I prefer venues with a dancing area in front of the stage. Most of the shows are seated at tables, but Bethesda Theater manages to get some really good acts. Worth checking the calendar.

Very intimate setting. Loved it! Service was great! Food was mediocre, but that wasn't why we went - manage your food expectations please. Entertainment was AMAZING! They left it all on the stage! Looking to go back!

nice older venue. Staff could be a little more professional looking. Freshly laundered shirts would lead to bigger tips. Just saying....

It's about the artist/music. Food is too pricey but required if at a table. Why must I eat your food to enjoy the artist? This discourages my patronage.

I rate the theater 5 stars. Definitely would get a table again. I would pass on the food though. Not the best for the price. Use the mandatory $20. per person you have to spend on a drink or two.

I had free tickets to a comedy show featuring Comedy Bae, Billy Sorrels and Faizon Love with Darius McCrary as the MC. First time at this venue; it is small so there really are no bad seats which is a great thing and makes me want to return. The show itself was ok, the service did lack. My server Nikki was awesome on the food but it took a while for our drinks. Considering the place wasn’t even half full, I couldn’t understand why the service was so bad. I do believe the wait staff did their best and the issue was not with them but maybe in the kitchen or at a management level.
I would return for another show but will eat and drink before I get there.

Entertainment/ok, but the service was awful, we did not receive our full order, waiter said he'd take off what we didn't get. I signed for one total but my bank statement says something else. Never received my electronic receipt Julian, or a printed one. 27% gratuity were fees? Not a good look for business ethics. Will dispute.

This was my first visit to the venue. Live music was great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was not good and you can’t get a glass of water without buying a plastic bottle of water. Tapwater was not available. I had Caesar salad which came with iceberg, lettuce and little teeny breadcrumbs sized croutons. It was not cheap. All the food appeared to be prepared offsite and was very expensive.
