“This hole-in-the-wall market is nearby and carries most things. The cashier (store owner?) is always so nice and helpful. Last time I was here, I grabbed a single corndog, a mini bottle of wine, and a bag of chips. Totaled about $11. Love this place. Oh, and if you’re into beer and wine, this place has plenty of it!”

“I have been a regular customer of this convenience and smoke shop for over 2 years now, and I can honestly say that they are the best in town. The brothers and staff are always friendly, helpful, and courteous. They greet me by name, remember my preferences, and offer me discounts and freebies. “Convenient neighborhood gas station. There's a couple of pumps that have broken card readers, so pay attention to signs or maybe just go inside to be safe. They're offering cheaper prices if you pay cash, so this is a plus!!! I love this station because they have snacks, cold and headache medicine, my favorite child hood snacks like sun flower seeds and hot sausages! It's the little things and oh yeah GAS!”

“This is my neighborhood store. When I need coffee, sandwich, something quick on the way home from work this is where I go. Their coffee is solid (better than the place around the corner for sure), prepared food is very tasty and there are about 3 sandwiches that are so good I can't seem to buy a different one! But what stands out the most are the people. They know my name and I know theirs. They are good honest people and hard workers who take the time to make you feel welcomed. In a world that seems to be becoming more and more abstract and divorced from simple human to human relationships it's as much a beacon of home that a corner store can be. Over the top review- yes but they've been my place for years so they earned it in my mind.”

“I am just reviewing the food. It was really nice. The servers don't really speak English but I was able to point and gesticulate what I thought looked nice. The shrimp in the creamy soup was delicious and so was the rice and plantains. I went back twice. It was 16.25 for a very large serve of food. I had some leftover for dinner. “I was looking for some fashion and coffee table-type magazines in foreign languages for a work-related event, and wasn’t able to find them anywhere, until someone recommended I check out The Newsroom on Connecticut Ave NW in DuPont Circle. It was great! I bought 3 Vogues (French, German, and Italian), a People magazine (Spanish), and a few other fashion magazines. These will be great for our office’s fun activities related to learning/studying foreign languages. The owners were super helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!”

“Small but covenient Indian grocery store! They're in a busy shopping center next door to Hip Hop chicken. My mom put me onto their mangoes and indeed they are sweet and definitely worth it. They don't always have them, but when they do, I am happy. Their hours online aren't consistent so call ahead if possible. They have other fruits, spices and snacks.”
