“I was pleasantly surprised by Food Lion and only went because I didn't feel like making the drive to Harris Teeter from Ocean Pines. The employees were very friendly and helpful. All of the food was very fresh and prices are terrific considering the crazy food inflation going on. Luckily I signed up for their MVP program online before hitting up the store. I ended up saving $23.25 off a $136 purchase bringing my bill down to $112.97. They had all the produce we needed. The organic produce section wasn't very big, but the produce overall was decently stocked and very fresh. I was happy with the meat selection and picked up a bunch of pork products (ham, hot dogs, bacon and pork shoulder.) I'm most impressed by the vegan items and allergy friendly products. My daughter has 10 food allergies (dairy, eggs, sesame, tree nuts, peanuts, peas, lentils, chicken, turkey and fish.) Normally at home, I mainly shop at Aldi but then also have to hit up Wegmans and Target to get enough products that she can safely eat. With the exception of a few items we brought down, I was able to get 90% of her food from Food Lion. And the prices were no more than I'm used to at Aldi. We especially love the vegan FYH mayonnaise, Enjoy Life snacks and Follow Your Heart cheeses. The Follow Your Heart pepper jack cheese is phenomenal for a vegan cheese. If you're in or around Ocean Pines, forget about the drive to HT or savings at Wal Mart and head to Food Lion where you'll get everything you need for a good price.”
