in my bag, so how would they know it’s not in their inventory? They were just a pair of sweatpants, too, nothing otherworldly. I work in retail, so I completely understand, but there is no need to become rude with a customer that is genuinely confused and treating you with respect and kindness just because you are annoyed. Customer service is meant to be valued at companies like this, and with the way their team treats customers you can clearly tell that good customer service is not their priority at all. I also think it’s a little ridiculous I have to jump through hoops to fix a mistake the company made. I’m very disappointed with how the situation was handled. Very rude staff, the customer service is a 0/10!! If I were you I’d steer clear from this gap location.

Management was rude and would not honor a return or even store credit with full tags just beyond 30 days. Despite mobility challenges. First and last time shopping here

They’re so rude here. No greetings or good customer service etiquettes. They look like they don’t care and they don’t want to deal w you. First time picking up today. Email says it’s ready- not true. Item isn’t prepared until I came for it. I offered my QR code, but she said didn’t need it. After checking my ID she went about saying the order last name is different. Butchers the Viet last name that I didn’t recognize is Viet, but to my point, was not not my last name. I checked my confirmation- it has the correct name. I verified by saying it’s Le and I’m coming for a size small. She tells me to open the bag and check for myself. Um- you just went to grab my order- can you confirm that’s the correct order I’m picking up??? That everything is set and good to go- that I’m not picking up another person’s order??? She proceeds to rip up tags and ignores me. Left me just standing there and continued her work without looking up at me. I asked “Is that it?” Her response “yeah” What happened to “This is your order. Does everything look ok? Is there anything else I can help you with? Or Thank you- Have a good day!” Whole time I can see the manager in the background looking at us, but she must think her staff is doing well to not interfere.

This location is nice and clean. The prices are good. We were greeted by a friendly associate. The cloths from Gap is a good quality at a good price. I just wish they had shorter jeans.

I have been shopping at the GAP for a very long time all over the DMV and this has by far been the most embarrassing encounter with an employee at a clothing store. This gentleman Salvador was as rude as they come - I purchased several Dog hoodies offline that didn’t fit my dog so I came to return. I had my items in the plastic that they were sent it, Salvador asked me several times were I got them from, I told him offline he says to me “you can’t return online items at the store” then he proceeds to tell me “ I didn’t purchase them” I said to him you can look up my purchases with my tele # or email he took both and said nothing came up. At this point there’s a line of people looking at me as if I’m doing something wrong… I even pulled up my order number on my phone and the GAP manager Salvador is still telling me “you didn’t purchase them” ridiculous! I asked to speak with another manager and he tells me he’s the only one, this was false. I walked over to GAP kids and asked another worker for a manager. 25 min later another GAP employee comes from the back, no smile no hello no eye contact no nothing, just rude as can be. I explain the situation again and she asked for my number and for some strange reason the items magically appeared! I had wasted almost an hour of my time because someone thought I tried to get over on some $30.00 dog hoodies? Not one apology was given to me I was floored! The Malls are just not what they use to be and this is why online shopping is so popular, customers can avoid the bad attitudes and crowds. Oh, I reached out to GAP and waiting for them to reach back out to me. These stores need more training when it comes to dealing with customers!
