BrightStar Care of Salisbury is a wonderful organization. Ronnie was extremely compassionate and reassuring from day 1 when I called to see if it was possible to get 24 hour care for my father. Ashley worked so hard to get our schedule lined up while keeping me updated along the way. Things went downhill quickly right around the holidays and this team pulled off what felt like a miracle to get my dad home with 24 hour care. Shout out to Monica, Sharrae, Shanice, and Sara who worked with us around the clock to ensure my father was safe, comfortable and taken care of in his home. Our family will be forever grateful for this incredible team. Thank you!

The support staff at Bright Star are very responsive and helpful. They have a good understanding of our needs.Our aide, Sarah, has been wonderful. She is extremely knowledgeable, caring and helpful. It is a great comfort when she is here with us.

They are very professional and easy to contact and deal with questions.We have Zykeya taking care of my wife. She is absolutely fantastic. Professional, thorough, knowledgeable and goes beyond her normal duties. She is also very friendly and good conversationalist. We whole heartedly recommend her.

My grandmother has theses people and they are very ignorant when you call them to let them know not to come cause the person is in the hospital. They had the nerve to ask me if another person knew she was in there . needless do they know I'm one of the emergency people to talk to about her. They are not and will not be a go to for my family much longer.

After reading reviews, I was relieved that there was a reliable service that could help my mother get to/from important doctor appointments. However, I scheduled with Ronnie and a nurse, Clarise, was supposed to be out to bring my mother to her EEG appointment at 2pm. The nurse was scheduled to arrive at my mother’s home at 12:30pm. The nurse never showed up and communication was severely lacking with when exactly the nurse would arrive. Around 1:30pm, my mother had to call and was notified that the nurse would be there by 2:30pm which was useless.My mother had to have her EEG rescheduled until end of June because of Bright Star’s lack of reliability. It was mentioned that the nurse was running late from other appointments and also was mentioned there was traffic. I understand things happen, but the lack of communication and lack of them having some Plan B in place when situations like this arise is disheartening and disappointing.This appointment was critical for my mother’s dementia diagnosis and treatment plan. Now we have to wait another 3 weeks and I have to again research a service that can help my mother get to her appointments. I would do this myself but being 200 miles away and pregnant with my first child, I need help. We will not rely on Bright Star again.

My husband suffered a major stroke in August. His nurse from Bright Star, Tea Steele, has been a blessing, she’s like part of my family. She truly is a gem, if I could have a full time, live in nurse, I’d want it to be her.She goes above and beyond my expectations, and has taken such good care of my husband, and has been someone for me to lean on during this difficult time.She is dedicated, caring and such a joy to have around. I am so appreciative of all that she does every day, and it’s not easy. So kudos to Tea for a job well done!

Would not recommend company to anyone!!! Extremely unprofessional and terrible impression. I called and was transferred to the Office Manager I believe her name was Kendra? I was looking for more information on what the company had to offer for my grandfather. She was extremely rude, abrupt, and harsh. Almost seemed as if talking to me was an inconvenience. While chatting she talked down to me and made a few very offensive comments, I cannot even imagine how the helpers would treat my grandfather if the manager acts in this manner. Decided to go with Comfort Keepers instead which was a great decision!!

Bright Star has been extremely helpful assisting with scheduling care for my father. Scheduling requests on my end can be piecemeal and chaotic, however Bright Star rises to the challenge every time.

Brightstar has been a real lifesaver. They have wonderful services and are very easy to work with. They are very professional, providing a detailed care plan the can be augmented when needed. We work with Gloria Waller, who is the best. My mom loves her and she is becoming a part of the family. I would highly recommend them!

Since posting my first review last year (see below line), we've had the opportunity to request services for my mother while our primary sitter was on vacation. We continue to be pleased by the dedication and professionalism of BrightStar staff and CNA caregivers---and their willingness to meet Mom's needs.Rose B. gave up her day off to care for Mom so I could fulfill my previously scheduled commitments. Her patience, caring and positive attitude, and bubbly personality were much appreciated.We were so impressed with Thelva A. that she now provides care to Mom twice a week, supplementing our primary sitter's services. She is attentive, engaging, respectful, soft-spoken, and a truly calming influence. We can't thank Thelva enough for brightening our days.---------------------------------Over the past two months, we had the pleasure of working with several CNA/GNAs from BrightStar on an as needed basis for respite care. Whether working a few hours in the afternoon or throughout the night, all caregivers were professional, knowledgeable, and considerate. Each of them treated us like family, providing kind companionship and personal care to my 92-year-old mother. Mom loved everyone and is looking forward to the next time we need their services. After such a great experience, we're planning to schedule one or two overnight shifts a month just so my husband and I can relax. I would highly recommend contacting Brightstar's helpful and professional staff if you need respite services or assistance with in-home care.
