“Very unassuming place. Once I parked I was not sure I was in the correct area. It's at the end of an industrial strip mall. It has a great assortment of hardware some is salvage and some is dead stock. Inventory changes based on what they get. Overall I would say if you're in the market for vintage hardware or doors come here.”
“Best shop on the Ave if you haven’t been here I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU VISIT. The hospitality is amazing, the flavors and variety is crazy, and its local. The best pop up UPTOWN. If you know you know!”

2405 18th St NW, Washington“We've been to this merchant a few times. I have a differentability (thank you to my little great niece for changing my perspective ?) and I some times require an aide for walking. My husband and I found some beautiful hand carved canes here and at very reasonable prices. We receive constant compliments going through the airport home and even more when I use them as a walking aide.Purchased hand made leather shoes from here and my son was elated with his gift ?.The staff is always very friendly and you can meet some very interesting people here as well. The store has two levels so don't miss going upstairs. There is definitely a lot to see ? so plan on spending some time to find your treasure. With all that said a little more organization would be nice so you can better see the selection and they have cats all over the place which I was not a fan of. However, my family and I visit here pretty much every time we're in the area and we look forward to viewing their new offerings.Check them out! Hopefully you'll find something interesting of your own in your visit.”
“Excellent thrift furniture store. Prices appear more reasonable compared to many competitors. Discovered a lovely midcentury modern dining buffet. Giving it 4 stars - will certainly revisit for any future furniture needs.”
“I love Cheeky's! Heather has done a really great job at finding unique, useful mid-century housewares and furniture at reasonable prices. Her stock is always changing. Today I bought a set of campaign coupe glasses, a splayed fruit bowl, and lovely pearl inlayed ceramic coasters. In the same area is Suffragette City Vintage wears and jewelry. I bought graduated rose quartz drop earning and also many vintage pieces in the past. You also cannot miss My Dead Aunts' Books! I can spend hours in this place! Thankfully Vigilante and Franklin's are nearby!”
“The gentleman ( and I use that word very purposefully) at Keller's Antiques was kind, welcoming, and very helpful. He has a smaller store than the other two in Oldtown Bowie. But there are definitely some hidden treasures in there if you're willing to dig a bit. He also, proclaimed to be flexible on the prices of items in the shop, and proved this as he was showing me a phonograph or two. The biggest issue I have with the shop is the condition of some of the antiques. This is definitely a place where you'll get something for a great price and will put the money you saved into restoration/repair. The owner showed me several victrola style phonographs, and all of them definitely needed some love. He also also has a backroom with a good deal of medium to large antique mantle clocks; but alot of them look like they need need a bit of love too. That being said, I did walk out with a Helen Reddy record "Helen Reddy's Greatest Hits", and a 3 piece mid century cheese/appetizer serving set that looks like it hadn't been used at all for 10 bucks. My friend walked out with a small brass (what seemed to be) Persian style shoe ashtray for 2 dollars. This is a store that I'd 100 percent stop by when I come back to Oldtown Bowie. Among the three shops, it has the most reasonably prices and a decent selection. Lots to look at!”
“I’ve been friends with Doug for about 12 years and Modern Mobler in DC and Kensington are the best stores to shop at for Mid Century Modern Furniture, art, glassware and decor. It’s just like stepping into a Mad Men set.”
“I love GoodWood for its selection. I love their incense and candle selection. The staff have never acknowledged me in the 3 times I have been inside and few times I have purchased. The owner seems to be very nice, though.”

“Very kind owner full of fun and lovely energy (and some great stories). The shop is cluttered and quirky with so much charm. Went in and had a lovely conversation and was welcomed with apparent open hearted love and kindness. Earned some extra points after finding out she’s Turkish (I am Greek ?)Very wonderful and accepting place, will be visiting again ❤️❤️”
