Have used this shop several times over the years because the Optometrist, Dr. Lerner is always excellent (she gets 5 stars!).
My experience with the optical shop has been good in the past, but my recent experience has not been optimal (new management). One of the frames I purchased has the finish coming off after just 4 weeks of wear. The shop personnel (including manager) have just shrugged their shoulders without any offer to uphold the 100% satisfaction guarantee displayed in the store.
The manager contacted after this review to offer me the option of ordering a new frame. I appreciated him reaching out. I selected a new frame and paid the difference in the cost.

I have been to this store before and found it fast and efficient.No more.Of the three clerks, one was helping a customer and the other two were on their phones.The one who deigned to help me (phone still in her hand) was annoyed when I asked her for new glasses and the same frames (which I had bought from this store.) How was she supposed to know what frames these were?Okay.I hand her my prescription, find new frames myself and then go to where she's sitting. I apologize if I seem brusque but I'm in a hurry and I really don't need anything special.She informs me it will take at least 35 minutes.For what? She has the prescription. I gave her the order before I walked away. Measurements don't take 30 minutes.While I am sorry I interrupted whatever she was doing on her phone, it was obvious to me that she had done nothing while I was looking at frames.So if you do decide to go here, make sure you build in extra time. Because they have better things to do.(At least she got up. The other clerk was on a personal phone call and didn't even look up.)

If you need glasses, I could not recommend going to the Bethesda For Eyes to have Alejandro help you out more.I called him before I came to the store and he answered questions I had and told me he could help. Once I arrived, he was incredibly kind, helpful and patient helping me pick the right glasses. Alejandro went above and beyond helping. He should get a raise and promotion!
