I used this moving company in 2012. They (the movers) broke a valuable lamp and tried to cover it up by hiding it in my garage. When I asked the movers about the missing lamp at my new residence (only the lampshade was delivered) they said they did not know anything about the lamp. When I went back to inspect my home I saw that they had hidden lamp in my garage. So in short, they destoyed my property and then tried to cover it up and blatantly lied to me when I confronted them. PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR PROPERTY!

We moved our two-bedroom condo. Iris was very helpful and friendly on the phone and followed up just as promised. The movers worked hard, treated our things carefully and were friendly to work with. However, after going over our furniture and other larger items ahead of time in order to get an accurate quote, it ended up taking the movers several hours longer than expected. We ended up paying more than twice the amount of the estimate. And since the truck wasn't large enough, we had to rent ourselves a van the following weekend and finish up moving the last of our belongings ourselves. This was a monumental hassle after we just paid more than twice what we were quoted. We didn't have an inordinate amount of stuff I don't think.

I scheduled my move well in advance of hurricane Sandy. But the movers arrived on Monday undaunted by the task. They took great care in wrapping and protecting my goods. Need a mover...call Starlight!!! Thanks Starlight!!

I've read the comments from Starlight and decided they're not the company I will hire to complete my upcoming move. These customers had legitimate complaints A YEAR or MORE AGO, yet the company in its lame attempt to improve its rating score, does the opposite by transferring blame or chastising their customers for events that occurred long ago! Maybe if the company took RESPONSIBILITY for these problems at the time they occurred you might not have received such bad ratings...just sayin. It clearly shows that if I incurred the same types of issues/problems of these previous customers, I can only expect to receive the same type of treatment---an empty meaningless comment a year plus later. Thanks for making my choice easier.

This company is dishonest. They make excuses for everything, including why their reviews with the BBB and other customers are so bad. Their record with the BBB proves it. My experience: 1) They arrived late 2) They left my house with truck only half loaded so they could load another customer's property. 3) They lied about previously weighing the truck, forcing us to unload and separate out other customer's good to get accurate weight. 4) Large furniture items did not arrive. 5) Furniture that did arrive was damaged and had to be replaced. 6) Many personal items in boxes were lost, stolen, or did not arrive. 7) The owner argued profanities and tried not to allow us to file a claim 8) Close to a year later, I still have not received any money! Avoid like the plague!!!!!! Read more:

I did a cross country move with this company and I was very disappointed. Below are the top 3 reasons: #1. No communication after things were picked up. #2. Multiple delays for delivery. #3. Damaged & Missing Items upon delivery. They picked up my things on time, but then it just sat in their truck for two weeks, it was supposed to be picked up and delivered to me within 14 days. I had to keep calling over and over to get updates, there was no proactive communication on their part. They rescheduled the delivery date 3 times on me, twice I took off from work and waited and when no one showed up, I had to call and find out the delivery wasn't going to happen that day. On delivery day, the driver came into my place and asked me to sign all the paperwork. He said he needs everything signed before they start unloading, I was so tired by this time that I just signed the papers. They started unloading. Boxes were so damaged, most of them were torn or crushed. As soon as they finished unloading, they left before I had a chance to look at damage or properly count the boxes. There were so many things broken and one large box was missing. I called the truck driver and delivery crew to find out the process for filing a claim, but I had signed the documents stating that the delivery was complete and there was no damage. I contacted the company representative regarding the damage and the missing box. I got no response and I had no recourse since I signed the documents prior to inspecting my things. The whole experience was unprofessional and disappointing.

We had a great experience with this company. They gave us an accurate quote with lots of information. When the movers arrived they explained all the paperwork first, and as soon as they saw I signed, they jumped into action (they weren't trying to go over the quoted hourly amount...). They were fast and professional and took ALOT of stress out of our move. They were also careful with our belongings. I'd definitely recommend these movers!

Nightmare move. Cost me over $3600 to move two minutes up the road! It took three men 8 hours to pack the household items, and then they ran out of packing material so on the delivery day they ended up spending several hours packing (and with an additional man it was at a much higher hourly rate). When it came time to pack the truck they were carrying out one box at a time - at not time did they ever use a dolley! It took them 13 hours to pack and deliver (two truck loads)! On unpacking it was discovered that they packed clothes in the bottom of wardrobe boxes, folding and wrinkling all our clothes! They also damaged furniture (broke the edge off an antique china hutch). They packed valuable oil paintings on top of each other! Stuff was just thrown into boxes. They also over-charged me an hours time and it took forever to get a refund. They did refund me one-hours time for the packing that was done at the higher hourly rate. Mordi was appologetic and cooperative, and I had used this company before and had no problems; however, after this last move, I can not recommend them, nor will I use them again.

The price they charged wound up being much higher than the quoted price. All kinds of unneccessary additions to the base price, like wrapping random pieces of furniture that didn't need to be wrapped and charging an extra $50 for each piece. The workers themselves did a fine job, even if they don't really speak much English, but the job wound up costing way too much. The office is a major hassle to deal with, poor customer service on their part.
