A few years ago, I purchased a beautiful mink double breasted coat. It has been a treasured item in my closet to be wore on those cold windy and wet winter days. I wore it once on a very rainy day in Alexandria Virginia and was I surprised the coat was the perfect choice for that particular occasion. It was pouring rain, a bit slushy and damp. When I returned home, my beautiful mink was soaked... I shook it out , put it on the back of a chair and hoped it would be in better shape once dried!!! It was perfect, luscious and shiny and ready to be wore in the worse of winter weather. I highly recommend Gartenhaus for all you fur needs. They also tailored the coat to my request and I absolutely love it!

Great place. We need more fur places like this. Fur is only thing to keep you warm in the winter times in the dmv area. :)

Six years ago, my wife died from stage 4 cancer. Two weeks later I received a marketing call from Gartenhaus. I called them back and explained my situation to them. I asked them to remove my number from the calling list. I was told it would be removed that day. Since then, twice a year, for the past six years I still receive calls from them. Twice a year I call them and ask them to remove me from the calling list. What is so difficult about removing my number from the calling list? I would not recommend this business to anyone....

What happened to the customer "white glove" treatment that Gartenhaus was known for?I have been coming to them for over 24 years for storage. Recently I went to pick up my fur after calling ahead and it was not yet available! Really? Not acceptable.....

I went in to the store for the first time today and the customer service was horrible! Not one employee greeted me or acknowledged me until I had been there for over 15 minutes and was trying on a fur. A male employee made eye contact with me several times and walked right passed me without any greeting. I refuse to spend my money where the service is poor.

The fur industry is OVER! Fur trade is only known for torment, misery, and torture! The animals are an ally electrocuted & skinned alive! The lucky ones get caught in traps and die in excruciating pain days after unless they are shot. Who in the world in 2019 wants to wear murder on their backs! EVOLVE like all the other fashion designers- Stop Selling Torture! Your shop is outdated - be on the right side of Compassion - there are many other fashion lines you could sell without slaughtering these innocent animals for vanity !

I am appalled by the poor business practices of Gartenhaus. They have lost my coat, delivered a cheaper one with someone else's initials and will not respond. They do not return phone calls, they are unresponsive when we do speak and they had no manage available even after multiple calls. I am forced to hire attorney. Horrendous and irresponsible service. I would have added no stars if I could.

Furs by Gartenhaus could follow up on inquiries about repair project. Fur was promised at or about 15 Nov. I called to inquire on 20 Nov and was told that someone would call me the next day. NOTHING. I called again on 4 Dec and was told someone would call me within a half hour. Two hours have passed and, again, NOTHING. I can remember when this was a reliable place of business.

Very good service. Brought a fur I had been gifted for appraisal and storage. Folks were kind, prompt, and helpful. I'll continue with them. Their business depends on repeat customers!
