Beds comfortable, room basically clean but not as pristine as one would want. Soap was ridiculous....went to Trader Joe's to get our own. Water tasted weird so we how water as well at TJs. Parking very convenient but seemed expensive. Desk people were unfriendly and unhelpful.Walkability: Close to great restaurants! Very walkable. Near Starbucks for breakfast.

Let me tell ya what. This hotel has EVERYTHING!Parking lot you can barely pull into and can't park in? Yep!Black mold? YepRooms that smell like a 4 day unwashed foot? YepWalls that seem thinner than rice paper? YepHomeless begging for money outside? YepSecurity spending more time watching cell phone videos than working? YepPeople across the hall physically fighting and screaming at 9am? YepWeird wet spot on the floor of my room that got bigger through the night? YepAvoid this hotel. Unless you enjoy everything listed above. If you do, you need therapy.Honestly, the ONLY good thing about this hotel were the 2 ladies working the front desk.Safety: MinimalNoteworthy details: Great place to study mold.

Like a Super8, but more expensive. I actually think I’ve gotten better front desk service and more room in a Super8 before. Rooms had a smell to them, water smelled bad, and the elevator certificate of inspection expired in 2015. Oh, and cleaning staff tried to open our door at 10:30 despite check out being 11.

Booked online because some friends my partner and i needed somewhere to stay as we were coming from out of state to record at a studio. Since they talk so highly of their “welcoming staff”, “hot breakfast”, “open pool”, and “clean environment” we figured this would be a good place to stay especially since it was only for 2 nights and right near the studio. Boy was i surprised when we pulled up to literally just 10-15 parking spots…which were all a very tight squeeze… and all almost completely taken up. Luckily there was 2 empty spots and i squeezed into one just barely getting in the spot without hitting the car parked next to me. Then when we came in, we got blankly stared at by the hotel staff that didn’t greet us or say anything until we had said we needed to check in. Though it was very late and the hotel was basically empty, they took so long checking us in .. even though we booked online. After a long trip and then having to continue to wait for check in, I had to go to the bathroom, so while they checked in i had asked if there was a bathroom and one of the staff members looks at me with a blank expression and just says “no”. I just went back and sat down then finally we went up and when we stepped in the room, immediately realized how dirty it was. carpet was gross, the vents had atleast a years worth of dust build up, the toliet had stains in it, the bedding (the sheets, pillow cases, pillows themselves, and the comforter) was all stained, gross and also felt itchy. Neighbor across the hall sounded like he was being killed, we kept hearing “HELP ME HELP ME”. Overall an unpleasant stay and definitely won’t be returning.

The experience wasn’t good. First day we came and the service was bad. The person in the front was with face. Then was problem with the breakfast. The breakfast was only muffins with yogurt in bag. Then the parking is mess. Horrible experience.Rooms: Tiny rooms.Food & drinks: No good breakfast.Noteworthy details: No parking.

Typical low budget hotel. Not many parking spots and it's not free. No maid service. Staff were friendly and helpful especially Jared at the front desk.Walkability: Plenty of nice restaurants within walking distance.

Had to pay for parking but there was never a vacant spot. The hot water decided not to work, and the clerk during 3rd shift was rude utterly useless. And the TVs in the rooms were from 2003. Pa•the•tic!Walkability: My favorite restaurants are all less than 4 blocks away.

I stayed for a month, and I didn’t have a car, so I was anticipating being able to use the laundry services. However, the laundry machines cost quarters, which is ridiculous, and on top of that neither dryer worked. I was told they’d be fixed, but they just put a sign that said out of order on it. I had to air dry all of my clothes.other things:The Internet didn’t work at all in my room, since the speed was so poor. every time I was handed a new towel, it had long black hair stuck in it (my hair is not long or black). They were stains everywhere and everything had a weird smell.Overall, this is definitely not a three star hotel, though maybe that is based on location alone.

While the price was reasonable for a quick overnight stay, there was no parking (although the website site said there was) and the room was dirty, with stained rugs, and smelled like pee. Do not go!!!

This place had the worst service staff ever!!! The guy at the front desk was very nasty and not helpful at all.The room was okay, but the parking was public parking across the street behind the hotel. You had to walk around the whole block to get to the front door!!!The only good thing about it was its proximity to downtown activity.I don't recommend this place, and I will never visit them again even if it is the least expensive hotel on the main street (you get what you pay for...or less).Nearby activities: Good location.

Pool is closed. Lift doesn't work. I'm on the 5th floor. Parking costs an extra $20 a night! The staff are very rude except Jared!Inspite of all this the price is atrociously high. Avoid

Pros:- Location: Conveniently located in the middle of Bethesda with several Metro stations, restaurants, and a grocery store within walking distance- Refrigerator inside the room- Communal microwaves available at the end of the hall- Gym access- security guard present at nightCons/needs improvement:- Parking: limited parking in the front of the building. All parking costs an additional $20 per night. Very tight spacing in the front. However, I think there is more parking around the back of the hotel of which they did not explain to us until we asked.- Decor/appearance of hotel: The walls were dingy and had mysterious stains. The decor was not uniform. Only one side of the bed had outlet and USB connections. Shower handle came off when I went to take a shower and I had to screw it back on.- There is outside seating for the restaurant next-door that is directly in front of the entrance- Staff tends to not be at the desk- hallways and the elevator had strange smells at timesOverall: If you just want a bed for the night, require convenience for your stay, and/or are not particularly picky about hotels, then the hotel was fine; it had the basic accommodations. If you prefer a sleeker, more polished appearance and experience, then I would suggest staying elsewhere. This hotel is more about providing necessities than luxuries.

Pros: Low price, location, beds reasonably comfortableCons: Room smelled terrible (like cat pee). Dresser drawers didn't close (hung open a good 9-12 inches, probably needed to be shimmed). Elevator sounded like it might die at any time. No hot water in bathroom sink. Shower faucet loose, seemed like it might fall off. Internet very spotty. Breakfast consisted of small yogurt, small muffin, juice and water in a paper bag. Not even a coffee station! Pool closed (but maybe a good thing, looked sketchy).Staff were helpful and I don't blame them, but just a heads up!

I recently stayed at the Americana Inn of Bethesda, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! From the moment I checked in, I was impressed with the warm and friendly service of the staff. They were attentive, accommodating, and made me feel right at home. The location of the hotel is perfect, as it is situated in the heart of Bethesda with easy access to shops, restaurants, and local attractions. The convenience of being able to walk to nearby places made my stay even more enjoyable. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. The amenities provided in the room, including a mini-fridge and microwave, were convenient for my needs. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained, with ample towels and toiletries. One of the highlights of my stay was the complimentary breakfast provided by the hotel. The breakfast spread was impressive, with a variety of options including fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, pastries, and hot items like eggs and sausages. It was a great way to start my day and saved me time and money on finding breakfast elsewhere. The hotel also had a fitness center, which I took advantage of during my stay. It was well-equipped with modern machines and was kept clean and organized. It was a nice addition to my stay, allowing me to maintain my exercise routine while on the road. The overall ambiance of the hotel was pleasant, with tasteful decor and a cozy atmosphere. The common areas were well-maintained and provided comfortable seating for relaxation or catching up on work. The hotel also had free Wi-Fi, which was fast and reliable throughout my stay.Lastly, I must mention the exceptional customer service I received during my stay. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. They were always ready to assist with any requests I had, and their friendly and professional demeanor made my stay even more pleasant. In conclusion, my experience at the Americana Inn of Bethesda was outstanding. The convenient location, comfortable room, excellent amenities, and exceptional service made my stay memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Bethesda area, and I look forward to staying here again in the future!
